It was pretty decent for a movie but I didn't find it as scary as the 1st one. If it was a stand alone not in the Halloween series I think it woulda done better
As other people have said, the director of the first film, John Carpenter, wanted to do an anthology series about Halloween after part 2. However, people wanted Michael Myers, so 4 brought him back and is subtitled The Return of Michael Myers. If you are curious, Dr. Loomis is back in 4; he has burn scars on half of his body, and there was supposed to be a scene showing him being flung from the explosion in the hospital, but it was cut. More useless trivia: the final cut of Halloween 3 leaves it ambiguous as to whether the third station took off the commercial, but the director wanted the screams of kids to play over the credits. The actor who played the doctor says he likes to think he was successful.
I'd like to think that the 3rd station didn't play it since I didn't hear kids screaming over the credits lol and yeah I could see this series working if the 2nd one had been different but since they went with a sequel instead of totally new story they gotta keep with the sequels ya know
It took them a whole six years before another Halloween movie came around, I think they needn't have bothered though but I guess being horror it was inevitable that they'd do it.
Hey, he blew tf up in 2!!!😅 END OF STORY!!!🤗💕 I agree, but once you watch the first 2, like with next-level horror "Friday The 13th", you HAVE to watch them all! Cheeze or no Cheeze! THEM'S THE RULES! 😅!!!
Thanks to growing up with this film since i was 6 in the 80s, having a male witch, sometimes called a warlock is normal to me. As a kid i watched this at least once a week. I watched it a few nights ago, and still love it.
the original idea for the Halloween movies that each one was going to be its own individual story put Michael Myers proved to be so popular that the idea was phased out and he was kept as the sole antagonist
Yeah I think this one woulda been better as a stand alone after the 1st one but because they went with Michael for the second this one feels out of place
As has been commented on, the franchise was supposedly supposed to be individual horror stories. Problem was nobody was told that!!! If they had've & went straight to another story in 2 I think it would've been a hit & gone on indefinitely. Instead they cashed-in & told nobody. I saw first one at 7 yro. In 2 Myers blew tf up!!! It didn't make sense for a 3rd, but all we knew & expected was more Myers, so we collectively hated it & they brought him back. I wish they went with original idea. I think as a stand alone flick this isn't bad at all. And like with '80's classic "They Live", it tells the truth & future. I'd say it's about silicone valley. And if you know the tribe the ancient druids supposedly became, makes perfect horror sense!😅 🤘🌎❤️
Halloween was supposed to be an anthology series so John Carpenter did his movies and the rest were gonna be new stories done by different writers and directors but people didn't like this one and were upset Michael Myers wasn't in it so they went back to the slasher movies
This is a flawed and ridiculous horror movie but it succeeds brilliantly at setting an atmosphere of isolation and doom. It does have a very novel premise and that blasted Silver Shamrock jingle (London Bridges) will stick in your brain forever. It popped into mine at work four days ago, entirely out of the blue.
My favorite movie in the entire Halloween franchise because it’s the only one that’s original.

The next four are my favorite ones they’re amazing
Don't even botherr with the next 4 installments, trust me
You'll remember this comment if you do end up watching em lol
I agree i really love 4, 5, and 6. The 7th one is decent, in my opinion.
I'll end up watching them all eventually
Hey, he blew tf up in 2!!!😅 END OF STORY!!!🤗💕

@@AldoCoolinBoolin I agree, H4 and H5 are pretty bad.
When you get to pt 6, I'd recommend the producer's cut. Admittedly there is a pretty dumb subplot but the pacing and editing is far superior
Lol…litterally all I remembered about this movie was the damn commercial😂🤣
😂by the end of editing it was getting to me lol

It must of thought male witches were wizards cause of Harry Potter I guess. It was a pretty decent movie just soo different from the first two

The voice of the lady doing the curfew announcement is Jamie Lee Curtis
Ohh that soo cool that they included her in it
@@AlcyoneReactsoh and i forgot she’s also the voice of the phone operator.
Also Dick Warlock who played Michael Myers in Halloween 2 was one of the Grey suit robots.
@@michaelmacias8 No way!! Awesome that they included both

Yeah if after the first they changed it up it coulda gone on forever but because they went with the continuation this one seems out of place
Underrated. And the next one is overrated. Go figure
I agree this one is underrated, but i disagree with what you said about the next one.
I feel it's like a lazy rehash from 1 but not as scary. Also, btchy Rachel is annoying, in totally different ways than Tina in 5
I guess I'll find out
Nah, 3 is rated perfectly. It's mediocre.

yeah this one wasn't exactly bad but it just wasn't Halloween ya know
yeah people are dumb
4 more days to Halloween Halloween Halloween Halloween Halloween Halloween Halloween Halloween
Silver Shamrock!!!! 😂
It's gunna be haunting me for awhile lol

It's for sure gunna drive me crazy for awhile lol
