Mighty Alyn, I don’t think I’ve heard Slieve Binnian so quite and what wonderful colours hitting the tors. I’ve never thought about the clouds pushing under the tent, I’ve learnt something new today. I’d say never trust the forecast.
Thanks Geoff. Yup, I'll be havin' a word with Barra. Lol. It was like a smoke machine at one point when the wind was at it's strongest. I just hadn't thought to lower my fly sheet to the ground (didn't think there would be any wind!) so it came under the gap and condensed on the net inner! Mad but fun. Glad you enjoyed the video
Your videos are so calming to watch Alyn 🙂 beautiful views on the way up and for sunset ⛰️🍂😍 shame about the next morning. Looked like you enjoyed your camp anyway 😊⛺️
Aw thanks so much Natalie. It never feels 'calm' when I'm out there with a camera. Much calmer without it. lol. But It was an amazing night and even the cloud and the gold light in the morning just made it really special. Still lovin' your content. Keep 'er lit!
Alyn, tonight was the night and those Autumnal colours are glorious in the Mournes👍 Loved that sharply defined layer of cloud ending in bright sunshine☀ away to the south and west. The light hitting the plumage of the raven and the tors on Binnian was cool, as was the rainbow🌈 Not having a breath of wind up there is something to be savoured👍 even for a time😊 No good camp would be complete without the weather causing problems. Good that the head cleared even if the mist didn't👍
@@gerrymcveigh It was a special one, Gerry! How many times have I walked that mountain but never thought to stay over. It was fantastic and so peaceful at sunset. The sun caught all the formations on the top and for a while the whole place was on fire. Was so much fun!!!!
Well done, Alyn, your commentary is superb, very inspiring. You seemed to be in your happy place, with a bar of chocolate adding some spice! Regards, Ashley
Thanks Ashley. The chocolate (and the whiskey) make everything better! It was a brilliant night up there. I don't know why I hadn't thought to do it before. Was inspired by Adrian's video and so pleased I followed through.
Another great video Alyn, also still to camp Binnian aswell despite walking it many times. Sun set was beautiful, dinner with a view, perfect. Looking forward to the next one 👍
@@BestlifeWildCampingOutdoors Exactly why I walked it! I have been up so many times and when I saw Adrian camping on it I thought, "How have I not done this!?". Its a great place to camp but difficult to pitch with all the rock also can be quite exposed! But its always good for the views. Glad you enjoyed it.
Some great shots showing Binnian at it's moody best, it's a great mountain to hike and even better to wake up on. Last time I stayed I watched the cloud gently blowing off the next morning and two Peregrine Falcons surveying the mountain for breakfast, what more could you ask for?
@@ExploreAboveAndBelow aw wow! Thats class. They usually nest on the other side of Silent Valley on slievenagloch. Fantastic. Im glad you enjoyed the video. It was a lot of fun to make. Youre right it is a super mountain to wake up on. Will definitely be back. Thanks for watching
Great video Alyn always a watch 👍 glad you enjoyed it binnian is one a the nicest mountains to hike and camp. That was a very calm night you had before the wind picked up. Thank you for the shout-out I look forward to seeing where you Adventure to next 👌
Well thank you for the inspiration Adrian!!! Binnian is brilliant and never disappoints but camping up there was a whole other level. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video, maybe we'll get a wee collab sometime.
@walkwatchers If you get a chance in the new year try camping there again. The Frosty mornings up there are brilliant good sunrise and cloud inversion. Yes that sounds good to me 👍
@HikingandcampingwithAdrian Oh! That sounds great. I have been on Bearnagh in the snow and a few others in frost. I walked Binnian last winter but will try the camping up there next
Nice video Alyn. Brilliant sky and amazing colours
Thanks pal. I appreciate that. Was an amazing night on the mountain. Was too long comin'. So glad Adrian had made his video- was a big inspiration.
Great video and that foggy morning light looks fantastic!!
@@stigfloberghagenphotography thanks so much. It was a special experience for sure. I need weather forecasting lessons though lol!
