It's crazy how this guy that many people call Shaker almost became a back-to-back Worlds Champion again if only they had won last year. Meanwhile, others who are often top candidates in "the best midlaner debate" can't even reach the Worlds Finals.
As someone new to the esports scene of league (or league in general) i'm pretty sure anyone who doesnt agree with the GOAT being Faker is just trolling at this point because his trophy cabinet alone already speaks volumes, then there's the T1 dynasty that no other team has gotten close to, then there's the fact he's just bookended a decade of playing with 2 3-0's, then there's the fact that people cant even say he got carried in this Worlds because everyone saw how bad T1 was when he got injured! Im learning lots of stuff these past weeks about Faker and it's insane. He even has the MJ/Kobe type stories that his colleagues talk about, i saw one that said he apparently chose a trash champion in a scrimmage, then the opponent team said "okay dont look down on us that much" then he apprently proceeded to get a penta kill. Like what? Insane. Sorry this probably seems like ultra glazing but im new to his history so the stuff you guys are used to, it's a bit mindboggling still to me 😅
Even now, I question if I am dreaming or if it's real, but they did it. They finally won. This roster always held a special place in my heart. I've been watching t1 for years, and I loved Faker Bengi, and Wolf and Bang combo. But for some reason I'm much more invested in this team than I was with them as a 5 member unit. I'm so thrilled they finally got a championship together. Honestly its such a vibe and great story for these 5.

@@battlebots1 Most of them pretty much started out as rookies playing for T1, now they're literally world champs and arguably the best players in their roles. Their contracts expire this year so they're likely going to get huge offers from other teams. The ball is in T1's court to decide whether or not the collective salaries of paying for 5 world champs is worth it to possibly get a 5th trophy (it probably isn't, business wise.)

I'm 100% new to league esports and started watching in this worlds only cuz of Big A streams, but the storylines are some of the best I've seen from any esport scene i've followed. T1 vs JDG was INSANE.
Thats great! League esports really are amazing! If you ever feel like going back to watch an old series, would definitely recommend ROX vs SKT 2016 and possibly SKT vs SSG 2016, imo best two series of all time from the best tournament of all time.

Regardless, t1 still wins easily but they really hurt theshy in blind picking him 3 games especially in a punishing lane like top vs Zeus.

Your friend was wrong about Faker being washed or being benched for Easyhoon. That was in 2015 was Faker was at the height of his power winning 2 worlds titles in a row. It was because T1 had 2 teams and in Season 5 they were only allowed one team. Which is when Marin, Easygoing, Bang and Wolf all came over to play with Faker.. Easyhoon just played certain games because he was at the time better at Azir, but Faker was still by far the best player in the world at that moment
