This Longines from 1970 was an interesting project. First of all it was pretty clean inside, I could find a little bit of dried oil but pretty much there was no oil in it. And also a crucial part was missing, the jewel to the balance wheel. This is why the ticking was so uneven. When the watch was finished restoring it turned out to be in very good condition. Not that much of wear could be seen in it. I guess it hasn't been used that much. Thank you for watching, take care!
so amazing the history circle and square watches of the past tells us and can find out many things and what might have happened to them inside from what's cleaned up
Impressive work. Your patience makes me calm. Love the tools and your scetch for explaining the procedure. Got some pulse while grinding the glass. Nice when finished. 👍
Hallå Hans :), thank you very much Hans for checking in my new video. Great that you liked the sketch, it's a bit tricky to explain. Hehe yeah the glas can be a nervous moment. Thank you Hans, see you later here or at az :) Gott nytt år!
subscribed!!! you are like my favorite channel now. you gotta start shooting in 4K so we can see the shape of the dirt you remove!! 🤣 i'm sitting here with my bedtime snack, Greek blueberry yogurt, scoop of protein powder and on the side, sunflower seeds watching this; it's like an episode of Mission Impossible! 😥🤯😜you have one of the most unique skillsets i've ever seen. i mean, fuk, is there any watch you don't know how to disassemble, clean, restore (repair) and reassemble? 🤔😱😉 please keep making these videos, PLEASE!!!!! 🙏👍 k
Haha I'm very glad that you like my videos, sounds like a real movie night :D I will keep on, hope you will like it! Have a good evening, gonna take some protein powder now myself haha.
Excellent video. But first you tapped the barrel bridge and made the hole small. Then you filed the hole gently so that the arbor will fit exactly. Am I right? Good technique rather than changing the barrel bridge which may not be available.
Hello Swaminathan. You are exactly right. You want it to be to small so when you expand it with this type of plain "cutter" (don't know English word for it) there's a plain wall in the hole and the arbor fits perfectly. Thank you for taking your time to watch the video!
Hi Ben, nice to see you here. I use from 420, 400, 800 to 1000, then polish. Indeed, this is not Benzene, it's called Bensin i swedish and its gasoline or lighter fluid (chemical clean one). Thank you Ben, have a good day to you!
@@Watcheyes I see , it is gasoline not benzene . you used 4 kinds of sand paper to polish the glass . Does sand paper can be used on acrylic ? I am very happy you gave me a reply , thanks ! @@benmak3283 Yes those ordinary sand pappers can be used on the acrylic glas, this was a acrylic glas in the video. I understand you very well, I didn't notice anything about your language. I'm not that smooth at English either :). Take care, stay safe! See you later.
Hello Fraser and welcome to my channel :). Very glad that you liked it, thank you. I use a Sony A7s with sigma 70 mm macro, non macro is done with 16-50 mm sony. See you later.
Hello Gatujo. I came over it pretty cheap all complete so I changed everything. Was a bit uncertain that the original barrel that said something like (cant remember now) "do not open". But I think you can change the spring in the original barrel also. But it was the same price for me so I changed it all. See you.
Can you restore an Seiko 6138b 0020? Tokei Zara it's a especial edition, I have one but I don't wanna go to any especially watch restoration. I want to make my self
Hej! 😀
Hallå där, ja men vad skoj att du kikar in! Yes, jag insåg det när jag var där, jag fick ta det väldigt försiktigt =D. Men tack för tipset iaf! Vi ses.
