I am an SDA psychologist. I will start by saying that society, in general, isn't aware of the pervasiveness of complex trauma and PTSD This is true inside the SDA church as well. Programs like this, and The Voice of Prophecy's mindfit are helping bring the impact of trauma into our awareness. All this said, I'd like to add just a little more. It's essential for us to understand how our generational and personal history shapes our emotional being. Too often this history creates chronic levels of debilitating anxiety. Chronic anxiety can result in avoidance methods for coping. Addictive involvements are an example of avoidance coping. The avoidance coping and chronic anxiety block our ability to mindfully observe how we react to our vulnerabilities. All this combines to create maladaptive patterns in our lives that set us up for more trauma. If anyone relates to what I have said here, please don't be afraid or ashamed to reach out for help. Real change is available.

I am 34 years old, and I am struggling with trauma, and I don't know how to set boundaries and commit to them. I feel overwhelmed so many times. I turn to things outside of God that is not healthy for a Christian and I feel out of place, and I disappoint God so many times and I can't help it.
Hello friend, We will pray for you. Philippians 4:13 tells us “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” There isn’t anything we can’t overcome with Christ working in our lives. Keep your focus on growing in Christ and walking with Him daily, hourly, moment by moment. Remember the promise of John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

I get it, please reach out to a professional Christian counselor who specializes in trauma therapy. Know that God loves you right now, as you are, and will guide you to the healing you need. He has for me, 61 years old, clean and sober from drugs alcohol 37 years by His grace, and He later healed me of my sexual addictions…God is good! Call New Life Live ministries if you have difficulty finding a Christian counselor…and listen to their daily program…you’ll be amazed. Peace to you!

I retired 3 months ago and only get Social Security. I live in a conversion van, by choice. I'm blessed to park at the home of friends and pay minimal rent. I'm paying off a remaining credit card bill. I get minimal food stamps and utilize local food banks if needed. It can be done if you don't expect to live like maybe you were used to before 🤷♀️ Minimalism and God's provision are getting me through, and i totally recommend retirement. 😁🙌🙏

18:35. The answer is *he who endures to the end will be saved. Jesus has repeated that to me many times to tell my husband everytime he says he says he cant retire.
God provides it all.
Today i told Him God provides the strength of an Ox so my husband keeps working, even with recent Parkinson's stage 2. Has even provided a PD EXPERT Dr for us! Its also diet changing ive been praying for! Our God is amazing and has been chamging us daily!!
Wednesday i fell on my face & we prayed on our knees. 24 hours later i got this program!!!! He is always forgiving me and answering my prayers. ❤❤❤
