Like I'm picturing a situation where Angel is drawing in a piece of paper and the parents are looking at him telling him how beautiful it is, even clapping, and then Max is in the back building a legit rocket and calling them and they are saying "yeah that's nice sweety" not even looking at him. And that would be the reason why Max and Angel don't have a relationship anymore.

You could have Max make a mess in the baby's room (which can be done by clicking on the floor), which could get his parents angry at him. I think parents yelling at kids lowers their emotional control.
I know this is pre-recorded but.... Max is clingy which means he gets sad way more often than angry...you should change his trait. Sim parents that have poor traits (like irresponsible etc) can encourage that bad behavior in their offspring...you'd have to cheat to do so...but you could add the bad traits to Max's parents so they can encourage it in him. The easiest way to make the responsibility go down is to set a curfew, and then have max break it by leaving the house (he can do this as a toddler too). I have my toddler race off to the middle of the road to make messes in the middle of the night...(when you click on the ground it will say something like, "this breaks curfew" if you're clicking far enough away) edit: I also think you still have the "evolve all" mod on...which might be why his dad was evolving other plants other than what you told him to
I think they updated evolve on plants to have the sim do more than one, I have noticed when I play that I evolve all plants with only one in que and I don't have a mod for that

He will show them how rich he is, how he has a big and beautiful penthouse, how he has a successful family, and how he is better than everyone in every single way.

They think letting Max be "free" to "discover himself" and "be his own person" is the right thing to do. For that reason I think they should let Max keep the bigger bedroom, because they think that's a good thing. It's interesting seeing how sad Max is, I think all my tots have really easily gotten angry (every time they hit red food or tiredness they get angry). If your parents gave the negative adult traits they can reinforce negative behavior - so if Max ages up to adult with negative traits he could reinforce bad behavior.

Max goes having done everything in life, only to see Angel living a boring but happy life with his family. (although somehow also being imortal like Max I guess.) The two then play a ton of chess games and maybe battle on the climbing wall and stuff.
I think they updated the plant evolving so that one action covers all plants of the same type. Wish it was fun though, would make things so much better! Love the series :>
I reckon in one of the snooty houses there could be a child the same age who ends up being his rival - loving parents and top grades in school and the like. Then Max can fight the other kid all the time to lower his empathy and emotional control (I'm guessing - haven't played the parenthood enough to see what fighting actually does).

To make Max angier you could cheat to make his trait Fussy instead of Clingy! He could Throw Fits then by the sounds of it, but I've read it can be a buggy cheat
You should swap the kids' rooms around! 'Favourite' child Angel gets the huge room filled with toys and decorations and attention whilst Max is cast off to the back of the house as an afterthought with very drab and minimal items. Very subconsciously traumatising for the child... :D
Personally I think he should switch Max's room with Angel's room, then the parents dont have to go so far to take care of Angel and it could be more like max just has his room further away and no one ever bothers to go in it

Because Max in the original let's play is very controlled, polite, and responsible but insensitive. He's like a high functioning sociopath.

As a parent, I can confirm that it is annoying when other parents tell you how to do your job. It's especially annoying if they lecture you from everything from diet 'your child should be on a raw food diet... we have a veggie patch in our garden' to how to raise your kids 'you can't possibly leave the room to pee, that would be neglectful', well every time I hear those comments I'm just thinking 'well go pee on your vegetables then.'
Max should have a really distant relationship with his dad and then maybe when Max becomes a teenager the dad dies, and that messes him up completely and that's what make him become psycopath Max.
