- Due to an overwhelming number of requests to paint a coral reef I have finally managed to find the time. I know I've said I only use my own photos as reference but I have been snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef so this is done from memory ;-)

How absolutely lovely. Thank you so much!
You are welcome!
Exquisite! Loved watching every single minute!
Glad you enjoyed it!
C'est magnifique ! 👏👏👏
Merci beaucoup!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Stunning 😍 wishing I had some granulating paints so I could try doing similar 😊
Thank you! Schmincke sell their supergranulating paints in sets of 5 x 5ml tubes at a reasonable price I think, I only have the Deep Sea set and the Desert set but there's a lot that can be done with just those ten colours. The Derwent graphitint is also fairly well priced and you should be able to find them on line?
@@ArtistPhil58 oh thank you 😊 I’ll have a look on Amazon and Jackson’s 👍
I think they're great fun to use in the right context but I stay away from doing skies with them. In this painting the manganese blue and the cerulean produced some serious granulating but I really liked it because we're underwater.
🤯
This was fairly easy, it's mostly just blue.
What is the blue stuff that's already on the page in the top right corner of the water. It looks like u used wax or something cos it repels the water
Hi, it's Pebeo masking fluid (there are other brands), you can find it plenty of places online or possibly in your local art store. As you say it protects the paper and then you just peel it off when you want to paint the protected bits.
Thank you for replying after one of your older videos 💞
