- It's a Poland game, it's an achievement run, but most importantly today Tommy will show you the most OP tactic in all of HOI4! Most people in HOI4 Multiplayer run this and it's what Tommy calls the Orc Rush tactic. He will be showing it off today in this Poland game while going for the secret achievement "Bearer of Artillery" aka getting Wojtek as a general. So the Orc Rush Poland will be lead by a bear general. Well you can tell that there's not a lot of..."computing power" there but nonetheless we must go beyond!

I personally can never bring myself to do a grand campaign. The reason is that it's so easy to get so powerful in CKII that you can't possibly lose unless you do on purpose.

The hard part about playing Poland is deciding when it's OK to counter attack the enemy. The Germans never run out of guns, and the Soviets never run out of men. You can hold the line indefinitely against both if you know how to play them, but as soon as you stretch the line or push, your army can quickly collapse unless one or both of the countries you already fighting is out of manpower or guns.

When I was doing it, I gave Gdańsk to Germany, so they could name it Danzig, and then defended against soviets. I almost lost there, as I was too slow with taking Latvia, soviets got it, making my border too long for my armies. They pushed and took like 50% of my country before I stabilized the line. Eventually Germany attacked them, I let them fight, and then pushed. At the same time I justified on Iran, so when I attacked them, they joined Comintern, making it possible to take Hamadan in one joined peace. I also got military access to Italy. Later I attacked Germany and did Order 66 on Italy (I absolutely didnt have to, my forces were just destroying the axis, it was just the cherry on top)

About Wojtek: He was a bear from Iran, fighting alongside Polish troops that came from Russia to north Africa, and then they invaded Italy together alongside the Allies- British, French and American.
After the war, he was transported to Scotland, but he never stopped smoking or drinking beer .

Fun fact the Luftwaffe also had a pet bear that would go swimming and drink beers.

The strategy I used for getting this achievement was to make 120 20 width cavalry divisions, invade Lithuania and Latvia, give up Danzig, then slowly kill the Soviets and declare war on Iran while at war with the Soviet’s. Iran will join the Comintern, which gets rid of any guarantees that the allies had on it. I kill the Soviets (full annexation) and then I turned the Hussars, now with motorized on the line, into Germany. I had level 7 generals by the time I went into Germany in 1944.
