Sounds like Aussie Soap Supplies need to take a deeper look into their fragrance making! It’s put me off buying any of theirs! X
I've been in contact with them this week, and although they won't say it out loud, I think they know there are issues. All the descriptions have been changes on the site and there are lots of excuses about the oils. Definitely won't be buying anymore even when they sort the "issues" out.

Man, I would have probably just stopped and walked away, but you pulled it off superbly!! While you were looking at the top deciding what to do, I have seen other soapers do piping after the soap was cut. I have not tried it, but may be another alternative. And thanks for the commercial acknowledgement. Sometimes I have left videos (not yours) because of the amount of commercials, like every 2 minutes. Thank you for being aware of it!!!
I'm too stubborn to give up and be defeated 😆😆 I thought about piping but decided if the fragrance is going to fade, I'm not spending more to still sell for less 😔
I know what you mean by ads every 2mins. There are a few channels I have stopped watching because of it. I'm hoping by only having one mid-roll I keep YT and watchers happy 😊

Did you ever contact the company and let them know your results? It turned out much better than I expected. I too was thinking it would have air pockets but you handled it well and it turned out nice.
Something big happened this week which has resulted in me being contacted by the supplier. They have all my notes on the fragrances and they've left some excuses as to the poor performance of the FO on my coconut cream soap. Basically these FO were not ready to be released as far I'm concerned.

Oh my! Yet another one. When you were finished getting the batter into the mold, I thought.... a hanger isn't going through that. But, I am surprised and happy for you it turned out as well as it did. Although, I hate it when scents fade or disappear. I am in agreement with you, someone who tests those fragrances, needs to educate their selves on all terms of batter phases and soaping terms. So expensively misleading. Thanks for sharing. This is the last of the naughty ones 😁 it's certainly been very stressful. I've now been talks with them and there are a lot of issues which they are trying to work through.
Wow! That is absolutely insane. This is the crankiest I have ever seen you, and honestly, I don't blame you. This is pretty ridiculous. But like I said, I really like how this looks. It's very pretty.
I was so cross as I even tested the fragrance and it moved quicker than the tester and I think that was the mica. It seems to accelerate when you stop stirring. I'm keen to see your soap with this one.

Yes, in my experience too, the white with td is always the first to accelerate/seize. That was so weird how it stayed the most fluid of all your colors.
It's been the same with most of the fragrances. It just doesn't make sense 🤔

I had a soap do this exact thing a couple weeks ago with a Crafter's Choice fragrance. I had been frustrated because I was having so many acceleration issues with other FOs from them that I decided to only add it to my main color and it went FAST. My other colors were still fluid, so when I did pour them in and attempt a chopstick swirl they filled the holes. It ended up being one of my favorite soaps that I've made lately and the FO is lovely. So crazy!
Take a look at their test recipe. They use almost all liquid oils to test
I love doing drop swirls with different textures of soaps. It gives such amazing results. 🧼
Hi Lianne, yes it is quite high in liquid oils but FO should work in more types of recipes. I've been in talks with them and they've now got my recipe to try too.

Honestly keeley the inside is really pretty like I said before your the soap whisperer because when I have a fragrance that does that it looks awful inside and out lol . I think I would find another supplier for fragrance after the troubles they have been giving you. I know it’s very frustrating when they do that. I think it turned out really great, don't be so hard on yourself. It reminds me of those candles that get poured into waxed cardboard tubes and have that dry waxy finish. Really cool that you accidentally managed it in soap! Plus it has a cool marble quartz effect too! Also, those baby mangos!! Adorable!

I got 11 fragrances when they first released them. I feel I have to use them as even if I was in the sell groups, no one is going to buy them 😔 I i do have one video where it behaves very well - better than other companies with similar fragrance.
Good on you for being so persistent and getting it into the mould. I would have just tossed it all out. I'd love to see A.S.S do some videos showing how they work with these fragrances in CP soap considering many people are struggling with the behaviour of their fragrances.

It's so strange that the FO react to mica and not TD. I think they only test in uncoloured soap. 🤔

Naughty soap indeed! I think the company you got the fragrance oil from should stop selling it. I'm glad you'll be able to get back some of your investment in the ingredients by putting this soap on clearance but my opinion is at the very least that company owes you a refund. You are right it will still clean and you have nice colors in there. I feel bad criticizing the soap when it wasn't the soap's fault. It was that company's fault for putting out an unstable product. Your imbeds are really cute especially the mango, (that's how I cut mine too). Take care and stay safe Keeley. You are right - from messages I've had with the company this week, they should be recalling and stop selling these but instead they're releasing more. Basically they've admitted and updated the website to say you shouldn't water discount and have also left comments on my coconut cream video blaming the manufacturer 😏

I share your exasperation. I've also had FO's react with individual micas with unpredictable results - including one where the TD stayed fluid while the other colours went through various levels of seizing. You just want to rip your hair out, right? But you got a decent soap out of it, even though it fought you every step of the way. So well done.

I have seen a couple soapers put powdered sugar in their batches to slow down trace on some fragrances. Don't know if you have tried it. Agree, that it is freaky that the white didn't seize first.
I've not heard of that one. Although I have the odd naughty one, for the most part, my recipe behaves well 🧼 it's come out from the supplier that their FO don't work on Water discounts. So even using 35% causes issues.

Thank you for sharing ! You are so brave. I know where NOT to buy fragrances. It is obvious that whoever is testing the fragrances has no idea what’s truly going on. It is not water discounts that are causing the problems because I’ve heard the same comments from others who are using full water or using Aloe Vera juice. 🥺

You are a creative artist! You always astound me with your great work! It doesn't matter with the outlook, the gist is that, it's a good soap…ultra friendly and moisturising to our skin! I've only ever had two soaps that were a write off and that was because I used poly80 instead of castor oil. But generally as long as it turns into soap, it's never a true failure 🧼
@@SoyandShea You are correct, I agree with you, TOTALLY…as long as it's soap, it's never a failure. Guess what, sometimes your soaps are so beautiful, especially with those tiny imbeds that I don't think I'll use it if I buy, because it has become a piece of fine art, meant for keep and to be appreciated! I knew too, how painstakingly challenging, how much patience needed to make those tiny embeds! Therefore, if I were to buy your soaps, I won't use them, but keep them!

Oh my gosh Keeley, this is the fastest seize I have ever seen in soaping. How you ever managed to get soap that looks so nice from it, I am amazed. Well done, excellent job. And yes, ASS are such a pain and whoever it is that is doing their testing needs a good hard kick in the pants, because they are certainly not soap with WD in the 'average' range that most soaper here in Aus use. I am so over their info on how their fragrances react, I have stopped buying any fragrances from them. Your soap may have given you a really hard time, but gosh, it looks lovely now. Keep up the great work. :)

I've now had chats with David at ASS and there are many issues which is up to them to publicly address. I'm still not very happy and very wary.
I am curious, do they list the recipe they use to test their fragrances? If so are they using predominantley liquid oils? There is a company in the US that does that and as far as I am concerned it misrepresents the true nature of the fragrance oils. It is really strange that the one color, namely the white, stayed fluid when its the one that should have been rock hard. Still, with all the problems you had with this one, it turned out nicely, it took on a marble look.
If nothing else you can score the oranges and viola! Pumpkins 😁 I’d be VERY upset with Aussie Soap.
I did think about that as I have a pumpkin soap to make but instead found a lovely orange fragrance instead 🍊
their website says they test with full water in olive oil coconut oil segregated palm oil castor oil and cocoa butter for the mandarin mango scent
They keep changing their website and the descriptions. I've gone back to my original unboxing video to compare original notes to current ones. 😔 they've only just updated to say full water because of something that happened this week. Basically these FO don't work with water discounts plus other issues
Soap looks great. Aussie Soap Supplies seriously needs to look at there product.s and how there not performing properly. I know a couple of people finding the same thing so can’t be anything your doing..

I used this fragrance a couple of weeks ago and it did the same to me, when i contacted them they basically blamed me for using a water discount and showed me photos of it behaving beautifully, so i remade a sample batch using full water, no micas or TD and it did the same, when i contacted them again i did not get a reply. i also had issues with their Cherry Bomb and Green Apple fragrances, i have 2 more to use and am reluctant to try them ( Birchwood and Black currant ) love your videos xx

I've been in talks with them. I've also pointed out we don't go direct to suppliers with issues because of the whole blaming the customer and not taking us seriously. There are a lot of issues which is up to them to discuss. For me, Black Currant behaved in my tester, I'm yet to use in a bigger soap.
@@SoyandShea i used the Black Currant yesterday and it behaved well for me, i dont like the Mandarin fragrance at all it smells a bit like medicine LOL it has faded a little after 6 weeks but i wont use it again in bombs or anything in fact i poured it down the sink.
Hopefully they get them right i love some Brambleberry fragrances and am hoping someone else will import them soon it is not cost effective for me to buy them direct postage is a killer x
@@boppa1956 I'm pleased to hear the black current behaved well. I think it smells like grape Bubblegum though 😆 I was trying to think which medicine the Mango Mandarin smelled like but just can't think.
After being in talks with ASS, I don't know exactly what's happening but there won't be any authorised resellers of Brambleberry FO. I think its a watch this space 🤔
It's didn't turn out, so bad. I would use it. It's too bad that that FO, was so hard to work with. It sounds like it would smell very nice.

How bizarre is that! I got some really weird ads on a video the other day. Left me wondering who had been googling what on my computer 😆 hopefully the 30min ads are shippable ones 🤔
How did you go getting the ASS recipe they used to test their new fragrances?
I still don't know what the actual recipe is but I've since found out its the same as the pouches they sell.

I think Aussie soap supplies over charge for their fragrance oils and they're not even any good. Eroma is better and cheaper!
Yes they're definitely expensive for the quality but not if they performed well. I don't mind paying for the US ones as they work well in soap🧼
You mentioned that you still had some of these FOs left from this company...I’ll buy them off of you. Or if you want to try again, I may have a solution for you based on my success with a whiter than white ‘whip cream topping’ with no seizing or glycerin rivers. After you add your lye solution to your oils/butters, do NOT stick blend! If you look at your video, your batter is at a medium trace when you pour for your colors. Instead, grab a whisk and just mix your lye solution and oils together...you don’t even need emulsion. Make sure you have your color containers at the ready (without color) and then quickly pour your amounts out. Then add your dispersed colors and FO and give each a stir with a spatula to blend everything together. Then grab your mold and have it at the ready. Using your current design, grab the main color and give it a couple of quick 5 second bursts with your stick blender as you stir...you don’t want trace, just emulsion. Then pour what you want. Move to your colors...do the same, but don’t do more than just the blend on an off since you smaller amounts. The TD may need a tiny bit more, but less is more. Then pour your colors, the main batter, the rest of the colors and then grab you hanger and swirl. If you think your batter is too loose for a proper swirl, then use a whisk to stir your batter. But you don’t want to dawdle once you hit trace...it’s like rolling a ball down a slide. Another consideration is to not add the FO to your accent colors...they will absorb the scent from your main batter. Let me know what you want to do.
The fragrances I've got left are well behaving ones and I've used two of them now. When the fragrance is added, this goes liquid thin but as soon as you stop stirring they accelerate which is why it was at thick trace when I started to pour. By the time I went to put a hanger this was set solid. The company is claiming water discounts as one of the issues.

@@xmaseveholly1266 its actually caused a bit of upset. People who haven't got the same social reach have been brushed off whereas they reached out to me. Our Aussie suppliers don't follow or treat us Aussie youtubers likes the US ones do. They'd never think to use us as cheap marketing for their latest releases. The company actually said on the coconut video that they don't have time to follow creators on social media. Its a pretty silly attitude to have really
