For more than half a century, Charlie Roberts has been a big brother, friend, mentor, ‘partner in crime’, and loyal supporter of my endeavors. He was a musical genius and a truly good person, and loved by all who knew him. He positively touched lives through medicine, music, sport and his engaging personality. Now he is gone, and is already sorely missed.
Here he sings a prophetic song written by John Hewlett and myself. There is NO need to fear, for God is at our side. When he first heard it he expressed the desire to sing and record it, and so put his prodigious talents into the production. Enjoy and reflect on it much as I have over the past few weeks.
