  • A proven leader and winner at the quarterback position. Bart Starr wasn't flashy, but he got the job done (especially in the post season). Starr threw for over 24,000 yards and 152 touchdowns. He stepped up his play in the post season throwing 15 touchdowns against 3 interceptions, helping the Packers win 5 NFL Championships and 2 Super Bowls in the 1960's. Starr also won the 1966 NFL MVP, Super Bowl MVP twice and was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Packers were a dominant running team in the early 60s. The 62 team is one of the most dominant rushing teams of all time.
By 66 the Packers averaged 3.5 yards per carry, WORST in the NFL. Starr won his only MVP as he lead the league in completion percentage, yards per attempt, and passer rating, and ending the season with a 4.7-to-1 touchdown-interception ratio.
And 9-1 in the playoffs.... c'mon man.... that is extraordinary. Best QB of the 60s and maybe of all time.

He's definitely among the very best for the 1960's. Also one of the two or three greatest playoff QB's ever with his QB rating going up 24 points in the postseason over the regular season.

He had run and shoot ability. According to receivers, he didn’t have a set receiver to throw to. He would simply find the open receiver within the 3 second count.

Could easily be a 25 or 30 minute video. Starr's career had too many highlights to list. Great player and a great man.
