    🌺Gm Dom, every time I see your smiling face it just blesses my 💜 heart. Your doing such a wonderful job in your gardens, and what a blessing it is to see your kids are a part of all you do. Wonderful family affair and learning life skill. May God continue His hands on you all!

    Nice corn! Send some rain my way, Sylacauga AL. It has rained twice all month, totaling less than a half inch. I am harvesting a lot of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash, and green onions. Grand Marshall and Thornburn's Terra-Cotta have been my most productive, Dad's Sunset and Sun Gold are the best tasting. My Sugarv Baby watermelon are doing well, but the Hearts of Gold cantaloupe are producing fantastically. My chicken coop is set up in the back of the garden, and ready for the chicks, five hens, thre Rhode Island Red, and two Speckled Susssex. I am in the process of covering the larger chicken run. They will be going outside in a few days. Any armyworms, or hornworms will be food for chickens. And... they will be adding nutriets to my compost.

    Try frying it. Fry some bacon save the grease. Cut corn off cobb run knife up n down it to get the milk out of cobb. Heat a skillet add grease get hot add corn. Let it burn just a lil bit scrap n turn over. Salt pepper yummy. Oh use a cast iron. Its delicious. Hi from ky. My granny use to make fried corn for us.

    I'm so excited for your corn harvest, but I'm also confused about why you would grow something that your family doesn't eat...?

    • @faithfamilyhomestead
      @faithfamilyhomestead  Месяц назад +1

      Because I've found things that they don't like in the grocery store they like when I grow it... perfect example is blueberries. None of my family likes blueberries, but I have 8 bushes that the kids devoured straight off the vines
