What is Moxie soda?

Maine's state drink is Moxie soda. So what does it taste like?
Love it or hate it, Mainers have lots of opinions about it's funky flavor. Are you a fan? Lovers and haters alike will be at the annual Moxie fest in Lisbon, Maine on July 12 - 14.

I went back home for my honeymoon in April and had to show the wife amatos and moxie! We never got the chance to eat red hotdogs though 😞 there was so much to show the wife I just forgot

I have multiple moxie signs in the house. Oh also the coozie for my beers. I use it so people ask me about the drink and then I get to talk about maine lol

Anyone can drink Moxie when it is ice cold, but you leave it in the sun for a few hours, and you will have a much different experience. LOL
