The little star candle holder pot would be great for an orchid!
I love thrifting- I'm also a sucker for glass ware- and plants so I LIVE for these videos. I am obsessed with calathea, I actually have 8 varieties now, and you pass over them so fast, I have to pause the video and soak them all in haha. I spied some amethyst carnival pyrex plates in one of the goodwills, and purple corning dishes too! Lots of cute stuff at your thrift stores!

I fell in love with and killed a tiger fern within weeks early on in my plant journey 💔 they basically need a self watering pot and built in vacuum! They shed soooooo much 🪴 Of course, wishing you a far happier outcome and a gorgeous Tiger Fern ☺

The fern is so unique with the veining! If the 2 terracotta pots aren’t sealed with a glaze, they can be used even without a drainage hole.

I look forward to a fern care in the future. No matter how often I water mine all get crispy tips. They brown before they wilt so idk what to do. At this point the only ones I have left are rabbit foot and asparagus. As far as the thrift haul I want the starry candle holder. It’s the perfect cover pot!!!!

I use acetone to remove rocks such as the ones in the H planter. Works great.
I love watching your hauls and thrift store finds. I got a mahajarani on clearance for $15 . He ended up having a chorm inh÷ planter , now I have 2! I'm loving the alocasia at the moment. After last year all my alocasias multiplied like crazy!

I was out with my sister on Wednesday and we went to a mall where I found the sweetest little plant shop! I got a wish list plant. A blue star fern in a 4" pot for $10! I ask one of the girls if I could live there and she said I could but I would have to pay rent! lol My sister was impressed with my knowledge of plant names. lol

Great video and haul. I have one of those multi-pots I also got from thrifting. Mine is ceramic. I keep it on my patio table it has all different tradescantia in it. It's one of my favorite finds! I would love to find a concrete one though! Happy planting🪴💚
Your the reason why when I go into thrift stores I look for things for houseplants. It amazing what you can find. I'd love to show you a prop box I found last weekend. Imagine a large pitcher that has a lid completely sealed with a cover. I use it for my larger specimens. If I wanted to place a full lived plant in the container I totally could. That was the best $4.00 I spent in regards to houseplant thrifting! If it weren't for your videos I wouldn't have thought out of the box !

My experience with ferns, particularly ones like that, is that they want high light (not sun) and will grow big and flourish in those conditions. They are mostly outdoor plants, and love the light and humidity.

Hi Ashley - That was a great thrifting. Lots of great choices I would of certainly got the dark globe. Loved twig & fig too. so lush in there. TY for showing the calatheas. I would totally scoop up any variegated fern. Ferns really are pretty easy care in the SE US. Haven't even got through the whole video yet and had to let you know how good.
Oh get that terrarium! I was gong to ask if you might revise some places from last year like the frog man?

The Tiger fern is actually really easy! I got one from my favorite nursery and that and my crocodile fern are the only ones still alive. I think it helps that I have yet to repot either of them…
The Tiger fern can handle pretty bright light. I had it right under my grow light in my special plants corner (where the humidifier is 😂)

I got a smaller queen Kimberly fern and I think she got too dry….Is there any tils/tricks to getting it revived…. It’s still in the nursery pot maybe I should switch that out too idk
Love the strawberry pot you got. I have one and have tried to keep strawberries and other plants alive in it outdoors but was never very successful. I think it’s because the middle pot does not have a drain hole, but neither do the bottom pots. I would be interested to know how you will use yours and if you drill holes. Maybe I’ll try mine again with indoor plants. By the way, I almost took it to Goodwill!

Hi Ashley. If you are interested in learning more about thrifting check out this channel.... Texas Gal Treasures on RUclips. What a beautiful fern. I use ferns outdoors in the summer but not indoors because they tend to be so messy. I don't like self watering pots in most cases ( except they are great for propagating cuttings), but I think a fern like that might do well in one. I might also set it in a large tray with stones and some water in it to add humidity and also to catch some of the mess.
