They weren't really trying to tell the story of the real guys, it was more of a movie inspired by those events. I don't think it would've been as fun if it were completely based on the true story, I enjoyed watching "hawkeye" jumping off buildings and ambushing them in the woods.. Also, at the end Jerry admits he never felt close to the others as they were with each other and he realises that it's only because he's been running away all the time because he wanted to win so badly, seeing that he was extremely competetive. He does end up playing with the others at the hospital which was one of my favourite scenes😂 .. Basically, I give it a Junior Prize for my taste☺.
I simply do not understand why every critic and skeptical audience member is taking this movie so dang seriously. Lots of movies are supposed to be taken seriously, and have absurd moments that take you out of the film. But this is a freaking buddy comedy! Breaking through houses and property damage while playing an extreme game of tag should be exactly what you're coming to watch this movie for. It's not supposed to be hyper realistic, it's supposed to be goofy and epic and fun. And for me, it did all those things in a fun experience.
Fun fact about the small bit about playing at the funeral: The people who actually played that in real life actually tagged one of the guys at his dad's funeral. The one who got tagged mentioned that in an interview.

Where does he find people to go along with his stunts? Why don't the friends ever know where he is? Why was Hawkeye missing from -Endgame- Infinity War?
I give it a full rental. Because the premise of it I felt was really hilarious and if it was entertaining to me. the idea that these grown men have been playing tag for over 30 years and still stay friends till this day was an interesting story. That's why it was funny to me. And it had some emotional aspects of it, specially Jeremy Renner's character and the guy dying of cancer. I loved it

There's these 2 classmates who've been playing tag since kindergarten. And the funny thing is that they're going into high school next year PLUS they might go to the same one (I'm also going to one of the persons high school as well)
I didn't know how to feel about the pity tag. It may be considered a kind sacrifice for some but it would have been more satisfying to get a legitimate strategic revenge tag.
