  • We left our cabin and set off on our 1 year of travelling across North America. Our first stop is a 4-day backcountry canoe trip through Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. We rented a canoe at entry point 5, Canoe Lake, and set off from there on loop through the park. Once we got away from the crowded area of the park, it became a beautiful, quiet, and peaceful trip. We were able to capture many birds on film, as well as some squirrels and a muskrat! Unfortunately we saw no big animals like moose, bears, or wolves. Travelling up Otterslide Creek was our favorite part of the trip! See below for the full trip itinerary!
Day 1: Canoe Lake, Teepee Lake, Fawn Lake, Littledoe Lake, camp at Tom Tomson Lake
Day 2: Tom Tomson Lake, Ink Lake, McIntosh Lake, McIntosh Creek, White Trout Lake, camp at Big Trout Lake
Day 3: Big Trout Lake, Otterslide Creek, Otterslide Lake, Little Otterslide Lake, camp at Burnt Island Lake
Day 4: Burnt Island Lake, Baby Joe Lake, Teepee Lake, Canoe Lake

What a magical place! So cool to be isolated and secluded, yet absolutely free from society... Epic! Cheers guys!

I live in Ontario, and used to go camping up north with my parents when I was young. I really miss it. Very beautiful up there.

I honestly didn’t think I would continue watching you, not working on the cabin and all. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this episode. I’ll be back!

I love northern Ontario 🇨🇦. Great escape from the concrete jungle.

This is not Northern Ontario. North of Hwy 17 is Northern Ontario. Superior Provincial Park or Lake Nipigon Provincial Park.

@angelak38 When you live in a city near the border of Michigan/ Ontario, we consider it Northern Ontario. Of course, Ontario is huge and extends further north toward Manitoba. Have a great day!
