Shame it wasn't more of a contest but a very balanced and honest review here. Hope to see you in the prem soon so we can enjoy many more derby days.

Lads really enjoyed your debate (Newcastle fan here). Thought you guys gave a much better account of yourselves in the second half, 3 half chances, got into the final third more and gave your fans something to shout about. We probably had 250 million (maybe more) investment on the pitch.

Thought Dan Neil had a poor game yesterday passed more to black and white than red , a few swivels on the ball then lose it doesn’t make a good performance in my opinion

Gents, As a Newcastle fan, I’m not messaging to gloat, I listened to both of your thoughts and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed your honest analysis and remarks about both sets of players, at the level you are playing at it’s obvious you are a strong and resilient side, as for your team in general, I agree that if Clarke wants a premiership move he has to add that defensive element to his game, Ballard and Patterson are top draw and yesterday aside are premiership ready, Bellingham, Neill, Ekwah and Hume are excellent prospects who will only get better, I think with a bit of investment the future is bright for your club

just a bit of advice from a Toon fan to mackem fans...support the team, NOT the regime, hell I was in every anti Trashley group going, we adhered to that adage from 2008 right through to 7th October 2021 ! As long as it takes, that's what's vital , no matter what !

    Enjoyable video guys.
Shallow dive question from a Rangers fan: how do you think Sunderland would've done yesterday if Mowbray had still been in charge?

    • @DABmonger
      @DABmonger 10 месяцев назад

No-one knows as you say, but if I was to push Sunderland fans ... I think most would think Mowbray would've done things differently.
But, as you say, Beale is at the start of his stint ...

lads ..as a Newcastle ...I just think the occasion got to a lot of your younger players .??...for example milley came on for us and I thought he had a poor game ?...with joelington going off it allowed your midfield more possession and so Pritchard had shots on goal which could have lead to goals in the second half ! just to say if you do go up in the play offs .,you will have to have a lot of investment ??..as the bottom of the premiere league are the same teams that came up last year ??..and some Sunderland fans say we are a average team !!! and were 9th spent £350-400 million ...so my point is how much will you need just to stay in the premiere league that,s question Sunderland fans shoulder be asking ?? ...best of luck ..you will need it if you come up

Rangers got rid of their manager for a reason. He is a grade one bluffer.

just shows how much both teams have missed the derby, it was always going to be hard against newcastle, i did think they should have pushed on a bit more even if it meant it was four or five

The club's got 20 games and a transfer window to regain some trust. On the field results will only go so far and mask what's happening around the club off the field.

What is this incessant need to criticize ekwah? I thought he didn't have a bad game at all, take away his inexperienced blunder, he worked his arse off and did as much if not more than Neil. Everyone seems to discard what jobe fails to do every game... All he did yesterday was Give the ball away but no-one says anything about that he looked uninterested and frankly out of his depth, too scared to get involved and not a dicky bird is said about it... everyone wants to jump on Ekwah's back and use him as the Scape goat week in week out, That lad can't do right for doing wrong, he has more promise than anyone gives him credit for so i think we need to ease up on him...

Just something else, the trash thrown at our players, they fed off it, particularly Tripps, surely you saw it? They haven't got to their position without subsuming crap...learn it and you might, just might , start heading up over !

From a Mag perspective i dont think sunderland have the quality to play possession type football and play out from back neither do they have the pace in midfield or up top to maintain a high press! If your owner applies some flexibility to his model of running your club and brings in experienced lads and a forward with some physical presence then you should have another crack at play offs

It didn't "go wrong for Sunderland". It went the only way it was ever gonna go. To think otherwise is to live in delusion. Not only are this current Newcastle squad simply levels and levels above Sunderland in terms of quality, ability and fitness, but they play as a team greater rhan the sum of the parts. There was no way, even on their best day, Sunderland coukd even compere with Newcastle at their worst.
Add to that, Eddie Howe has proven that he is a tactical master. Sunderland's manager has shown... frankly nothing.
I would have been more concerned if Mowbray was in charge which says it all.
Sunderland had no chance in that game. Zero. As the match statistics show. Newcastle absolutely destroyed them all over the pitch, in all facets of the sport, whilst never needjng to get out of second gear.
There was never going to be any other outcome. If you think otherwise, you are delusioal, plain and simple.
