- Learn how to join with a half double crochet stitch when changing colors in your crochet project. This stitch is also called the "Standing Half Double Crochet".
This technique is great for joining a new color and avoiding the knot that forms on the edge of your work from using a slip stitch and chains.
In this video I show you the traditional way of joining a new color (by using a slip stitch and a chain) and then how to join with a half double crochet so your edge is clean and less bulky.
