In case you aren't aware already: Most of the voiceclips in super circuit(except yoshi) reuse their voiceclips from the japanese version of mario kart 64...which in itself were reused voiceclips from mario party 1 and 2
You've done fantastic work on this! Most of the voices fit really well. One little bit of feedback: I think Toad's voice volume should be lowered a little. It does stand out from the rest slightly. If that could be adjusted, this hack would be perfect in my opinion.
@@chewy_bells_rule someone made a high quality music hack that uses code from a beta version of the game to play higher quality wav files for the music. I already tested it, and it doesn't seem to cause issues with the voices hack.
Hello, I've been playing your mod recently, but for some reason, I've not been able to unlock the Extra tracks despite getting 100 coins in a cup twice like normal, you think you know the problem?
I've not run into this as I haven't actually played my mod that much, but I'd guess I accidentally overwrote some consequential data value as I was copying in the voice clips, as I did it by loading the entire raw ROM data into Audacity and replacing the voice clips there, so there could definitely be some hidden data I overwrote. If that's the case, fixing it would probably not be very straightforward for me, unfortunately.
I've never owned a 3DS or any other Nintendo handheld besides Switch, which I really don't use much. I'm only familiar with GBA emulation on PC on which it runs fine for me, so I doubt anything I know would help with your situation.
@Yocaedom-citi-inland Since you're familiar with Audacity, I'll give you some directions. Import the .gba file into Audacity as raw data (mono signed 8-bit PCM). If you are replacing a voice clip from Peach, Toad or Yoshi, the sample rate should be 10500 Hz, and it should be 8000 Hz for other characters. I suggest you set the project sample rate to the same, but that isn't necessary. You can find the voice clips around a quarter of the way through the track. Import an audio clip you would like to put into the game, and edit it so it fits into the length of the clip you want to replace. Export your edited clip as an unsigned mono 8-bit .wav file at the sample rate you chose before, and import the exported clip. Put the clip at the time of the audio you would like to replace, and select the clip, and copy and paste it over that audio, making sure the audio you are pasting is exactly the same length as the audio you are replacing, and that you are not pasting over any non-audio data. Export the edited rom as RAW (header-less) which is under "Other uncompressed files" as a mono signed 8-bit PCM at the same sample rate as the track, then change its extension from .raw to .gba so you can test it.
Kind of. Mario's lines are slightly different in MKSC than MK64, and I replaced those, but both are voiced by Charles Martinet. I didn't replace DK's or Bowser's voice.
This is what should've been, except Yoshi's voice could've been unchanged, due to Yoshi's Story being the first game where he has an actual voice.
I personally don’t mind Yoshi’s squeaky toy voice but I get where you’re coming from
Thank you for making this!
I personally found it distracting how Luigi's voice was higher than Mario's in the original.

False mario party one and two came out after Mario Kart 64

I was thinking earlier if there was a mod like this and it exists! Thank you for making this
6:06 Donkey Kong probably malding
Luigi’s voice in Super Circuit is not even accurate. Should’ve been the 64 voice all along
That's because it's his voice actor for the Japanese version of _MK64,_ Julien Bardakoff. It's also why Toad, Peach and Wario sound so different!
0:12 Mario
2:12 Luigi
4:38 Peach
6:25 Toad
9:17 Yoshi
11:55 Wario
It's a lot better than the original
The alternate universe of me playing this game as a kid with the proper voices...
How the game’s voices should’ve sounded in the final version
As a Luigi main in Mario Kart Super Circuit this is a godsend
3:04 mamma mia
Mario Kart Super Circuit? More like: Mario Kart 64 Pocket Edition.

Can’t believe Nintendo didn’t add the English voices in Mario kart super circuit
Anyone know if this is compatible with the music improvement hack?
Which hack are you talking about?

can you have a patch to put the normal yoshi voice back in
I don't know how to make patches, but I added a version with Yoshi's normal voice to the description.
Agradecido con el de arriba!
Can you make a version without Modifying Mario and Yoshi's voices? I'm fine with how they both were, i just want Luigi, Peach, Toad, and Wario's fixed
Here you go:

Wrong clip when selecting Luigi, should say “Yahoo”
This is better

@@chewy_bells_rule oh sorry, I was just dumb. I forgot you're supposed to complete the special cup first before going back for the extra tracks

Ok, last comment. So i tried installing your modded copy to my new 3DS, but the game doesn't start up, you think you got a solution to this?

@Yocaedom-citi-inland I did it using Audacity. It's kind of a complicated process.

They should have kept the Mario Kart Advance name and focus on localizing the voices
Did you also mod over the voices that already had the US Voices?

I never noticed that Mario sounded different. I never played either game, honestly.
Nevermind i figured it out thanks!
That’s how the game should have been excluding Japan.
