I have a pretty significant Fps drop with the bing maps. 4090 and i9-13900….
One thing I’ve noticed filming is that there’s a LOT more data with the new maps. I’m assuming the maps in the sim are optimized (lower resolution) for performance, whereas these are just full size normal map images. So that could be a factor, particularly depending on your settings and where you fly.

Same I get frame drops aswell with the new Bing maps
In Twich live Development update today an hour ago from Asobo , they says that HANS are working on update bugs and art development on the ATR and hope to release a new update this year on october at least.. i understand that.. so Hurra!! and there's going to be a F2crew PO officer of the ATR that's will come with all procedures and flows with the voice of Magnar among others.. so long life to ATR 72 600!!

I saw another video you had on getting the latest bing maps but new to all of this, how do I know if it did download and install the latest bing map are there any instructions for the whole process just finding the app and installing it was a mission, any help on checking what map is playing would be great and I had a crash after ending the flight not sure if it stopped or not.thanks
Bought Asobo's attention to the updated bing maps during the dev livestream, and they did say that they have the updates all planned for MSFS2024, exciting stuff ahead

Have you managed to confirm whether the map replacement tool includes water masking? As an island sim pilot, I was thinking it would be important to you? I think not and stopped using the tool but it might have changed?
Actually i think Asobo broke something with landing physics, there's an instability once the wheels touch the ground no matter what aircraft you use. Probably be beneficial if community shares their experiences.
Now that you mention it I think you’re correct. Crosswind landings are crazy right now.
The various developers needs to update their models with the new physic engine. To date only the iniBuilds A320 neo have it.

If one wheel touches down a fraction before the other (i.e. the wings aren't completely level), tyre friction will cause the plane to be dragged off the centre line. That's why you'll often see the nose swinging away from the centre before the nose wheel hits the ground. Using the rudder to correct this is the the way to go, especially for crosswind correction.
Yeah, the ATR is prone to do this on crosswinds. I have had success when I anticipate the crosswind effect and apply aileron and rudder at the right time, like 5 seconds after touchdown. These crosswinds in San Juan are not the norm. They happen in the summer when winds shift to the SE.
Yeah I’ve been quicker on the ailerons on touchdown and it’s helped. I’m just so used to MSFS and not being able to use aileron correction on the ground.

Hey there!! Small question for you, I juste figured out that my internet connexion speed is about 16mbs, fo you think that if I upgrade that to 100mbs it will improve my sim perfs significantly?

Not sure what happened but the bing maps app broke my sim leading to a full reinstall. Never had any issues until i downloaded it, any idea what i did wrong? worked great for 1 flight then nonstop crashing
I'm very storry to hear that, Andrew, that's the last thing I want to see happen. Did you stop the app from running before you closed it after using it?
@IslandSimPilot no worries! I dont see anyone else with this issue so I'm sure I did something wrong lol thinking about it I don't remember if I stopped the app from running before closing, also when I poked into my folders entire content folder was somehow deleted including official folder.
