I've been wanting to fish this lake for awhile. Fortunately, despite an algae bloom, fishing was pretty decent once I found a pattern.
I caught 7 largemouth bass fishing a Berkley Money Badger crankbait. The biggest was 3lbs 6oz.
It was a good day. I'll definitely be going back.
Thanks for watching!!!
Mike

Thanks for posting. Awesome info. I need to head out there this summer.
You're welcome and thanks! Good luck if you go!
Nice.. How was the road to get there? Back in the day it was like a wash board…
Road is not too bad. There's some washboard but most vehicles could handle it, I think. However, I read today that the road just closed due to a wildfire. Plus they're gonna drop the water level 13ft over the next couple weeks.
The commentary added in after is brilliant. That’s needed more in RUclips videos
Also we gotta get you some baits
Thanks for saying that! I was super-nervous about what some might think but the response has been overwhelmingly positive. I'll have to consider doing it more often.
@@phatpakbaitsBaits? You know someone who can hook me up? Lol😂😂😂
I enjoyed the commentary! I’ve haven’t tried horseshoe yet
Thanks for that! I was nervous about this one. Def outside my comfort zone.
That was fun! I haven't been there in years. This makes me want to try it again...
Thanks! You totally should. It's a really unique lake.
I was thinking about buying myself a kayak and I wanted to know what type of kayak do you use?
Hi there! This is my kayak: ruclips.net/video/T-wAttUnnn0/видео.htmlsi=Xf4EGZRywYIFNb7t
@@flipflopfishingAZ I appreciate it thanks for the idea.
Me personally, I’d keep the location of this lake hidden. It’s a Great fishing Lake for a reason, because no one goes there.
I hear what you're saying but this lake is no secret and plenty of folks fish there. Gary Senft has done videos on this lake and has a way bigger audience than me. People don't go here cuz it's remote, the road sucks, the boat ramp sucks, the parking sucks, & the bank fishing sucks. Fishing is horribly inconsistent due to the constant water level changes. Plus Bartlett is right next door with better access all around. Most folks prefer easy. Alamo, Apache, & Roosevelt are all better fisheries than Horseshoe imho.
shit ton of carp in that lake
@@SouthWestNative18 Yeah, there were carp everywhere. Can hardly cast without disturbing a bunch.
True 🤫
Kayak Fishing HORSESHOE LAKE, AZ For The First Time like a pro
@@buttdreads Someone's gotta do it! 😆 🤣 😂
Funny. After the last video I considered suggesting horseshoe since it has been really productive lately. But then I thought maybe I'd keep it to myself lol. Not that I didn't want to share it with you, just no the entire comment section.
Hah! That's funny. What other suggestions you got? =) Gonna hit Alamo & Parker Strip asap. Never been to either.
