    They don't have to be "ultra-processed".
    They even add iron(iii) gluconate to canned black olives to "help preserve the color".
    I'm sure they could choose numerous other compounds to help preserve the color, but they choose iron(iii) gluconate.
    Being an oxidant, it's not good for you, and additionally precipitates out the hydroxytyrosol (the best molecule) in the olives.
    Lastly, your body can't filter out this type of iron, so it enters bloodstream.
    Everything they do is in the name of messing up our health. I've gotten to that part already...

    Hate how mainstream media puts a subliminal focus on sugar with the granola bar and “sugar sweetened” yogurt 🙄 there is so much fat, salt and processed animal products in ultra processed “food”. They gloss right over that!
