My Periodic Shelf (table) of Elements collection, tungsten, gallium, uranium, etc.
Here's most of my collection of the periodic table of elements, but on a shelf instead of a table! It was a really neat collection and a really cool shelf! Well, I had to sell it at the end of 2022 in order to move across the country, so now it's in the hands of a fascinated young man.
A few notable elements in the collection:
- Bismuth crystals
- Uranium powder for pottery glazes
- Graphene (single-atom thick carbon) and Buckminsterfullerene (C-60 allotrope)
- Large tungsten rod
- Lanthanide series of 5g and 10g samples (1kg of Gadolinium, too)
- Lithium and Sodium metal in oil. Note Lithium FLOATS on top of OIL it's so light!!
- Osmium and Iridium, Rhodium.
- Neon and Argon lamps made by GE in...

You can use a GeerFab Audio D.BOB (Digital BreakOut Box). It extracts DSD64 and PCM up to 24/192 from the HDMI data stream from a universal player/transport with HDMI out. It then outputs DSD64 via the DoP (DSD over PCM) protocol and hi-res PCM up to 24/192 through the S/PDIF Coax and Toslink Optical outputs to an external device.

Best thing you can do it go down to the local cigar shop and ask if they have any empty boxes, then find the best size that fits the PCB! They have more empty boxes every day, so if you don't get a good fit the first time, try another day! I had a shop that gave me boxes for free. They're like garbage, but some shops charge for them.

I recently bought one of your Mini VUMP pedals and I went through this calibration process. It was interesting but I find that at either 1 or .775 volts it's not particularly useful for guitar, full strums are hitting around -16 and much of the time it's too low to register. I understand that for most applications (i.e., balancing output across pedals) the actual level is arbitrary, but I'm wondering if you had a suggestion. Probably that's whatever it was set at when I got it, but I didn't think to make note of that.

Any thoughts on if a 10 string or harp guitar is "worth" it for someone getting into extended rnage guitars but with no hands on experience. The price triples for the extra 2 (to 10 extra) strings. It seems like Agile or Cathedral are the few "accessible" brands. Thanks!

OLD IS NOT BAD!! It's an incredible individual oscillator Rodgers 75 organ from 1972. With decent external speakers and amps this organ sounds beautiful. I've been a guitar player since 1978 and an organ player since 1996. I've built many guitar amps so I know the passion for projects. Unfortunately guitar players slobber all over vintage guitar gear, but readily call vintage organs "outdated" or "antiquated". Go ahead and listen to some old organ albums with these great organs. It's the exact same organs that are being destroyed because people have been convinced if it's not a Hammond tone wheel organ or a Lowrey DSO-1, well then there is just no use for it. The old, " I had it listed for months and nobody wanted it" routine. Well then keep it as furniture for 10 years when all the great organs are extinct. Then someone will want it. Better yet, learn how to play. It's easy to get the organ bug. Listen to organ albums for about 3-4 weeks. More varieties of organ music than any other instrument, so you'll find what you like. *The Organ Jukebox" ytb ch, and I have many organ playlists myself. Listen to Eddie Baxter Lowrey Organ albums. He's playing a full console Lowrey H25R-1 and H25R-2 model through Leslie Isomonic and Space Generator cabinets See Captain foldback site Leslie 102 and 103. You can read about 'Isomonic Channels' in the Leslie 101 owners/ service manual on Captain foldback site. The 101 cabinet was designed for the 1961 Gulbransen Rialto K ( now that's an organ! and it wasn't even that big). That Rodgers with an external Leslie makes a great theater organ. Oh well, what are you gonna do...there is a very sweet 1966 Custom Rodgers 3 manual on E b ay this week for 5OO. 2 Rodgers speakers and 1-2 Leslie cabs It's amazing!! Unfortunately it's all the way out in Carson City Nevada and I'm in Ohio. Want to hear a great 1982 Rodgers Theater organ? watch ytb vid- *Rodgers 321C Theater Organ Demo*

In some pictures it has a level control on the bottom right of the pedal, in some it doesn't, is that an option? can the level control add level? or just attenuate? This is exactly the pedal I've been looking for if it can transparently add the voltage difference between a single coil and a humbucker with a meter so I don't have to use my ears to guess signal strength. Also, just an idea, but a button to knock down an active pickup into the passive range would be very useful., this pedal is an obvious asset to any working guitarist needing to switch up guitars quickly and not have to adjust all their effects, this is a godsend.

came across this since my moto g7 power is also swollen a bit more than yours, BUT the link is to a different model battery than mine so i had to look for a jk50 battery, which i have on the way. since i use the phone as a wired webcam essentially on a tri-pod since even the cheap-o phones tend to be better camera's than expensive webcams, but i also kept it plugged in the whole time and noticed it a few weeks ago and just now got around to looking into a replacement. also, i'm SUPER paranoid of batteries... car and jumper pack sized batteries are the main one's.. seen some crap happen with those in person and explode so i get VERY paranoid when i see sparks, like when you first cut into the battery my GF and i both jumped and my instinct was to rip it out your hands and huck it across the pavement lol.

They are designed to be used with their own cables connecting them together plus a digital interconnect between them and an additional digital from the master to the source. Their intended user really is with one of their processors such as a G68 or 568 and these come with a variety of inputs of the analog and digital variety. The speakers can be setup in a variety of ways (bass, treble, height, position) but it’s more easily controlled in a processor. The processor has a lot more functionality though needs a laptop and Meridians setup software to get the most out of it. $1000 is an absolute bargain for these as the technology employed delivers audio technically better than everyone else (Digital crossovers, digital volume controls and all processing performed digitally)and just starting to be copied by other manufacturers some 30 years later. They will need a recap and the tweeters will need replacing as the ferrofluid dries out. They can be filled manually though it’s a pain.

Many tape masters of essential and classic albums are archived by recording them in DSD, the high-resolution format used in SACD’s. There are plenty of SACD’s of essential recordings for many different genres of music. SACD’s are still and currently being released of essential classic albums, notably: Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab and Analogue Productions are doing this. Currently, you can buy a Sony UBP-X800M2 (~$300) and hook it to a D.BOB ($1,000) made by GeerFab Audio and hook it up to any DAC of your choice, that will take a DoP64 (DSD over PCM) signal via its SPD/IF inputs, and you will get clear and great sound quality. I have a SACD collection, and it is still growing. I definitely prefer SACD over CD’s and vinyl. I embrace and own all of the formats, but SACD is my preference and I do notice the difference in sound quality granting the source master is of good quality, just like with any other music media. Of course, SACDs are for the people that pursue great sound quality and of course it is a small market, but if SACDs continue to be released, I will still be buying them.

You probably already figured this out, but the tape player won't energize until you turn the lever on the right to one side or the other. The turntable you have to lift the tone arm and push it a little bit to the record before it turns on I believe.
