To hell with what anyone says. That scoop looks legit!
Agreed!!!!
Agreed
This is your build, and you are doing all the fabrication. Your final decision means more than anybody else.
Personally like the facelift and ‘hood scoop’ look. Really all the changes were well done, from the og tin top up until now. Love that you took this over Nate! The portal axles and everything you’ve done are coming out great!!
Nate I think it looks great, & good call on “marrying” it to the hood itself. That’s what I would’ve done. Otherwise I think it would have looked like an afterthought.
I just have to say that I've been following you for a while (across a few of my own accounts) and I think you are consistently one of the best (and I'd argue underrated, or at least not highly publicized) automotive RUclipsrs out there. You do unique stuff, which is maybe why it doesn't necessarily make it into the feeds of more people, but you impart so much knowledge and know-how in a relatively short amount of time. Great work, Nate.
Dude, finding the balance of time is the biggest deal ever for us family men! Letting others take some loads off is a great thing to learn
The hood scoop is AMAZING. Kind of a Star Wars vibe. You surprise me every other video with a new artistic skill
There's a question that I constantly ask myself whe seeing A LOT of RUclipsrs working: "Why is he doing that by himself? Doesn't he have any friends?" (that's actually two questions, LOL), but in all seriousness, I ask because I know that there has to be a lot of people that would volunteer a couple of hours to help you guys out. They don't have to be experts fabricators or skilled mechanics, just a person that can hold a piece of metal while you tack it, or someone that can help you tighten lug nuts while you look for the next part or tool that you're gonna use. Additionally is always good to have another set of eyes that can point out things or give you a different perspective. Maybe I say this because I'm ow retired, but I wish I lived close to any of you guys, so I can volunteer my time. 🤙
Suzuki rock crawlers never looked this good. I like how the front end turned out.
There's no complete satisfaction than hands on. This is a amazing work of art.❤ Love it.
It’s your rig. Build it how you want. Some dig the rusty beaters and others like to parade show crawlers. I like the direction you’re taking the build. Can’t wait to see it finished👍
I think the scoop looks sick personally
Love the hood scoop! Nice job “marrying” them together!
That hood turned out sick love when there is customs touches on a vehicle to make it stand out so that when someone sees it they are like that’s Nate’s Sami because there won’t be another like it
The whole vehicle is looking really awesome. Very cohesive vibe to the whole thing with the imported pieces… It’s rad, Nate!
16:14 thats what she said 😂
Great work Nate. Loving this series and I can’t wait to see this thing absolutely rip.
It’s super cool. It’s like a JDM flavor crawler.
0:24 Haha. Skip ahead in the video, na I’m here for the whole thing!
I just seen your gladiator and trailer at the grocery store in Moab
Nate, looks great! In the future you should use panel bonding adhesive. It is what the body shops use to bond panels together. You wouldn’t need rivets and it provides moisture protection. Love your channel!
Scoop added more of an aggressive feel to it. I like it.
Awesome as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
I had a 78 Z-28 Camaro back in the days, I installed an Iroc-Z hood scoop,, I grinded the the underside of the scoop and used what they used to call "tiger hair", to bond it together, and riveted , then I grinded the top and layed down fiberglass over, and used bondo to smooth it out..but in the long run, it started to cracked..but I believed they have a better products now.
I love it I watch the episodes when Ian made it the first time. Your doing a awesome job. Keep up the excellent work
Nate, the hood came out great. I like the uniqueness between the hood and the grill. Great job, Nate.
MAN !!! this thing is looking GREAT !!! i just stumbled onto your chanel this morning and i love it keep up the good work!
The hood looks really rad!! I’m enjoying all the nuggets you are building into this little rig 👍🏻👊🏻
The Zuk is looking fabulous!! Love the hood & front end in general. Totally unique!
That scoop really stands out. I love it!
Fantastic job bro. Coming along nicely! Keep up the great work!!!
That's so rad! Looks great.
the grill and hood are amazing! nice job!
I dig the look of the hood. Good work!
The hood scoop came out great. It's definitely a unique look and nice custom touch. 👍
Amazingly quirky and I love it! Amazing job Nate!! Enjoy Moab!
The hood scoop is spot on!👍
Great content...I really like the narration, it adds something special and fresh to each video. I think it's because of all the information you provide us in your project details.
I love the grill!!!! The hood scoop I wasn’t into at first but it came out great. I was screaming hoping you’d remove that hard line where the scoop meets the hood but that line looks better then I thought it would
Looks absolutely amazing Nate. Great job.
Wow, amazing work !
Love the hood. Always been a fan of cowl and stinger style hoods. Especially when they're functional.
the whole look of this rig looks AWESOME!!! 😍 I can't wait to see more!
I love it. Although I love jeeps on 1-tons with LSs, I get so much more inspiration when I see something different. Thanks for the videos!
I am a massive fan of the hood scoop. Looks great. Keeping the factory side vents and the scoop together now, looks awesome. I love how much work went into it, but not everyone will notice it just walking by, in my opinion, that is what what makes good fab work great. Loving this build. Keep it up Brotha.
I like the look of the scoop. A nice combination of form and function. I was a little concerned at the start with the body work, but it looks good. Like you said, it's a rock crawler, not a show car. Great video as always. can't wait to see the finished product.
It's all coming together quite nicely. The hood and grill look great.
Awesome work, top notch craftsmanship and thank you for sharing your skills!
Hey. Nate , next time you are doing body work like this , look into “Panel Bond” it is what manufacturers use to assemble cars with at the factory . It is actually stronger than the steel it is used to bond together. Incredibly strong stuff .. promise you will like it..
Samurai gets meaner every episode! Looking good
That looks freaking sick! Well done
Yeah mate super cool. Takes time but going in the right direction.
When I do sanding or fiberglass, I put up a cheap easy up in the shop, then use cheap plastic sheeting from Home Depot and make a little room out of it. Takes minutes and keeps the dust off every thing else. Also, for glass filler, 3m makes a product called micro bubbles that is used on aircraft. It’s mixed with an epoxy to the consistency you want, and it cure really strong, and sands really easy. I’ve found on the funny cars that it doesn’t chip or crack the way normal filler will. Project looks great Nate!
That is a work of art. Great work, Nate! I think that hood scoop gives it that mean/badass look.
Looks phenomenal, Nate!
Looks great. Can’t wait to see the next video!!
I'm loving everything that you are doing to this Sami! Good job man!
I'm digging the look of your hood. Great job. I definitely understand the thought of the hard work pays off. Just finishing my overland trailer and just painted it a similar color.
Love the whole look so far. Great job.
Looks awesome! Thanks Nate!
So far, this is my favorite Samurai… ever!
Awesome job Nate, now the JDM grill and Malaysian hood scoop compliment each other, like one commenter said they look factory ,you marrying JDM, German, to Nate know how = Badass rock crawler, looking forward to the rest of this build and yours and Ed's upcoming build what an epic spring/summer it'll be, Oh yah , asking for help is a great thing ,it will stop you from burning out👍
The scoop turned out great!
Looks good, and more so after seeing what you fixed!
That scoop looks great! And your skills never cease to amaze me!
It is looking so rad!
That's impossibly cool that you're making the whole 17 minutes video about one part only! Showing your techniques and knowledge and all. Thank you so much for sharing that!
Love the scoop!!
Hood is looking amazing!!! 💪🏼
I love the hood scoop too! I've used hood scoops off an old 280z on my hood for looks and better ventilation on my Samurai.
With body work, U-POL products are great! I've used the Raptor spray-on bed liner with awesome results and the when painting cars, the polyurethane clear coat is very durable and comes out really nice.
Hood looks cool! Nice job.
That hood looks fantastic!!
The scoop looks great.
I like it. Someday I hope to have a crawler with 42's that stick out past the front and rear bumpers so I could go up walls.
Looks so good. Very nice mods and repair
i love the primer check!
The hood looks really cool. Very unique. I really can’t wait to see this build complete.
Looks awesome!
I would have left the rivets visible. That's what I like visibly. I'm so happy to see you take the time and use metal in the rust repair. Saving the side hood vents was such a good call. The hood looks really good.
The hood and grill is fantastic
Good ol' 40 grit. Like sanding with a handful of lava rocks.
Strangely satisfying.. and a great result regards the repair on that corner ‘doodad’..
that hood looks so dope dude
especially after seeing the time and craftsmanship and just overall effort that went into that piece is what makes it even better :D
I used to have a 1998 Suzuki Sierra hardtop, that front grill was only on the very last few Suzuki sierras built that were coil sprung instead of leaf springs... The interior dash was also much nicer... Great lil car, can't wait to see the rest of the build... As always Nate fantastic work, you have one of the best off-road RUclips channels out there!
4:21 That looks MINT! I love it!
Watch robby Layton on how to do a guide coat over your base coat to help identify imperfections. Love the project. Love the hood!
Hood looks great, nice job on those louvers and the scoop owns that hood.
I think that hood mod looks great with the grille. Nice work, and thanks for sharing it with us, Nate!
The hood looks good & the craftsmanship is good enough! Your goal is met - you can close the hood.
Sweet hood. Doesn't need to be OEM original because the Samurai isn't stock. Looks great, send it!
Yes this is going to be so good 👍👍
It looks great!
That hood turned out nice, good job!
Nice Job.... can't wait to see more videos....., you don't need the factory metal tools,,, your skills are better and more important! Thanks for the update!
Nice. Love the hood.
Looks so sick!
That's super sick Nate, Great wwork!
Great job rescuing that little vent feature and I think the hood works well- very West Pacific, something you’d find in SE Asia, Japan or Australia, where these cars were more common over the years
It looks sick dude! I love the scoop. I want for the Monty!
Looks wicked!
Great look
Hoods sharp as hell!!
On my screen it looks REALLY GOOD!!!!
