Enjoyed this video! And yes, the first solo trip into the backcountry will always be the most memorable. Glad you overcame your fears and looking forward to more backcountry solo videos!! Cheers, Rob.

What a beautiful trip and so well filmed and narrated. I enjoyed watching it very much. Your first lunch looked delicious - I love anything with paneer!

I ran across this on Reddit and found you here. Congratulations on your first solo. It appears you prepared well and it paid off. Spending the night in the woods is initially scary, but over times gets easier. Thanks for sharing your video.

Thank YOU so much for watching and leaving your comment. I am certainly excited to do more of solo camping from here on... It is an amazing feeling honestly - can't really express in words or video.

      Thank you Bruce!
You remember when I met you at the ORCKA training, I told you one of my goals this season was to be able to solo canoe camp? It was all because of your training that I was able to take this leap of faith. Thanks goes to you... You have opened up a whole new world to me and I can't wait to get on the water again solo...

Just start on your own, others will follow.. but do it for yourself. You will never regret it.... I have a journey in canoeing not too old.... If you want to follow my story, you can read my blogs on how I got started.... lostinthewildca.wordpress.com/

Great video - I would suggest no music and just leaving it as the sounds of nature :)

Certainly there is some charm in keeping it as-is... have witnessed many such outdoor documentaries with no music, and sometimes no dialogue at all - and they are captivating to watch
