Hey Andrew I use to grow produce here in Tennessee the only things we found over the years for birds is silver tape it’s a Crome tape we put it on metal fence post and let it fly around it helps a lot and also you can get fake snakes to put out in your fields too it will help with the birds!

I can remember when sweet corn was 12 ears for $1 at the grocery store!! Never see those prices again!! Nowadays, it is almost cheaper to grow your own sweet corn and other vegetables than buy it at the chain grocery stores!! The vegetables you can't grow or don't do well in your soil/garden you can purchase from small family farmers like the "veggie boys and girls" to support them!!

Paint it to look like them... and then put them out in the fields... but I am a small farmer...but they learn fast not to peck the produce. Hugs from Esquimalt

I use to love eating fresh sweet corn right off the stalk. My step-father worked on a farm that grew mostly livestock feed such as field corn and soybean and occasionally cotton. The benefit of him working there was the farm owner allowed the employees to plant a few acres of corn, potatoes and cabbage depending the the time of year. We would get whatever we wanted from harvest.

It definitely keeps the birds away it seems to keep the birds away for about a 10 acre area. We have ours to fire about every 6 or 7 minutes and we set the timer to come on @7 am and shut off about an hour before dark it sounds like a rifle shot

Hey Veggie Boys. I sent an Amazon package to Bryan at Ochs farm and it should arrive before Monday. He can open it and then delegate work! It's something you can use.
A couple years ago I sent snow cleats for tennis shoes or boots after Daniel and Andrew took a fall on the ice. Then the rest of the winter there wasn't enough ice to use them and last year was the same. I didn''t use mine once last year but I still keep them. Like others, I am a huge fan. Dan from Ohio. Oh also, could you link an Amazon wish list for the farm again? I can't find it.
