lol Connor doesn’t care for story in video games and yet can’t be bothered to play DOOM, Soulsborne games, most RTS games, and older games where story is just an excuse to get to the next level.
When the writing doesn't appeal to you, there shouldn't be anything wrong with skipping. Either I'm going to stop playing the game because I don't like the story, or I'm going to skip the parts I don't like and appreciate the parts of the game I do. Engaging with game mechanics and engaging with story are also two very different things and a lot of people don't like switching back and forth. Also, sometimes people aren't able to switch back and forth as seamlessly as others. To be able to sit down and engage with a set of game mechanics without interruptions is not an invalid desire or need.
There's also the issue with quality of writing/directing/acting in games, but I'd rather not argue that here as it's probably the most argued AND it is currently seeing huge improvements.

Well firstly, I’m not talking about the bois, I’m talking about the guest. You can compare him to Anthony who clearly behaves like he had camera&production team well in mind, while ProZD just don’t give a fuck.
Secondly, I don’t believe at all that the way they talk staff on tt is same with they would privately do. I don’t mean they are faking it, but you have to know that there are cameras rolling and a production team(even though its probably just Meilyn and one other person) behind the scenes. People will behave somewhat more seriously especially when they are making a living out of this.
So what I meant in the original comment is that ProZD seems don’t care about any of these stuff at all.

Most people (understandibly) talk to both them and the audience, but ProZD feels like he's just talking to the boys. And I dont think one is necessarily better than the other (I loved Anthony's episode to bits). This approach could be detrimental, like you said he doesnt give a fuck, but thankfully its just as entertaining for me. haha
The first part feels more like an interview, although he is chill about it, probably because of the couch helps. Anthony was just a different beast when it comes to these kinds of shows so he can't be compared to regular viewers.

I relate to what ProZD said at 1:27:00 so much. I used to drop stuff sooo quick when I was a teenager and in my early twenties and now I watch everything I can. I think I just got tired of dropping stuff and having this mentality that nothing was worth the time to watch. Like Garnt said, as a kid I would watch anything... and those were the days, right? So why not do it again? It's not like not watching anime is more fun.

Throughout this episode I've been working in my room, periodically glancing from the corner of my eye when something interesting is mentioned. This has led to me noticing Garnt with his white shirt, shorts, legs crossed on a GIANT white couch. This ensemble has resulted in me regularly making double takes as my brain keeps mistaking Garnt for Piper Perri.
I already knew and loved ProZD but hearing him give the boys crap was hilarious!!! That shows closeness as well. I really roast my friends sometimes all in good fun cause they know I love them. What a great dynamic!! Love all of you guys. Keep being epicly awesome 😎

I played a crap ton of Borderlands 3 with FL4K. ProZD - you're probably not gonna see this but you did a fantastic job with this character.

I find it funny that Connor’s takes on Cutscenes is just Prozd’s skit on “when you skip all the cutscenes to get the gameplay” on RUclips.
I guess that's why ProzD accepted the role on the fan translation of Ace Attorney Investigations 2 is because he really love to be a part of it. Even it's an unofficial localisation. And he did a really great job too.
I had no idea he voiced a character in God of War: Ragnarok! So cool. Awesome that he got to write lines, name the character, mocap. Wild. It's actually super clever to let actors write for their own character (if they are good at writing). That way the characters feel more real and individualized and unique.

This was great! Really hope te see prozd as a guest again. Sometimes an episode is all over the place, still entertaining, but this was just very together and focused.
Connor and the boys should definitely watch those old 80s/early 90s OVA's more. California Crisis, Wicked City, Cybe Crity Oedo 808 etc. That era just has a lot of cool gems hidden everywhere if you look hard enough. That was easily the best era in anime

My personal favourite for an obscure anime is Heroic Age. I love spacey stuff like space travel, dimensions, space battles etc. This show fits me so well that it's one of the only shows I have actually rewatched, multiple times. And I am not a person who rewatches anime a lot at all.
Idk about other people, but for me, I would get really hyped and happy when the boys and their guests talk about anime, especially with the OG’s like ProZD. This podcast episode is legendary. Put it in the books in history!

First episode of Trash Taste I've felt compelled to watch, and it was incredibly entertaining! Hearing ProZD bring up so many mid-2000s anime brought me back to when I first started watching anime myself. It also reminded me to finally read the LNs for Haruhi, so thank you for that!

ProZD's rule of watching the cutscenes at least on the first time is basically the same with me when it comes to openings and endings. I listen to them at least one, unless they are absolutely bops, and then skip them on the rest of the times. That being said, I have a friend who just skips them in general
I had a friend that "skipped" the Mushoku Tensei openings each time so he just missed a bunch of plot lol

@@ahhhhyes Yeah, she's kind of a menace no cap 😂. I asked her what is some of her favorite openings and she said, I don't really listen to them and I went wait what? We watched Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood together and I forced her to at least listen to them once

Ah, one of the internet OGs who’ve made it! I’m so glad y’all have him on this week. It oughta be interesting to hear about how being a RUclipsr affects VA jobs and some interesting stories.
Board games are crazy. Growing up I wasn't ever a big fan of them because we only ever had competitive games and my family doesn't do losing very well so it always felt like you were trying to dodge misery rather than actually just play and have fun. But one day I saw some RUclipsrs playing a cooperative board game and it blew my mind that those types of games could exist, where you could all work together and just have fun rather than have to worry about beating someone else. We gave away all our old games and now have closets full of new ones that we get together and play several times a month.
