No, I think a tennis ball is too heavy. We tried a regular little-league baseball and it could not throw it very far. A tennis ball also won't go very far.
Great question -- Now that I have a baseball speed gun (ruclips.net/video/JabrKQuMlB8/видео.html), I can actually measure it! BUT because the balls are super lightweight, they slow down a LOT as they go thru the air. Coming out of the machine, it's probably 35MPH, but if you go far enough away, the speed drops to nearly zero. So depending where you stand, you can get anything from about a few MPH to about 30MPH .
That's difficult to measure because the ball slows down a lot as it goes thru the air. It hurts quite a lot to hit by a ball right out of the machine, but after 30-35 ft, it's almost ready to drop out of the sky. So you can pick the best speed for your child based on the distance from the machine. You can change the angle of the machine to get the ball in the strike zone.
I tried a few other balls and they didn't work. It's not strong enough to throw a tennis ball (too heavy and it doesn't fit right). It's only made for the plastic balls it comes with, really.
No, they pretty much designed this thing to only work with the hollow plastic balls it comes with. I tried either a baseball or tennis ball (I forget which) and it just jammed inside. Plus the motor is not strong enough to throw a tennis ball.
Just bought one for my daughter based on your review. Thanks!!
Thanks! We're STILL on the original batteries, even though we've been using it for a year.
You can glue a a tile or sub floor on the bottom to make it more stable...how much are these machines ?
That's a great idea. Check the Amazon link here for the price (it varies daily): amzn.to/2I1BLkT -- As of today, it's about $30.
standard wiffle balls work? or just the balls it comes with?
Based on what I've read elsewhere, it's designed only to work with Franklin plastic balls. They can be purchased extra, however.
Can u use tennis ball? Not table tennis but this yellow 🎾

Is this machine work with i-10 ball (hard rubber ball)
I am a 5'7" adult. Would this work for me or would I need another model?
Yep, the launch angle is adjustable over a wide range.
Has anyone tinkered with it to increase timing between launches?
Good question. I haven't tried that, but I'm sure I could figure it out.
If you work it out, please share!
5 second intervals just too short for kids to assess last swing and reset for the next.
you spelled Review wrong in the videos title
That's why i have more than one child. One kid learns to pitch while the other learns to hit.
Facts but I'm getting it so I can also Field instead of pitching
does it work with real baseballs?
does it come with batteries?
Good question... But no, it doesn't.
What is it's speed

I was just hitting with my freinds with that thing and boy when I hit that thing it curved more than anything almost 90 degrees
I got one for me to play like i used to but I'm 15-75 against a machine 🤦
how about tennis ball?

I bought it recently and I'm dissatisfied with the mechanism... Not worth
