- Two manufacturers with deep roots in stage rally history… being used for a drag race? Believe it. Turns out that light weight, big power, and AWD are a great recipe for straight line speed, especially on an un-prepped surface. @@TopiAS06 No need, go check the Hoonigan road trip to Las Vegas that RS3 would destroy this Evo straight gap it and it still has full interior and street wheels. 1300Bhp and a turbo the width of a large pizza. Also this guy came in here full try hard mode with track car and slicks vs a street car with stage 3 or so.

@Snails40 Look under the hood of the new Silverado or Sierra with the 3.0l duramax it has a freaking oil pump belt that needs to changed at 150k which involves separating the engine and trans.....so it’s not just German cars

Y’all have to hold your hands in the air longer when doing an arm drop. Ready them, arms up, hold, then drop. It’s hard to tell if someone is jumping if you’re moving so quickly. Otherwise these were some great heads up races 💪💪

He shifted better than most of the Honda boys I've seen.
Shifting an evo at full throttle isn’t easy. It takes a lot of practice and commitment and it’s easy to make a mistake. But when u get it right it’s really satisfying.

If the Audi was completely gutted with 2 Kirkey's AND had drag-slicks, I think it would be a LOT closer race...
There was an approximate 500 lbs difference between the two, but I think that even if the Audi lost about 300 lbs, it would probably win or be a lot closer of a race than it already was.

@@danzifer Put the RS3 on drag tires and the RS3 probably wins. You can see the RS3 doesn't leave as hard as the Evo because of the tire setup.

It would probably be much closer without those tires, but they are DOT legal street tires. Made just legal by the manufacturer to comply with legal minimums

Dope episode, love the RS3, and the Evo is clearly a very well put together machine. I think the fat slicks on all four corners, and Hert's flagging were the deciding factors in this' victory. It seemed to me like the Evo may have jumped in the first run, and definitely jumped in the third. Hert's arm drop routine was strange, to me anyways. Typically when i see arm drop style races, the flagger puts one arm up to signify that lane is ready, then the other arm for the other lane, and after both arms have been raised in the air for however long the flagger feels necessary, he drops them to start the race. Hert just went up and down super quick. I'm surprised no one else is mentioning this. Maybe I'm trippin...
Shoulda let the Audi get the hit, just to see how close it would end up being.
Honestly Round 2 was pretty dam close and it was less of a jump than evo did round 1 and 3. I know they make portable drag trees why doesn't hoonigan have one lol

It didn’t look like they ever had a clean start, the Audi started a little earlier on one race and the evo started earlier every other race. I think it would be a lot closer if they had the started at the exact same time on every race, as hard as that is.
