yet another example of why sexual predators should NEVER be released. four young women would still be alive.
you'd think after this many years, the law would get it by now
@@lichiehrbThey still don't. The sentence for s. assault is way too short, and they almost always reoffend. If we're lucky, they don't graduate to become serial killers.
I agree. They need to stop letting sexual predators out of prison. Sexual predators always repeat when they are released. Sometimes their crimes escalate like this predator who killed them.
@@zxy78267This. And so few of them even serve time for SA. Only 25 out of 1,000 perpetrators will do any jail time if I remember right. It’s disgusting. The world has basically normalized SA.
@@IllHandleThis There's a video I saw on TikTok where a woman is in a conference room with well over 100 people. She asks everyone who knows someone, or has been a victim of SA to stand up. Then she asks everyone whose case was prosecuted to stay standing. All but a very small few stay standing. Then she asks everyone whose case was prosecuted to stay standing. Only one person stays standing. Her voice breaks at the end. It's really sad. I'll post the link below. Hopefully, it won't be removed.
In a self defense class we were told NO SECOND LOCATION. If he stabs you in the parking lot for not getting in the car, you have a better chance of survival than if you get in that truck.
And hopefully a far better chance of having the offender caught, because there will be trace evidence in a public place
Yes! I'm not blaming these poor girls at all - the monster/monsters that killed them has all the blame. But it's important to educate young people (boys too) about basic situational awareness, not letting yourself be moved to a secondary location, and what to do if you think something is wrong. Also, when I was in grade school I remember my mom letting me and my brother each choose a "code name" that she said her or my dad would give to anyone that they sent to pick us up (like from school), so if a random person or even neighbor told us "your parents told me to pick you up" we could ask for the code name. Looking back, I'm impressed how she was able to do it in a way that made us understand it was important without making us really scared.
@@missk8tiethat is such a good idea! I literally just had a talk with my 7 yr old about that. I told him I will never send anyone you don't know to get you. Now I'm going to talk to him again and let him choose a code name. ❤ Your Mom is very intelligent woman.
The movies perpetuate the myth that if you get in the car, your life will somehow be spared. Remember, he's not taking you to an ice cream social.

A predator will aways be a predator so I'll never understand why they get released
The scary thing is for all the child predators who are locked up, there's probably that many more out roaming free.
I find it so ironic that these people have no problem killing others but yet don't want the death penalty for themselves
It's bc they know what's waiting for them on the other side. "It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." Hebrews 10:31
the irony of hypocrisy 🤦♀😁
They know how the system works and they will do anything, to avoid what they deserve.
I'm telling you these criminals know how much the legal system looks out for their welfare vs. the victims of their crime. Just insane.
I agree. Its like being pro abortion yet the pro abortionist is alive and living their life!!
Such cowardice, and they would even have time to prepare to meet their makers.
Offenders like Reece should never be let out of prison.
Too late for that 😢
Agreed!!! I don't understand how he was out in our society!! I also think that sexual offenders should have their privates removed!!!
Didn't we learn since Jessica Lundsford's case?
The words "paroled" and "molester" or "killer: should never be combined.
Absolutely not! And typical of these psychopaths, the only thing they value most is their own life. Obviously, the capital punishment will not be carried out... I hope he has a long agony in prison.
That girl who jumped out of a car on the highway did something courageous and amazing! She not only saved her own life, but also so many others!

@@jamiew.6606exactly!! Look at the Dru Sjodin case as textbook “don’t go to the second location, no matter what” 🥺
"Why would you want your daughter's killer caught?" Erin, that's about the most asinine, dumbest, most insensitive, horrible, ridiculous question you've ever ask a mother
I wonder if he was referring to the fact that since they had no viable leads, they had no authority? I don't know. That comment seems cruel, and I can't fathom a callous response.
I literally yelled out "what the F*CK kind of dumba** question was that!!!?" at my phone.
Erin. That fool.
Sounds like they were just setting her up for the next line that was said. A soundbite. I wouldn't think it's as malicious as you're implying it is. Erin has children herself.... You'd be surprised how many times they ask you to repeat something, or feed you questions worded a specific way to elicit a certain answer, during TV interviews like this.
😂😂😂😂😂
The fact that police say things like “you should consider yourself lucky we’re even working on this case.” Is disgusting! If a family member says it’s suspicious that the person they are looking for is missing, believe them and look for them! Even if it turns out they left on their own, you should still care about them!
Exactly ‼️
💯
They should consider themselves lucky
Hey Irish girl. You in Cork ?????
And with all of the we support the police signs I see nowadays on people's front lawns. 😩
I don’t believe for a minute those girl ever yelled at him or came at him. He was a predator and probably in every instance HE initiated contact with them to force them into his car. What a disgusting excuse for a human being. Even though he wove ridiculous lies around what happened to them, it was a gift that he was convicted and will rot in jail until he meets his maker.
I was thinking that exact thing. Women, particularly those alone, are especially wary of men.
It's so bizarre that he thinks he can "justify" his horrific actions by blaming the victims. He thinks it lessens what he did because ALL of these young women supposedly argued with him? It's just a profound shame he was ever released from prison the first time.
I just made the same comment!! There is NO WAY they instigated anything. I’m a strong willed and strong in general woman and I would never mouth off to a man I didn’t know. This evil evil monster was definitely utterly demented.
He was hoping that other males would side with him… especially the male cops.
@@sunshine3914I think he was getting off on faking the confessions, thinking he’s the smartest guy in the room. The truth is that when charged due to the victims who survived, his MO was clear and he never confessed.
The saddest part of the story is the fact that he never should have been released from prison in 1996?!!!! 😢😢😢
We release monsters and our USA justice system knows it. That's the sad part of it.
The fact that Reeces mom knew her son was convicted for harming women, then asks Tiffany’s mom to help him is disgusting. These families need to stop cloaking criminal family members!!!

A significant part of the reason why people are sent to prison is because they are a danger to society. Someone sexually assaults two women and they think he won't do it again? This is absurd.
Yep , plus there's no women in prison. He did 10 years.
He was probably thinking about reoffending the whole time.
@@203_Boy plus all they learn is how to become better predators in prison. It's like a long stint at Rapists Are Us Boot Camp

You have to put the judge who released him into jail as well! Go back to law school
Sex offenders have the highest recidivism rates. It makes no sense.
The mother who said "I forgive" is just as valid as the mother who said "I will never forgive". The grief these families endured is unimaginable. May they find peace, knowing their daughters finally received justice.
What kind of justice if that garbage bag gets to live in prison off of tax money that keeps them in there
I pray that I never have to choose between forgiveness and inability to forgive. Heaven help me if I’m in that position and there isn’t a body. The not knowing would just be so much worse, I think.
You cannot forgive anyone that doesn't ask for it. You can walk through life without focusing on anger though.
Why hasn't our system changed since the Jessica Lundsford case? Sociopaths & Kiddie diddlers can't change. We need harsher laws.
💯💯💯 I 100% agree with this our laws need to be harsher not more lenient
On ALL of these crime stories, people feel the same about lenient laws. We pretty much all think the same way about not letting predators out. So what's going wrong??
My theory is there are just so many operating under the radar in official positions that they don't take it seriously. It's so common, there's just SO MANY males out there hurting women, that the denial levels are skyhigh across the board, from law enforcement to judges to all throughout the CJS system. Sure, they might pretend to give a life sentence, but in reality, these males get out on so-called good behavior. They get out of life sentences simply to take another's life.
@@dubaiedge a LOT of said people are in the Masonic brotherhood.

It’s not a “mistake”
My dad always stressed to me and my siblings that if someone tries to take you, you fight and scream and never let them take you to a second location. He said if they're gonna threaten to stab or shoot you its better to have it done where people can help. Amazing dad so happy yall listened
Laura's mother spoke very well.. her empathy towards other victims made me emotional..and that line "forgiveness for me is not to live in a cage of rage"

I can't imagine my sister going on a run, trying to stay healthy, and and she just disappears. I would lose my mind. I feel for these families. Parents shouldn't have to go through this
No parents shouldn't have to go through this. And if they didn't let their daughter go out alone they wouldn't have to. Predators are a fact of life. Acting otherwise is risky and foolish.

All these young girls picked fights with this guy, eh? So in his mind he’s the victim? That is mind blowing. I can’t imagine what their parents went through and continue to go through. I just can’t. 💔
Yup just like DJT is a victim 🙄
All narcissists play the victim. They don't take responsibility, always someone else's fault. True cowards.
He's victim blaming, but that is what society does, especially with sexually motivated crimes.
Sociopaths always blame others for their own deeds 😢
A girl is really going to follow you 30miles in her car just to win an argument? Yeah, right..
His asinine story of each encounter was always the same exact bs. So these young girls going about their business picked fights with you a grown man and somehow each fight escalated to you killing them right then and there. Psychotic. Prayers to all the families.
He probably followed HER those 30 miles (i.e., stalked her, as his intended prey).
Oh he “accidentally” killed her! 🙄
This is why people convicted to sexual assault should NEVER be released from prison! They cannot be reformed and going to prison just teaches then not to leave a witness.
And he still breathing
“Forgiveness was for me to not live in a cage of rage.” I admire her strength and wisdom. I don’t think I could ever handle it the way she has.
No matter what William Reece may claim, he got an additional thrill over the fact that he could continue torturing the families all those years. The fact he was already a convicted sex offender was proof he was always destined to be a serial killer.
And, he also got many thrills "helping" LE locate his victims...and getting to relive his murders by telling (and rewriting) his version.
Sex offenders can never be rehabilitated! Never!

Here’s to the mom explaining what forgiveness is . If only everyone had a mom like that growing up , the world would be such a smarter, kinder , equitable place . I’m sorry for all of their losses : Our losses .
Michael Reece's stories about what happened between the women/girls and him are completely implausible. You can tell he's never actually had a real conversation or friendship with an actual woman, because he seems to think young women would actually start physical fights with a strange man or follow him for 30 miles. He has no idea that we have to spend our entire lives with our guard up.
This is what a lot of people do not understand about forgiveness. It is not for the perp, its for the victims and their families. It frees you from the hate and guilt that will consume your life and the lives around you which can completely destroy lives sometimes more than the crime itself. You will never forget, but forgiveness will lift off some of the weight from your life.
Yes. I think people assume if you forgive someone, you're letting them off the hook. What forgiveness implies is that you will not seek personal vengance, but leave it in the hands of the Judge of all the earth. They aren't "getting away" with anything. Payday someday.

All the young ladies had similar characteristics: all were attractive, all were young, all were brunette. The woman who escaped by jumping from the car used amazing judgment. Why are the journalists questions so stupid? Why was it important to find your daughters killer? Was it frustrating the guy wasn't convicted?
