UP頂いてから何度も繰り返しみていましたが、12年経った2023年にコメントしています。
このときは、イヤモニちんでて、
アンプモニターのバックも全く聴こえなくて、
皆感覚で演奏するしかなかったという状況を
後々知り、
やっぱDirってすごいな～と思っていました。
この動画をみた時は、辛くて直視できなかったのですが、
12年経って見直したら
やっぱDir en Greyって凄いバンドだな～ってあらためて思い
涙でました😭

Damn, I wish Dir En Grey would perform at festivals here in the US. They've been my favorite band since I was in middle school.
I saw them in Boston back in 2010 at an indoor venue. They played with Avenge Sevenfold and it was a friggin' blast. My only regret is that Arche hadn't come out yet. One of my favorite songs from this band is "Uroko", and it would have been awesome to see that one performed live.
I like the whistle screams but my favorite is 2:06 for his pitch, the reverb and the full force of sound. That sounds like the truest of screams to me.
Singing was rough, he sounded tired/sick. Crazy hard song to sing though.

i wish lol. his screams are barley as good as they used to be though
+Devonshire Pee not as good but if you compare the older videos you can see what I mean
+Austin Washke compare the most recent sukekiyo stuff to the 2014 and even 15 performances. He's loosing his touch.
His touch is there, it's his voice that's fading...
He is getting old and the abuse to his vocal cords are showing there effect
Regulo actually, the performances I've seen from Arche live at Nippon show improvements in his clean vocals (Hageshisa and Un Deux).

Devonshire Pee I think since the released of DSS they became way more famous overseas.
I've red a lot of about them on the internet and i saw that they had a lot of new fans in the metal scene. i'm very proud of them so i think that if they go back to wacken they will be waited :D

I'm not a die hard fan of Dir En Grey and, I'm not talking about the quality here, but it perfectly matched with the studio version to be fair.
He was struggling a bit it the near end though.
+Linkin Benjamin No, as a DeG fan to the max, Kyo's intonation was a bit shaky in this performance. He could sing the notes, and didn't falter out of key too much, but he was flat on some parts

The sound is absolutely terrible this entire concert. I honestly dont think kyo could hear himself because there were some parts where he was out of key. when i saw em they were fucking phenomenal and fucking KILLED this song!

Yeah, he is usually very good, but didn't hit a single note on this one. He probably didn't hear himself or the other musicians well. These things happen.

when he performed at the memorial show he must have only then started using his high scream, that's why it sounded so bad, he didn't even start doing gutterals at that time...

@CthuluHasChannel It's Toshiya's custom model ESP. It isn't advertised on the ESP Japan site, but that is the make of it. I've seen scans of it from Japanese magazines, so I think it's in production? I know his thunderbird-style bass is available for purchase, but as far as this one being for sale I haven't heard. It's the same thing as the bass player's from Dragon Ash, but this one has 5 strings. I'm a budding ESP buff :p

@Goodnamechosen At my point of view definively is singing very well, pretty well indeed, besides I'd preffer a lot the live performance of them than the albums, I don't know why, but they sounds pretty much... mmmm gay, j-pop, call it how you want but they had a great performance at this WOA if you ask me.

@Goodnamechosen it was only this performance, which was bad already becaused the staff screwed up (as seen in other songs). the day after (in Utrecht) he was way better, almost perfect. so this was just a bad day for him, he also apologized for it

Correct, it can be quite difficult sometimes making such a sound. Take Travis Ryan for an example. He’s an absolute beast with gutturals as well. So yeah when it comes to growling. This is something Kyo is very brilliant at

@davi00nz0r You came here just to leave that shitty comment? One thing you should know is that these guys were yelling and glaring at the staff the entire time because the technicians sucked like hell. Some of the horrible sounds are because of that.
Why don't you try looking up "dir en grey-different sense" and see how they really sound.
