We hope this video is a blessing to you and helps you better understand one of Jesus’ most foundational parables. We can’t control how people respond to the Gospel, but we can be faithful in continuing to plan those seeds! God bless you all!
Love it, I was looking for a video to show to my sunday school class because we are studying this parable, and I found this video. It's so complete and simple to understand. Blessings.
You are almost correct on what Jesus was trying to tell you all about this parable. If you understand this parable , then you will understand what Jesus meant when he said “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you,”

Hi! It is been a while since I have started to doubt my testimony of faith. There is much to talk about... But trying to be brief, I finally have understood and believed the Gospel through a preacher, that I am saved through what Jesus has done for us on the cross - 1 Cor. 15:1-4; Eph 2:8-9. Initially I thought that I got saved in the scenario of when I said a sinner's prayer but then was wondering how do I know that I am saved, that's when I came to the understanding and belief in the Gospel, but thought that I got saved when said that sinner's pray (do tend to think that I might have held on it as a work - not sure), I finally understood here that how I know that I am saved, I assumed that I have believed the Gospel through that prayer since I confessed and believed but was not true. I am kind of stuck, I want to give up on everything and get saved for real... But now what is it? A matter of belief, decision? I believe the Gospel, but maybe not to the point of letting everything go, and simply rest... So I am not resting right now, that is something else that tells me I am not saved. I keep stressing this thought, hence not resting, which this is what I should be doing right? Since Jesus finished everything...
Hello, brother! You have started to doubt your testimony of faith? People have many incorrect views of faith, as you point out yourself. What exactly is genuine saving faith? Like walking across a narrow bridge over a deep canyon, faith is your determination that you trust that bridge to deliver you safely to the other side. If you believe the bridge can support you, you might step onto the bridge and start your walk because you want to get to where the bridge leads you. Faith in Jesus is your determination that you trust Him to lead you in this life and into the next life. Do you believe that He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6)? Do you believe that He showed you His perfect love for you by taking your sins onto Himself on the cross (1 Peter 2:24)? Do you believe that God raised Him from the dead (Acts 13:30), demonstrating that everything Jesus said was true? Do you understand that Jesus suffered and died for you so that you could turn away from a life of sin (Matthew 4:17; Acts 2:40, 3:26; 1 Peter 3:10-12) and live a new life (2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:20) of righteousness and peace, empowered by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14; Galatians 5:25), to walk in the light, just like Jesus (1 John 1:5-7)? Do you really want that kind of new life? Are you ready to give up the old life of sin, doing whatever you feel like doing? If so, you can decide right now, wherever you are, that you choose to make Jesus the Lord (Romans 10:9-10) of your life (totally in charge, ruling over your life, leading you in a new life of righteousness). You get to renew that decision every day, letting Him lead regardless of how you feel. Declare aloud to Him your decision right now as your testimony of faith in His love and power and wisdom to lead you in a new godly life every day. If there is something keeping you from fully trusting Jesus, then that is the thing you need to be saved from! Like the man who owned much (Mark 10:17-22), his possessions actually owned him. Whatever you are unwilling to give up to follow Jesus is the thing that owns you and keeps you prisoner, away from the new wonderful life that Jesus purchased for you. Let it go, trust Jesus to lead you, and follow Him (Mark 8:34-37). That is the way to the abundant life Jesus promised (John 10:10). We are praying for you to make the right decision.
Great question! There are varying degrees of “third soil Christians” and it is plausible that some believers are saved even if they are choked by worries and deceitful pleasures. The Apostle Paul wrote about some believers’ work being completely burned, resulting in loss of reward, yet they will still be saved, but only as one escaping through flames (1 Corinthians 3:15). However, this should not be our goal! The four soils are presented in order from least to greatest and it is UNDENIABLE that we should desire to be the fourth soil, one that hears the word, understands it, and bears good fruit that glorifies God. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. (Matthew 7:17-23) God bless you!
"They Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven"- Our personal relationship with Jesus Christ is not just about getting to heaven. It's about losing your life for His will to be done, so His loving grace can redeem what was lossed. If your heart is truly postured toward following God then repentance will cultivate a born again dying to self picking up they cross way of living, giving the Holy Spirit room to weed out the un holy weeds in your life, thus abiding. Only those that love & obey Christ Jesus commandments are truly his followers. Its way more than just going to Heaven
