Es uno de los videos mas hermosos que he visto. Debes estar orgullosa de haber hecho un maravillosos instrumento y por supuesto de haberlo tocado! Felicitaciones. Muchas bendiciones y espero que hayas hecho más violines!
Mr. Draper if you watched the video all the way through you'll know exactly who played the piece (very well might I add). She's a very talented violinist and obviously a master woodsman lol (I saw papa helping).. beautiful piece. Looks as if you're already doing great things with it.
Rebecca,, I am sorry that You Tube allows me to give you only one Thumb Up, would like to give a hundred. Totally beautiful. And I love that you thanked your parents in the credits. I started playing violin 61 years ago and have started rounding up tools and materials to make my first violin. Your video is inspirational and I thank you for posting. Please, where can I get the plate tuning software that you mention? Many thanks and best regards,Fred
Well done Rebecca! I've watched this before, but just came across it again. Miss seeing you guys. What are your plans for next year? Say 'hi' to your mom and dad!
Apart from the use of a few modern tools, I think that this art has not changed much since the old masters built their legendary instruments. Very impressive!
Tobore Yalaju search for the violin maker Davide Sora from Cremona. He provides excellent step by step videos that you will profit from even as a beginner. He is a true master and a perfectionist. But never mind. It helped me tremendously with my first instrument. He provides english info in the description. Give it a try. It is truely rewarding.
I watch this with deep respect Iam. trying to play this heavenly instruments for more than 47 years and when i watch your video i found out that you dont make this instrument only with your hands but allso with your soul , words are not enough to thank you ,and share this with us , Iam a great admirer from Nicola Pagannini , but when ia'm playing the forrelle quinted from Shubert i feel like iam in heaven
I would like to see a video exclusively showing how the top and back are carved to the correct depth and thickness. No one seems to show that. Did you used aged maple and beach and from old growth?
if I had the time and patience and right tools to build one my self I would. I like wood work but I would fear I would mess up in the process of building it. guess I should have built one in school when I was taking wood work..
I am thinking, something along the line of equalizer analysis, for the sound that is made when the wood is tapped at various points, as for specifically what is desired i don't know, but there is a website that goes into great detail about it if you want to filter through the information. www.platetuning.org/
Very nice video, but the violinist butchered this piece to the degree that I needed to turn off the volume. Who is that on the recording? This concerto is much too difficult for their level of technique...
It is the same person who created the instrument, you asshole. She made the violin and proceeded to play this beautiful music on it. If you finished watching the video after you muted it, you'd know.
glued in labels :/ why bother graduating the things at all in the first place if yr just going to glue in a damper off to one side of the sound chamber?? use pencil to sign it, or just use a bit of formed plywood instead
@@BrianTimmonsTX i dare say they, lacking the precise measurements of modern science, didnt know what the fuck they were doing, and that you are romanticising inferior instruments in favour of supreme musical talent. ideological bias confirmed.
Really very good job! The violin is well maked. Congratulations!!

This is absolutely divine. What blessed folks, clearly hardworking and reaping the success from it! Thank you all for building and sharing.

Stunning there’s just something about watching art made
I wish everyone poured their heart and soul into their work like you do. God bless you.
You must be so proud to have made such a beautiful instrument. And you play so good too!!!🤗🤗
Really great to see that beauty in your own soul and your aspirations. Thank you.
A wonderful video. It's great to see more female makers coming into the industry.
!The violin looks gorgeous
Beautiful piece!
Very nice video. My daughter liked this video a lot. She's playing violin as well.
Beutiful! everything was beautiful :) Congrats.
Great finish, nicely done.

Love you F holes 5:57. Has a very Art Deco look--Amazing!
Well done Rebecca! I've watched this before, but just came across it again. Miss seeing you guys. What are your plans for next year? Say 'hi' to your mom and dad!
Good. The violin looks gorgeous. At last , the concert stage is Cleveland Institute of Music ..right?
1Loved it! thank you

Mike Horto
Cara membuatnya sederhana tapi hasilnya luar biasa👍
WONDER WOMAN!!!
Stradivari!!
Where can I learn to make violins in the UK ? So beautiful.

Beautiful.
Fiddle sounds fantastic, very grainy!
Jealous, impressed, inspired. That is a long journey.
One day....
I wish I could play hard pieces like Sibelius Violin concerto :)

Sibelius Violin Concerto
How many days takes to make one voilin
Все четко)))) могёте умеете)))👍👍👍👍
how did you go about tuning the plates? any links to the information you used and applied. thanks.
love and respect sweet lady
Nice job. Out of all the violin making videos so far.. no one uses a router???
Yeah I feel like a template cutting bit would make the process go so much faster.
Too easy to destroy the wood with a router. It doesn’t take that much longer to do it by hand.
Wow.
5:14 ok thats why
if I had the time and patience and right tools to build one my self I would. I like wood work but I would fear I would mess up in the process of building it.
guess I should have built one in school when I was taking wood work..
could you or anyone please share what application you use on the computer for tapping test?
that just looked like audacity to me, its free, but what they do with it i don't know.
appreciate~~~ i am thinking.... how do we measure "tone" or "timbre" so as to compare between builds.

How long you work on violin?
may I know how much for your violin?
Wear anti cut glove on your left hand. I nearly lost a finger. Thought it couldn’t happen to me,!!!
Link to this piece!?
Ohad Gev Sibelius Violin Concerto.
What is that oval on the top?
Probably a patch repair, she must have gone too far when chiselling down the plate's thickness, i.e. cracked through creating a massive whole.
시벨리우스 왜케 어렵게 연주하시지ㅋㅋㅋ
Is it being played out of tune at the end or is the violin out of tune? Either way beautiful instrument.
would be amazing if you played on the violin you make
i liked this.... and im a hater... now make an electric one haha! ;P
Very nice video, but the violinist butchered this piece to the degree that I needed to turn off the volume. Who is that on the recording? This concerto is much too difficult for their level of technique...
Look at the end of this video.
what the fuck are you talking about? She nailed it. You wouldn't know you are tone deaf.
Thanks Don for this crass and bitchy post. Well done. Hope it made you feel important.
If you're going to make statement like this, then back them up. How was this performance 'butchered'?
It is the same person who created the instrument, you asshole. She made the violin and proceeded to play this beautiful music on it. If you finished watching the video after you muted it, you'd know.
I'm looking for my Jewish Princess good musician and a luthier I've got the tools and we can make Violins together .
Да ну нафиг...
Another video where you don't learn why they do the things they do.
Awful performance of the third movement of Sibelius' Violin Concerto but very insightful video
glued in labels :/ why bother graduating the things at all in the first place if yr just going to glue in a damper off to one side of the sound chamber??
use pencil to sign it, or just use a bit of formed plywood instead
Stradivari, Guarneri, Amati, among others labeled their work in the same way, and I dare say they knew what they were doing.
