  • My Renault Megane 2010 (6 years old) started to have water coming in through the airvents by the feet... pooling up when it rained heavy.
Found the problem to be clogged up drains between the hood and the windscreen. This video helps you remove what needs to be removed. Very simply - more so than on other cars...

Great video. My 2015 was leaking. Was pissed and was gonna get rid. Following your repairs I am a happy bunny again. Didn't think it would be so easy to fix.

Thanks for the instructions, cleared the blockage and its all fine again. Just make some signs where your wipers are (in my case it was so dirty the signs where already there :)) )

I found I didn't need to remove the wiper arm just, take the wiper blade off you can remove the plastic cover over the wiper arm , also you can pull the wiper blade arm side to side it will just rotate on the motor gears. Once the wiper motors LH, RH were remove (quite easy

You can reach the drain holes right at the back pick out the dirt/mud that bungs it up and pour a few litres of boiling soapy water in the well soon flushes it all through . Make sure when you put the wiper motors back in you Locke the support rubber foot back into the hole on the bulkhead. Pull the wiper arm back up in the open position . Fyi if you put the wipe stalk in the car down the wiper arms go up .

I have this same problem on my 2009 megane, I am going to try this method although is there any way to do this from the underside using a piece of curtain wire?, where do the drain channels exit under the car? thanks for the video.

it is the top of a tube. By this tube water should go down. But in it dirt could be gathered, which stops the water. This part looks like this: archiwum.allegro.pl/oferta/megane-iii-odplyw-wody-z-podszybia-podszybie-i7453834212.html

What were you using to clean it?

    • @ellsspeculiar

Sebastian S First my fingers to pull out larger pieces. Then a water hose and compressed air, and then water again. All to make sure water flowed freely.
