First impression..the husband seems to be faking innocence.
I know exactly what this woman felt. I have been there and while she may have tried to take her own life, the incident in the bathtub proves that her husband wanted a new start with the _other_ woman.
I think so too. This religion is all about the men and their womenfolk must be modest and obedient. Remember it was polygamist from the start
Not a single person in this seems to be living in reality.

That’s religion for you…
The way I chuckled reading this comment!!
I agree. It's mass insanity which by the way, is epidemic in America.
Finding a person you believe to be dead, or dying, and you call a friend before calling 911 ? Guilty
And he said he was “scared” to call 911. Scared?? More like guilty.
He was a dr…have you ever been in that situation? Didn’t think so.
@@bv2745 my mother has actually, and she sure as hell didn’t call a friend she called an ambulance… as most people would!

That was very strange
You do not put a person on a bed to perform CPR. You learn that when learning CPR you need to put person on floor or a hard surface

And had he called 911 they would have told him that.
No kidding! Cmon it’s so hard to pick up “dead weight “ and it’s illogical.

It got worse though huh. Sooo weird
If she was contemplating suicide and writing about it in the journals, why wasn't she getting psychiatric help?
The locked door, the fact that he didn’t call 911, and what he said to her daughter…he did it. I don’t understand why he re-married her when he was so in love with someone else. Didn’t want to pay child support? This case has so many crazy people in it, it is hard to know who to believe. And it doesn’t help when the cops lose so much evidence, and don’t process the scene properly.
the cops very likely were mormon as was his attorney, probably the judge as well - the use of influence among the mormons is very real
The fine line between religion and insanity.
Absolutely true. And sometimes there is no fine line in between: some religious expressions ARE insanity.
Religion is insanity.
It's the politics of spirituality; hence anathema to actual spirituality.
All Religion is a mechanical of control.

Hardly...it's all from man himself, hence flawed

Not such fine a line here. The woman was bat sh*t crazy.
Mormonism is just a club the real God is not involved.
When they say God spoke to them it is not Him... It is the opposite

100 %
And your statement is REAL 💯 👍
How do you agree someone killed a woman, but only agree on manslaughter? 12 people with zero legal knowledge deciding guilt or innocence is so bizarre. It comes down to which attorney is a better SALESMAN.
This is why any attorney will tell you a jury trial is a crapshoot. Sometimes the jury is just as messed up as the people involved. There was one trial where one woke woman refused to convict a guy, who by DNA and a load of other evidence was clearly guilty, because in her words, "she refused to send another young black man to jail." The other 11 jurors all agreed he was guilty and the 12 woke woman also said she felt he was guilty but would not be the person to send him to jail. I want to say the guy was a rapist or murderer. It was on one of these crime shows. Very disturbing.
lol you’d rather leave it only to those that study law?
@@alexyapropes2436 I we would be better with blind juries that don’t sit through trials and only look at the evidence. You would have no idea who your perp is and no idea who the victim is. Justice should be blind. When you sit through a trial it truly comes down to which attorney put in the hours and was more ready for trial. Understand that most of the prosecutors in big cities see the case a day or so before the trial as they are overwhelmed. Some see it as they open the folder while standing at court. It’s the legal newbie’s back at the office that prepare the brief outline in the folder. Sad but it’s reality.
All you need is one juror who doesn’t want to be on the jury and doesn’t pay attention
Terrible system. And very primitive, as this was 2024 B.C.
I don't know how many other people are aware of what is commonly believed about when an older man dates/marries a much younger woman, but typically its believed that since they have very little in common, or the same interests, or can have the same conversations, etc, the 2 main benefits for the man are of course that she is youthful & attractive, but more importantly, that a younger woman is much easier to manipulate & control. With that in mind, I find it very interesting that when he claims that he called 911, he says something to the effect of , "I know I called, with the very core of my being," & when his young wife talked about her faith that he wouldn't go to prison, she used the exact same language & phrasing, & combined with her statements that she is in "awe of him," that is exactly the sort of power dynamic an older man would love. She'll do what he wants, even deferring to him on most things, & using the same language is called mirroring, & like the word we draw it from, mirror, the idea is that victims may mirror the behavior of the other person, or you can use it in something like a police interview to make the suspect more comfortable, or many of those gross "seduction experts" in the Manosphere apply it to dating. Its a subtle way to trick the other person's brain into a "natural" sense of connection.
"Accidental" drownings in bathtubs to me are always highly unlikely and suspicious

I don't want to get into crazy territory but we are seeing people having to pay fines for 1.5 Billion in 'liable' cases that are brought to court a decade after they happen... These are fines massive companies don't even see for causing cancer just because they do not like the person.
Meanwhile you have people who steal and get charged multiple times a week and they walk. What is happening to the court system?
Its a mockery and sham lately because of peoples 'Feelings'. Laws have nothing to do with feelings.
To these people its fine because its someone else, someone they don't like. They have empathy for what they believe in and nothing else.
Those CROCODILE TEARS though...
For real!
My wife was his next door neighbor through middle and high school. He gave her the creeps more times than she can count. Especially after he volunteered for a youth camping trip. I guess he was trying way too hard to impress all these younger girls to like him in the creepiest ways imaginable. My father in law actually went to his house and told him not to ever approach, talk to or even look at his girls.
The sister calling Doug a family man. She’s a nosy piece of work.
These Mormons certainly do get around, even with God as their leader.
Why didn't he just marry the both of them? Isn't that allowed in the Mormon world? Both these women seem like they wouldn't of minded sharing him!
You don’t watch a lot of true crime do you? This happens everywhere in and outside of churches. That’s what true crime has taught me. People who make bad decisions lead to more bad decisions regardless of their religious affiliations or lack thereof.
@@admirallilyonly difference is the churchgoers say God approved of it.
@@jenna-a-gogo nope not allowed. They are not flds. Just lds. 2 different religions.
@-greentoad not actually, the only reason why the Lds don't practice polygamy is because it was outlawed, they would not be able to be a part of the United States, however it is still believed and part of the religion. Fundamentals are actually practicing the true religion.
Is it me or does the sister seem like she never liked faylene. She act so fake??????
Creep! At first glance, all the alarms go off!
The "other woman" said of Faylene, "She filled voids in my life when I needed it." Well, Faylene's husband sure did. ☺️
Guy has malarkey look about him
Hahaha yep!!
💀💀💀😂
That's an actor right?
Hiliary also should have been charged. In the very least they both knew what she was planning and didnt stop her nor get her help.
she's proud to say that this is what she wants and she was a best friend f*
He may have fooled some people but his fake crying, his lying, and the things he did showed he's a real slimebamm.
Plus the person who prescribed a refill yet wanted to be called before it was filled. How about order refill after the call. That's so reckless, especially for someone who's trusted with other people's lives
A man is thrown in jail when jurors admit there is no evidence he committed a crime? Our society is truly upside down.
Why is a doctor writing prescriptions he doesnt want filled without a phone call? Charge his a** too.
