Full live race from Fuji Speedway, Japan - Round 2 of Super GT, with English commentary exclusively on Nismo TV, from Sam Collins and Rob Barff. Why is this on a Friday you ask? Good question - it's 'Golden Week' in Japan, so they have lots of holidays and celebrations this week whilst most of the rest of the world is still at work / school, etc. - So hopefully you've got your priorities straight and will join us for an awesome live stream to kick off your Friday! I can't be the only one who thinks that the yellow/blue UpGarage Toyota looks reminiscent of the old AsparaDrink RE Amemiya RX-7s?
And yup, it was Gran Turismo that ignited my interest in Super GT. Big thank you to Nismo TV for giving us these races to watch.
I still prefer the yellow car nissan from the gt games - its a shame its just the red and blue car left in real life now

At first I want to thank you Nismo tv for broadcasting this unbelievable series.Super GT is the best racing series in the world right now easily.Now,I'm about to comment the first race in Okayama and the supposedly jump start of Ronnie.If you take a look at the Wedsport LC500 you'll see that it's accelerating at the same time as the Quintareli's Nismo Motul Autech car.So for me the penalty was absolute nonsense and it destroyed the Red car's race..Now I'm about to watch the Fuji race.Im so excited!!!

Audi LMP1 did 1:24.645 in 2016. Toyota LMP1 did a similar time this year, and I'm pretty sure no dry tires were used the whole race. I didn't see 2016, but the lap time would suggest less than ideal conditions. Porsche qualified in 2015 at 1:22.7. So I'm not sure where these guys are getting their numbers. GT500 is clearly impressive, but not LMP1 speed by some margin.

Also fun fact, one of the other Itacha styled cars was the Honda CRZ, and it was for the Planet Aria Project, Vocaloid IA.
Ronnie did an interview after Okayama saying it was because he was passed the Wedsport Lexus on his right before the start line. Same thing happened to Jenson Button who got a great start but had to back out because he was going to overtake the car ahead prior to the start line, which is not allowed this year.

In regards to the comment about super gt on computer games. Gtr2, runs a a super gt mod for both gt500 and gt300. Currently 2018 liveries been worked on andall seasons to about 2001,done. you can race both classes at the same time over all super gt circuits. Pm me for more details

In today's standards yes. Gt1 isnt around anymore.
So roughly:
Open wheel: F1- indycar- super formula(same level as gp2)-gp3
Prototypes : Lmp1(Dpi)-lmp2-lmp3
Sportscar: Supergt(Dtm since they are merging regulationsin 2019)-gtlm-gt3(gtd)-gt4
there's nascar and v8 supercar but that might be more for touring.
