@@brimariesmiles you need to open up the “Car Setting” app. That will give you a controller that lets you control the factory CD player. It will not auto go to CD because it’s an Android radio so the app has to be opened manually.
When using a usb to play music in a 2017ram. I can play it at good volume around 13. But when switching to Bluetooth audio ,android auto, using app like youtube...I have to have radio set all the way at max at 40 to barely hear it. Is there anyway to fix this? What does amp switch do? I tried surround sound it didn't do much. I have the alpine system ,so I have factory amp selected.
@@Jh3454-df5vm turn factory amp off unless the speakers distort while listening to it. USB will always sound better than Bluetooth due to the way Bluetooth compresses music files. There is in audio gain settings for the different sources. Try adjust the source gains and see if you can get them even.
John, I just installed gen 5 in my 2015 GMC with Bose system. This remedy doesn’t seem to work for me as my application does not have audio settings in the vehicle settings. What do you suggest?

@LinksWellInc there is sound, and it sounds okay. What I meant was on boot up for example, or when I'm on a phone call with the volume at its lowest, the popping is constantly there. You don't hear as much when playing music, especially the more I've messed with the settings to try and make it sound better.

@@shantanureddy8115 so I don’t know what you mean by aftermarket audio system. If you are installing an aftermarket radio you need to get the correct adapter to retain the factory amplifier. If you are adding aftermarket amplifiers you need to locate the factory amplifier and use some sort of Hi-Level adapters to get the factory amp signal to feed into you aftermarket amplifiers.

Max volume on this radio is 40 and with it all the way up and my doors open in the quiet country I can barely hear the music. 😢 so driving down the road sucks barely hearing it and the forbid I roll down a window it's a fail

I just had the linkswell 13.3 installed in my 2014 jeep and I had to go in and reprogram the button functions for what I wanted them to do. After that they seemed to work perfectly.
Strongly considering your radio for my ‘18 Wrangler JL. I’m planning on bypassing the OEM Alpine amp using PAC interface to incorporate aftermarket amps. This includes a T-harness for the big box plug. Compatible?
It is. But our radio has Preamp outputs and a TOSLYNK output. So the PAC interface really is used to make preamps from the factory radio hi level outputs. I really don’t know that it’s necessary for anything outside of a simple way around rewriting past the OEM Amp. But if that what you want to do. Our radio will function basically the same as the factory radio would with that interference

Hello, I recently installed an android radio for a 2013 mustang which has a pioneer amplifier connected with high level inputs and it turns on with the signal from the speakers but since I installed the Android the amplifier does not turn off when I turn off the car, do you have any idea of What could cause that? I am thinking that the radio continues to send a signal even when it is turned off
So we don’t make a system for the 13 Mustang. So I can’t say for sure what is happening because we didn’t build it to know how it is effectively doing amp turn on. It could be the radios CanBus is set wrong. It could be the harness is built wrong. It could be something internal on the radio is messed up and not switching its signal.
Nothing for the new body style GM trucks. GM locked the CanBus and started to use LanBus as well. So there is no tooling are ability for aftermarket companies to get into the trucks system to start reading or writing code :/ so currently we are stuck and moving VERY SLOW trying to figure a way around it.
@@LinksWellInc The installers at Discount Audio & Wheels installed a separate microphone on the upper left hand corner of my windshield. It used to work but it stop working. I move out of state now so I can’t take it back to them. I can hear people but they can’t hear me.

So what about when the stereo thinks the tweeters are front door speakers in ram alpine? The installer s couldn't figure it out, this the fix for that? Front door speakers are virtually non existent but tweeters about to explode at 25
@@LinksWellInc Didnt work, instead of sound from tweeters it then put out no sound at all. installers spliced wires around to change the signal input but just flipped the driver/passenger climate/safety sense. Radio shows driver door open for passenger door and vice versa, and climate controls are now passenger controlled. Primary front sound still coming from tweeters and front door speakers acting like tweeters. This is for Gen 5 unit btw

What I say in the video of reinstalling the factory radio. Flattening the EQ on the factory radio. Then reinstalling the LinksWell Radio.

@@LinksWellInc 100% no factory amp. With loud turned on I can’t turn it past 12 before it starts to distort. I have the lite model.

So any aftermarket amp will work with our radios. We have the same industry standard RCS preouts that will connect to any aftermarket amp.

@@TheLaughlin82 so go to “Car Settings” in there is the factory amp settings. Adjust the volume and gains in there. See if that gets you more volume.

It probably do to the HVAC/CanBus protocol getting changed. Double check you have the right protocol set in the HVAC set up page.

Yes. Chances are this will fix that like I mentioned in the video. When the Alpine system cracks at 20.
