“All men are forged from a single mold, but not all soldiers are equal. Sort them not by medals, nor by rank. The difference lies in their actions under pressure. Some men crumble, some men go far, some men go All The Way”
If you use historical events the facts should be correct. Alvin York was part of the 328th Infantry Regiment and NOT the 338th! Sabaton make your homework ^^
@@Medley3000 not embarrassing at all, it's a minor mistake, when they have made so many songs a minor slip up is only considered an embarrassment if you are extremely petty
Sergeant York was old school. Raised in rural Tennessee and a devout Christian, he was described from what I hear as very humble. Sadly, he lost so many of his friends and comrades in the trenches that when he came back to the states he was suffering like many others from severe shell shock.
*Sgt York has left the chat* Army: “Well now what are we gona do...” German army: “Yes!” *Audie Murphy has entered that chat* *Germany has left the chat*
A super patriotic American hero metal song, from a proud Swede..... I love Sabaton. (PS: They do this for so many countries, praising heroism while simultaneously lamenting the horrors of war.)
My favorite is "Resist and Bite" because its about tweaking the nose of the Germans despite facing impossible odds. Excellent video! Your reactions are priceless.
This is from WWI. Lost Battalion is also about americans. A last stand that ended well. In the Sabaton History episode about Cobras Fumantes, they tell the story of a vet that came to a concert...
Man i love this song as much as you do and i Appreciate, that finally someone reacted to that masterpiece. What you really have to do, is to react to "The last battle" from Sabaton... it gives you the same feeling like this song, though it is a bit different.
Heath for the love of the Gods react to Amaranthe's version. Band of the freaking week do it MAN!! Queen Elize will probably come say hi. No shame in falling for Elize, everyone in Metal does, it's inevitable. You seriously need to react to Amaranthe's version it's so freaking good.
Dude! You NEED to see these guys live! I've seen them 2x now and it is always a hell of a show and an adrenaline rush and you just leave the show HAPPY :-) Other songs for you: Screaming Eagle (about the 101st), Sparta, Shiroyama, Last Stand, To Hell and Back.
Found Sabaton in 2018. Addicted. Seen these guys in Krakow and London , Awesome. They don't have a bad song. Try Shiroyama, Winged Hussars, The Lost Battalion, Aces in Exile, Swedish Pagans, Uprising, Resist and Bite
Its pretty cool that 2 Swedish bands as Sabaton and Amaranthe give credit to US soldiers in history.. i havent heard any American bands really give that kinda credit and honor before... i might be mistaken.. forgive me if thats the case. Hell of a song anyway 🇸🇪🇺🇸
Their new guitar player fronts his own band, Majestica, as well. You should check out Above the Sky, dude has pipes. It’s good old power metal goodness
Sabaton tours with a band called Amaranthe, they made a cover of 82nd, and... well, gotta hear it, and you'll know. Saw them live in february in Oslo performing the song on stage together with Sabaton, epic does not do it justice.
I have so many suggestions for Sabaton songs.... Metal Machine, No bullets fly, back in control, Aces in exile, the red baron, Attero Dominatus, Nightwitches, Smoking snakes..... Many more to go through :)
Hell yeah! Kick ass song and great reaction, as always! You should check out The Attack of the Dead Men by Sabaton - arguably the most metal attack in history, if ever there were such a thing. Also, their version of Twilight of the Thundergod rips too!
You have done both Ghost Division and 40:1 from their Woodstock show.. try Uprising from the Woodstock live show, the crowd is wild and more into it than any other song.. Joakim has a few lines in Polish in the lyrics that the crowd goes batshit for. :D
Being that it is Sabaton it is based on historical events. During WWI Sergeant York was one of the most decorated American soldiers, including the medal of honor. Now listen to the Amaranthe version of this.
If you liked this one, you'd love Sabaton "To Hell and back" (about an American war hero, that struggled against PTSD and drug addiction after WWII). Also check out their latest music video, "Seven pillars of wisdom" (an epic song about Lawrence of Arabia). "Angels calling" feat. Apocalyptica (It's a cover of one of their older songs. Goosebumps!) "The final solution" (The Shindler's list-version. It's about Hitlers "final solution"... It really gives you the chills).
You should read WHY they did this song and read his autobiography. This is my favorite, I even have it on a ringtone. 82nd ALL THE WAY! Hey do "No Bullets Fly"!
Sgt. Alvin York, during the Great War, captured 270 German soldiers AND silenced or disabled 5 machine-gun emplacements. All single-handedly. How's that for badassery? Lol
"Well, York, looks like you captured the entire German Army!"
"No, sir. I only got 132."
That was only part. He actually captured, all told, 270 German soldiers.
York: "Gotta catch 'em all, sir"
this was 303 likes the number of days in the battle of verdun until i voted it up
You should react to Screaming Eagles because it's about the 101st airborne division
Yes
Definitely need to do Screaming Eagles, especially if he has a connection to the 101st
Yes! Screaming eagles is one of Sabaton's best and the music video is amazing too!
CRACK OF THE LIGHTNING SPLITTING THE GROUND
Yes screaming eagles, and the music video!
Time for Sabaton's Devil Dogs...you'll get chills again, guaranteed.
The history version... 100% the history version the intro alone will give him chills

my favorite Sabaton song is "Night Witches "
“All men are forged from a single mold, but not all soldiers are equal. Sort them not by medals, nor by rank. The difference lies in their actions under pressure. Some men crumble, some men go far, some men go All The Way”
The history versions are fantastic.
React to Sabaton's To Hell And Back. It's a song about Audie Murphy, the most decorated US soldier in WW2.
YES! This!! I was scrolling comments to see if anyone else mentioned this before I left my own comment suggesting it.
If you use historical events the facts should be correct. Alvin York was part of the 328th Infantry Regiment and NOT the 338th! Sabaton make your homework ^^
@@Medley3000 the corrected that in a live show

Sabaton are a class act and they have so much energy and put so much energy into all their songs.
Very true, they are so cool to their fans! I remember Joakim giving his sunglasses to a young fan at the concert I was at.
Bro, I love your energy. Keep it up. The next time Sabaton is on tour in the States, your ticket is on me. You *must* see this band live.
