Chasing goats on green grass on a sunny day. And babies on the way!!! Life is good. Love the Sunday video!!!!
I used to keep a few goats and they were always a source of entertainment.
We noticed when introducing/repatriateing a goat to the herd the boss goat rarely got in to ahead banging session but would send their second in command in to sort things out. They only got involved if it looked like their deputy was loosing. I always had headache after watching them sort out the pecking order and would need a paracetamol sandwich before any more work got done.
Fun little Sunday video thank you very much for it Tom. Big shout out to the calf club the vet tech and Katie. Everyone have a great week ahead. Happy happy cows. Be well be you
Hard for me to like goats. Out here in outback Queensland they are just a pest- along with feral camels, pigs, donkeys, foxes and one or two others. They browse the shrubs exposing the grass to the elements which doesn't help at all. We could send you a couple of spare camels though, worth it just to see your Dad's reaction!
I did not know about feral goats in Australia. I knew of so many more introduced animals but not goats.
Too much kidding around on your farm at times 😂😂 great video , fun n goats are so funny and loveable 👍
Tom, goat milk and meat is a huge opportunity for you to think about expanding into, you could sell it in the farm shop and it will shift. As for the video give the girls and Luke a camera more to get their view on the farm and Sam's a natural and could really highlight what the farm does for animal health. Really enjoyed todays slot of fun :D
Absolutely! Look up Zion Creek Farm here, their goats are fantastic milkers. Tom might get some great ideas from there. 😊
Have you thought about removing those bushes from the goat fence so that the goats can be seen by the cars driving by? It would be a great way to entice more people to come in and visit the farm shop.
Good morning Tom and farmers from Syracuse,Indiana.USA !!!!
Fantastic video great to see all the animals looking so happy
great sunday video! the veterinary ones are always a hit for me.
Nice little video of the goats definitely enjoyed it
Old tyres half buried vertically make excellent goat enrichment, if placed in a line goats can jump from the top of one to another.
Train the goats to wear collars for moving. Still a workout but much easier and less backbreaking. Ours used to be taken to local fundays for pettin zoos, got some weird looks walkin a goat along a city street but the goats loved it. Doesn't take them long to get used to a collar, just needs to be a good few inches wide and made of strong material, ours were leather
Our goats always wore collars. We had dog collars in bright colors
Goat 🐐
Ohvyes! Worked at a petting zoo, we used to take the goats walking and people loved to meet them ❤
Stars in your eyes goat section.
Its so funny when youre chasing your animals😂 3kids coming how exciting👏👏
Always great to have a Sunday video! There is nothing cuter than baby goats! Looking forward to that.
The goats and the calves are so freaking cute to watch!
Love ya work Tom, best dairying show on RUclips.
Would like to most respectfully offer some advice when carrying the goats. When you carrying them Always hold those sharp horns firmly as l know a farmer who lost an eye when a goat threw its head back. They can cause big damage.
Sorry to say and not trying to tell you how to suck eggs but I am just thinking of you and the staffs welfare.
Again great show
Great timing on the release of this video! Was the perfect way to calm down after the end of CDawgVA's cyclathon.
Great goat video. I'm watching this at 10pm, and it's a lovely end to Sunday. Thanks, Tom.
That bldg will be OK . can you get those plastic strips we use for doors they (the goats) can go in and out but weather stays out. Good news 3 little ones coming. Love the calf club, a good check on the calves.
Fabulous🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 kids coming soon!!
Goat kids are so much fun too watch. They do like to escape from any space they can squeeze through. Extra Fencing and blocking edges around gates.
We had a chatoloiscow and a south Devon bull. The calves out of her were always 60+kgs born. We made hrart money of ther calf just from the grass
Great Sunday show Tom! Congratulations on the impending arrival of the new kids.
You need to speak to a scaffold firm and see if they will either lend you the bits to make a play gym for the goats and you do a bit of advertising for them or if they will sell you the bits
Hi great video hope you are well and the kids dad is going to be OK,
Oh Tom, they are so funny 😂 ❤
Morning team Tom
Great video Tom, love it when you’re laughing and relaxing, obviously that can’t be all the time but love it for a Sunday video 👏🏻👍🏻🍻
good morning.
next time you want to catch the goats, contact your local rugby team. there is no better training to catch a quick winger than catching running goats.
12:28 great content again goats are happy
Great video Tom
Hi Tom, the Goats are so funny, always fun doing Goat videos.
That vet plan seems brilliant value for money Tom!
Old bunk beds ...with a little rules slide... Chuck some ply wood on the beds leave the top half open .. Bloody love then
1 hour up its 5;45 am in florida usa and already. 5,776 views ame going up wow!!
Lovely set up 🐐
Awww I'm excited for you about the upcoming kids! I wonder if dalscone farm can help you with goat playground ideas. They know both the farm and spectator side of things.
You and The Heidi’s must be proud goat parents, congratulations. SUGGESTION: use the spare concrete channel and panels and make a goat gym.
A beautiful Sunday video, thank you Tom. I love Goats.
Morning Tom
A goat 🐐 palace 😂😂
Logs on end sunk into the Ground Goat Heaven
Good stuff
Thanks for the Sunday video!
Question: How can a vet service be that cheap (low money)? High qualified people like that should be well paid and still they can visit 4-5 times per month for 30 Pounds? Or did I understand wrong?
Fun video, thanks ;)
Enjoyed
Have a Ring around your Local Scaffolding company's one of them might build you a Goat tree if you let them put some signage up on it ( Eg Scaffold sponsored Goats )
Great attention to detail on the calf rearing keep up the good work 👏🏻
We are visiting from Northern Ireland in June! Can't wait to see all the animals
Beautiful goats, yeah 3 more! Cute little cows. Enjoy the animals and new life on the farm. Love and prayers 😇💜
Hi from Canada Tom . No the shed won't really work in the winter or rainy weather. Metal transfer's cold and heat to the inside of a small building and it can get pretty bad at times. I lived British Columbia Canada for over 30 years - which is a like where you are and had beef cattle chicken's - ducks - geese - turkey's, peacocks - guinea fowl - pig's and goats. We had dwarf goats and standard large ones - alpine - mancha and ( saanen ? big white one's) the weather was just like the stuff you got there and 1 of the doe's dropped 2 kids and both died ( dwarf) 2 days later 1 of the alpine does had 3 and lost 2 and the last one only lasted 24 hours and it died .we had it in the house with hot water bottle and electric blanket and it didn't work. So use a concrete slab and a wooden building and the plastic strips for the door - but use 2 set's of door strips 4-6 inches apart for weather proofing and have 2 door's ; one for people and one goat size. Also add a small room for feed & hay storage. Make it bigger than what's there now, twice the size or more end to end. Also put in a feed trough with a key hole ( head size holes) wall in front of the trough; to keep the food clean and not contaminated with fecal droppings , parasites and what nots. There's more to keeping goats, then just sticking in a paddock with a tin shed and saying well that's - that, l' m done now. Nope now goats or human kids need to play and they love to jump up on top of things and climb over stuff so a small childs play area would work out just fine. Wishing you all the best. Love to you from Canada.
Can’t believe Tom
You said the most naughtiest and scariest word
I’m shocked 😮 lol
You said the word Concrete
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
great stuff
Get a calf hutch/igloo for the goats, dig a few holes and put tractor tyres in them standing up and fill it back in so half the tyre in the ground.
How is Heidi doing with her vet studies Tom, has she finished yet? Heidi will be excited that her goats are in kid. ❤❤❤
Morning Tom, your field, which has a large amount of water, little ponds, I have an idea to get rid of excess water dig a hole in the low point then place a sump pump with a very long hose to the ditch and drain the service water out so it has a quicker chance of drying out...
Don't forget to dig a hole to bury any surplus soil you have left over from your first hole.
You can get hoses south a drill part that starts the water thru the hoses and drain the water out of paddock w/o tractor tearing up the ground bit would help to dry out ground faster. Anything to get out in fields as early as possible
Great video.😅😅
Concrete block house is the only thing they won't destroy or eat
👀Haha that Calf has your “Highland Logo” on his forehead! 🤣 Great video Tom!
Good news for the goats... I thought they had a scaffolding climbing frame to play on..?
Passed your shop yesterday, unfortunately thnaks to accident on the M62 whuch meant we were late getting to where we were going we didn't have time to call in!
Great video as per usual. Would be interesting to learn more about the calf testing that you do with the calf club and how you use the information gleaned from the testing.
If you are going to keep the goats and kids in that space, is there small square wire part of the fencing? Otherwise you are going to have kids all over the place! They are going to go thru that slat fence
Good morning Tom
❤ the goats!
Cute 😮
Goats, like chasing shadows.
Yep, kids on the way!!!😂
Soooooooo cute ❤❤❤❤
Good morning
hi tom and the girls, you are only 31 im 63 love your videos.
Thanks for the video Tom.
It’s another sunny Sunday morning already?
Goats❤❤❤❤
How's your back, Tom? Take care of yourself.
Great news on the goats, well if this doesn't show just how much Tom cares about his animals I don't know what does. Many, many moons ago when delivering the Royal Mail in the wilds of Hampshire, a farmer was telling me that someone had just parked his car in his yard, with a note saying, of on holiday will see you when I get back. The farmer had no idea who it was, so duly surrounded the car with fencing then chucked a couple of goats in, not pigmy's like yours but the big ones. Anyway on the day before the two weeks was up the farmer took down the fencing and put the goats back from whence they came. Well they had totally destroyed this Mercedes SL soft top, when the person came back he was so upset he called the Police, well the local Bobby turned up on his motorbike and stood there and just laughed out loud. The moral of the story being, of course don't upset a farmer. If anyone asks, the goats were fine and lived to a ripe old age.👍
Man, that shed is (Knackered)? I think a better build is in order. Thanks for the after-church vid.
🇨🇦morning
Good video tom the wether in Ireland 🇮🇪 and England has bin very bad we only have 2 cattle out at the moment
Best video ever, love your work sir
Hi Tom, if it's any consolation, it's hot and dry here in Thailand, I'm running out of water for the garden! Rainwater tanks nearly empty, well level too low, town water supply intermittent!
Goat's, are you Kidddding!
Talk me through that weigh tape!! I like it. How accurate is it? Where do I get one?
We used a pig arc when we had a couple of goats.
I had a goat that if bred in mornin 150days later in mornin kids.
Fun
my birthday is on the 18th i hope one is born then Tom 😊
Goat milk shakes in the Vending Machine 😊
how accurate is the masure around the calf to the actual whight of the calf, i know doing masure around the calf is faster for busy farmer but theres gotta be some inaccuracy
Tom you should put a hard hat on a join the Billy goat in the scrap 😅
Can you get SKY on that monitor 😊😊😊😊
... Could you make a climbing frame out of pallets?? Just a thought
Questions what kind of tap is she using as I thought weight a Scale.
Goats can be fun. A wooden shed is better than a metal house. Note that male goats get very potent if a female goes into heat. He pees on his beard and strong aroma. My Granny never kept a billy. She would walk the nanny down the lane to meet the male there.
How accurate is the weight tape?
Have toget luke out running too😂
Are we on our way to full goat herd and then Pembertons Ginger Goats Cheese?
Large tree logs orange pacifically or on this side whatever the jump all over them😂
Marked the date in my phone Tom. We’ll see how accurate that is.
