Jeep Commander OM642 Diesel Charging Issues SOLVED!

Video showing some people how I solved some charging issues with my 2008 Jeep Commander with OM642 diesel engine.
Quick summary: The diesel engine stopped charging. Would charge at idle rpm, but any more rpm it wouldn't. I purchased and installed a replacement alternator. Unfortunately I failed to realize the replacement alt had two pins in the signal plug vs the old alt having one pin. The new alt charged but the battery light was on in the dash with an error code "Unable to communicate with generator". Instead of replacing the alternator again I simply swapped the correct voltage regulator from the original alt to the new one.
Luckily this solved my issues!
Maybe this can help some people out. 180amp alt.
