I enjoy that no matter what the problem is, Andrew always sees the positive! That’s a.lesson for all of use.
As much as I love their positivity, I do wonder how they are when the cameras aren't rolling. I would love to see the behind the scenes shenanigans
I love when you give the chickens a well deserved treat
Feed the melons to the cows, We Love hearing from Grammy, just tell us whats for lunch Grammy , just like the family we all love to watch. Keep up the good work!!!
Callie is definitely a Veggie Girl. She was asking the right questions in the field like a true Farmer. ❤
I think so too!
Watch what you say on the farm n fields .Beans stalk potatoes have eyes and the corn has ears!!!
When I worked for the University of Idaho extension they put in a speaker in their vineyards and orchards that blared hawk and predator sounds that kept the birds away effectively!
Callie’s voice is adorable asking all the good questions. Lovely that you have things like this to watch back years later.
That little Callie is surely sweeter than sugar ❤ y'all keep up the amazing work 💪😊
love seeing y'all outside eating sweet corn with a margarita!
That’s the best feeling as a farmer. The meal at the end of the day. When you start getting your first ripe fruits and veggies of the season.
Whoa, Andrew...a little happy at the end of this one. 😆Safety except your back! Right? 😄
The very small potatoes are great cooked in green beans or with green peas and thinkened. Yum
Your guys are technically my farm teachers
Just think, this time next year veggie babies will be walking their first field w the family ❤❤
Hello Veggie People,
Whoo Hoo pickin your first sweet corn🎉
Enjoy🎉
We absolutely LOVE hearing the sounds of fresh vegetables being picked off the vine! Praise Jah for abundantly providing!! xoxoxoxoxoxox
Hey Andrew I use to grow produce here in Tennessee the only things we found over the years for birds is silver tape it’s a Crome tape we put it on metal fence post and let it fly around it helps a lot and also you can get fake snakes to put out in your fields too it will help with the birds!
Here (DE) birds make nests from flash tape and peck fake snakes into pieces. It’s a jungle out there!
From little seeds, wonders grow on your special farm where family love also grows together.
That corn off the grill looked sooooo good!!!
Time for layered cabbage a german dish. Layer of cabbage on bottom then a layer of sliced potatoes then a layer of seasoned hamburger meat then repeat and when pot is full add some beef broth or what ever kind you want to.
Sounds good, all I ever do is sauté cabbage and onions pour some soy sauce on it and eat it with steamed rice.
I love cabbage just about anyway I can get it. Grew up growing and eating a lot of cabbage. Also Kolrabi( which wasn’t in the stores then), Choyte.
Very grand when earth provides us eatibles.
I would like the full recipe and cooking instructions for this
Yum!
I'm fascinated by the impact agriculture technology has on improving crop yields.
Nothing beats fresh sweet corn in the field
Trained professionals.....God job Pop Pop👍
Thanks for the videos
I love seeing the farm to table style videos!!! And of course Callie and Pop Pop!

Nothing like fresh sweet corn, been following for probably a year now, love your videos keep it up.
Welcome Back, Grandpa Brian! Paybacks are Heck so get Ready to Work and Sweat. 😬👍🙏
I think Callie has a good curiosity about her farm. You got a serious load of eggs! Nice to see "Pop Pop" back to keep things moving in the right direction.
Corn! And we saw it being planted. What a great circle of events.
There’s just something sweet about the special squeak of running your hand over a head of cabbage❣️
Right?!
Love watching, everything is looking so good.
Joel dropping the hint! Bum in the oven! Callie getting a new cousin! YEAH!!!!!
You guys are such a hard working people 💪👍😍 bless you all 🙏🙏❤️❤️ Callie 💖🙏🙏💖 love you little veggie girl 😗💕😗😗😗
I had sweet corn for breakfast today. It was fantastic!!
I love the squeak from the peppers.
Good day to all, peace.
beauteous.
nice garden patch!
Thanks for visiting
Fresh sweet corn is delicious!!! No need to boil it ridiculously long....a quick saute/grill or even raw is delicious
The wonders of your farm mean so very much to people that like the eatible greens. Very special.😢
You worked Callie she is tired.good reason to clean out the shop. Green nets like at Gracie’s garden, for now, and scarecrows again.
over the watermelon and cantaloupe.
Andrew, you can tell your chickens are happy. I think really like chickens since they seem so friendly. Great video.
red potatoes are my favorite!!!!!!!!
Wow that was a super happy buuuhh byeeeeee
Great farming,picking and eating 👍👍👍
"Thank you for your video, which has given me more knowledge and insights about your country. I wish you success. Your video is really great."
Problem is Andrew is we cannot buy your Sweet Corn because we do not live in your local area.
You’re still supporting us tho!
Wish Ochs Farm shipped corn out to it's viewers.
We pay for the corn and shipping charges. That corn looks sooooooo good.
Just now learned from you how to check my corn ripeness. Thank you. Am 77 and never knew this. Love your chanel and your family. Looks like hour family. May God's Holy love and the abundance of His Holy blessings be upon you all. In the Holy name of Yeshua Jesus. Amen.
Try some floating row cover held down by rocks to protect your melons? Or insect netting?
while you got that shop empty maybe do a cleanup it is so awesome to watch
We're having sweet corn tonight 😋
So good
As a farmer I love looking at your channel bro
I agree with Andrew, put your hardboiled eggs in spicy pickle juice once the pickle's are gone
Impressive one handed catch😂
It Brings back memories when I see you carrying Callie around but I didn't have a camera too! Watch the back. Great videos and different angle shots. I notice and appreciate it!
It's the only thing I eat, I'm corniverous. Have y'all heard of pirate corn? Cost a buck an ear. I gotta say though, that field looks a-maize-ing.
Dad jokes are the best 😂
I love eating sweet corn straight off the stalk. Nothing better! Love watching your videos. Andrew, you have a beautiful family. Love from a hillbilly from Arkansas!
Ask pops how his brother's doing. ❤❤many prayers for him & all the family. God bless you all and many prayers. Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister 🙏🏻
Thank you from The Netherlands
Take those little spuds wash and boil them woth skins on add butter and eat
Picking potatoes like you did reminds me of when I was young and thsts how we did it. Such a beautiful memories.
New potatoes boiled are the best with just salt & pepper and a bit of kerrygold bitter. Omg so good!
my step dad always boiled them with some mint in the water
@@caroldocherty6810 I'm irish so we nevet did that. New potatoes with a piece of salmon yum! New potatoes go with everything. My mouth is watering haha!
Do you guys ever just have a big family dinner/bbq with all your fresh produce or does it all go for customers first?
Nothing better than small red potatoes with a batch of green beans, onions and ham with a side of cornbread! Yumm
Your hard work is truly paying off in those fruits
Yaaaaaaahooooo❣️ya ya !!! :-)
Time to defend the melons!❤🍉🍈🍉🍈🍉🍈🍉🍈
All the corn looks good, I have one corn in my garden!
It's a great day!
I was led to NAPA cabbage because of your show. Makes the best stir-fry!
What if there is not a bird issue? Ground squirrels etc?
What about setting up a bird waterer so they don't have to hunt for it? I wish you luck!
You can eat Napa cabbage like lettuce, it stays fresh for ages too.
That sweet corn looks yummy. I saw sweet corn for.$2 an ear at our market yesterday. Very expensive.
I can remember when sweet corn was 12 ears for $1 at the grocery store!! Never see those prices again!! Nowadays, it is almost cheaper to grow your own sweet corn and other vegetables than buy it at the chain grocery stores!! The vegetables you can't grow or don't do well in your soil/garden you can purchase from small family farmers like the "veggie boys and girls" to support them!!
It will be a lot fresher anywhere but a supermarket. Look for local grower’s markets where the vendor can only sell their own stuff.
Our robins are picking at the flower beds this year, which weve never seen before. The dry year is causing lots of unusual problems
I’ve had good results from putting up some string and attaching disposable aluminum plates. The shiny plates moving with the rattle has helped. Don’t know if that would work with ur scale?
Heya... Love the video... The way I have it fixed that the birds don't bother my crops anymore... find rocks that are the same shape as a ready to pick fruit or veg... Paint it to look like them... and then put them out in the fields... but I am a small farmer...but they learn fast not to peck the produce. Hugs from Esquimalt
i put yard wind chimes in my garden like 10 of them and i put a what look like a man in there fixed my problem.
Where's Jake he protected the veggies for a long time, another great video keep up the good work
Joel accidentally chopped him up with the bushhog. Not his fault he was laying down on the Job again.
Show me the pumpkins🙂 and the mums lol..getting closer to fall harvest.. Which means cooler weather hopefully.. Great video!
We always put out rubber snakes to scare the birds in our garden.
And they were just seeds. What a great show.
Do you know the kids toy windmills, would that work againt the birds. Some people use a kind of cannon noise that goes off every 30 minutes, its like a shotgun noise
o lord first time for everything never seen you 2 with a buzz lol.
Waving a hand from texas
Great video. I could taste that corn. I love to eat it in the field
My Farmer Granny (may she rest in peace) worked 60 acres near Terra Haute in Indiana. About this time of year when we would go down to visit her on her farm all the fields
around her were standing 10ft tall with field corn.
!
Really enjoyed watching 👍👍
Love This Family and Videos
I use to love eating fresh sweet corn right off the stalk. My step-father worked on a farm that grew mostly livestock feed such as field corn and soybean and occasionally cotton. The benefit of him working there was the farm owner allowed the employees to plant a few acres of corn, potatoes and cabbage depending the the time of year. We would get whatever we wanted from harvest.
Looks like it took more time moving the camera than it took to cut a couple of baskets of cabbage.
lol yep
long netting for melons May protect from birds
Time for Daniel to run up and down the melon rows making choo choo train sounds!
I love red potatoes they are my favorite cause they have like a sweet taste. Easy to bake and love the soup they make. Cindy M.
The crops y’all have picked look wonderful!! Scarecrows?? Dinner looks so good!! Hey to Joel !! 😀😀
Hi Andrew we have a small farm and have had a lot of bird problems in the past. This spring we bought a bird cannon that works off of propane. It definitely keeps the birds away it seems to keep the birds away for about a 10 acre area. We have ours to fire about every 6 or 7 minutes and we set the timer to come on @7 am and shut off about an hour before dark it sounds like a rifle shot
rabbit and giant gourami fish can eat fresh corn silk sir just let you know and zamzam water
The corn really looks mouth wateringly good.😊
Lucky you dont have SS guarding your corn field .. youd have no ears left 🤣
👍👌❤️🇨🇦, I am here to view great video content, always 💯 %
it is delicious
Will you please do a "Cabbage patch Kids" picture with the babies?!
Birds and hawks don’t like owls the bigger the better. Good luck. I found mine in a garage sale-broken almost in half-worked great tied it to my deck.😊
Hey Veggie Boys. I sent an Amazon package to Bryan at Ochs farm and it should arrive before Monday. He can open it and then delegate work! It's something you can use.
A couple years ago I sent snow cleats for tennis shoes or boots after Daniel and Andrew took a fall on the ice. Then the rest of the winter there wasn't enough ice to use them and last year was the same. I didn''t use mine once last year but I still keep them. Like others, I am a huge fan. Dan from Ohio. Oh also, could you link an Amazon wish list for the farm again? I can't find it.
Y’all have some beautiful rows of produce ❤🎉
😂🎉turkey pastrami
I feel your pain when it comes to the crows we have several ewes missing eyes from them and have lost several lambs to them
