    I’m also type 2. Most days I only eat one main meal a day. I’ve been naughty and forgetting to take my medication. My most recent blood test came back within a healthy range. I was over the moon. A healthy range by just watching what I eat and cooking fresh from scratch. With my Cosori dual blaze and pressure cooker, and watching your videos, I’m actually really enjoying cooking and trying new recipes. Before, I would just do a microwave meal and an hour later feel hungry again and snack. I love watching your videos. They have really inspired me, so thank you both. 🥰❤️❤️❤️

    Hi Martin about the carbon water it's not sugar but the gas in it causes the mouth to become too acidic and that's causes the bacteria from our food to thrive in the mouth and may increase the need for fillings. Loving these videos folks.

      I never liked school cabbage, but it was boiled within an inch of it’s life!!! Only cook it for a small amount of time, with a tiny amount of water, and just mix it up a couple of times, then strain the water, put the cabbage in a warm bowl, put some black pepper and butter on top and cut it in, using a pastry cutter, or something flat bladed, I promise you you’ll love it!

    Martin I would like to ask a question,my diabetic friends tell me that they should eat a little something every four,or so hours,as the idea is to keep their sugar levels steady,no sudden ups,and downs,but if they fast for 20 hours their sugar will spike,which they say is very bad for the body.We have talked about this because though I’m not diabetic I do fast,and only have one meal a day.I don’t believe I don’t feel hungry because of the type food I eat,I think it’s because my digestive system isn’t working all the time,so the brain doesn’t get hunger signals.So I was wondering if it’s safe for you to go so long without food,and perhaps you might check with your diabetic nutritionist.I wish you good luck on this diet,and be well.

    Steam air fry in the 15 in 1 for 12 mins. Veg bottom, chicken top shelf with seasoning. All flavour drips to veg and chicken breasts are so moist. Lovely healthy meal.

    Hi you guys, I’ve been watching your channel for the last year and love you and your family. My husband has suffered from similar problems for many years, he is now 79 and first had issues at 50, he has under gone a number of procedures but thankfully not cancerous. All I want to say that lots of supplements are little or useless and a waste of money, a good diet is good but fasting can upset your system. Nuts and seeds are also good but in moderation. Please eat normally and your problems can normally be fixed by diet, it’s an old man thing. My husband is fit 6ft 13 stone eating normally but he only has two pints of beer a week ( a treat). I know you have a diabetic problem which is difficult but don’t go mad. I have spent the last 30 years convincing my husband to be moderate. I know you will ignore this but just think on. Again love you both and been sensible, from a very experienced old lady. X

      I hear you Judy, I'm fully aware about a good diet and know that supplements are no replacement but the supplements are just temporary.

    From last evening
    NOTE TO SELF.....When moving hot pies from airfryer to plate with tongs, KEEP THE PIE IN THE FOIL CUP or the bottom of the hot pie might disintegrate all over the hand that's under the pie in case it falls out of the tongs.
    Rather hot sensation in left hand, pie all over the kitchen floor and fridge and freezer, cries of inclement language and 5 hrs with hand in saucepans of cold water.
    I'll never learn :D

    Another great idea adding turnips to the veg, high in fibre so you feel full for longer and low in calories helps to keep digestive tract healthy. Loving these ideas. Don't have a local butcher but found lambs liver in Asda 500gms, too much for me so cooked it in the slow cooker today with sliced onions and thick gravy with a bit of Worcester sauce. I set it on high and it was fully cooked at 2 & half hours ( temperature tested a piece of liver ). I am going to freeze what I can't eat in foil trays then it can go straight in the air fryer. Just looked up swedes, very nutritious cut in chunks it could be cooked like turnips then put in the air fryer like the turnips. Keep up the good work from Eileen ❤

      Hi, I loved watching you prepare this yummy meal. The gravy looked tasty. I have changed to healthier eating to improve my health too. I found The Glucose Goddess very helpful. She is on Instagram and RUclips. Her ideas help with reducing insulin resistance and inflammation. Thanks for your vlogs, I really enjoy them!!

    Morning Martin & sharon, with regards to the bacon being nitrate free, currently asda have a “better naked bacon” 6 rashers for £2.55 so little cheaper than the one you mentioned. Hope this helps. Rob

    I season chicken ie chicken seasoning all purpose it really takes it up a notch . We all need some carbohydrate ie pasta potato it’s all about balance . Baby frank would need some too he’s a toddler and needs energy . That’s not a critisism just what I learnt when I did a nutrition course when j worked in a care home .

    • @butlersempire
      @butlersempire  6 месяцев назад +3

      i did a nutrition course in 1994 and passed with flying colours. Trouble is, we were all lied to. You do not need carbs at all, There are no essential carbs needed for the human body as the body produces its own carbs. you do however need essential fatty acids (essential means the body can't produce them) and the best source of them is saturated fats.
      Totally against what conventional nutrition teaching has taught people over the last 5 decades but it was all a lie. Funding for all the research in the 50's and 60's was funded by large sugar corporations and they made Fat, the bad guy. Don't take my word, do your research.
