Thanks for the info! I don’t know if they serve ribs but there are a few nice pubs in Ribchester and is a nice area for a long weekend if it’s too far for a day trip 🙂
I grew up in Ribchester in the 1970's, Our family lived at number 16 church street right across the road from the White bull, i remember being quite freaked out every time i saw that wooden white bull above the pub, i used to be scared of it. my idiot older brother cycled his push bike down near the river, fell off and smacked his face on a rock, broke his collar bone and fell unconscious into the river, lucky for him there were some archaeological divers in the river who witnessed his fall and dragged him out, I have a funny memory of my mum making my brother stand at the front door, rather than come in and get blood on her carpet so he stood there with a broken collar bone and a broken nose , covered in blood and crying waiting for the ambulance. Beautiful little village with a mass of Roman history. My Dad was digging the back garden to plant potatoes and he found some roman oysters shells in the dirt, he took them to the museum and they put them on show.
My family hails from Ribchester. Lovely small town.
Nice heritage to have! We love it 😊
Ribchester is 9h4min from London by train. If they were serving good ribs in Ribchester, I would give it a go!Thank you for sharing♡

My 8 times great grandfather found the Roman Helmet On the banks of the river ribble 6 foot deep Joseph Walton
That’s amazing 😊👍🏼 Just been reading up on him… all the way back in 1796
the art gallery is my grandads and the farm is my uncles
Must be nice to have links like that to such a historical place 👍
