That's what I heard so I watched a bunch of his videos and all I experienced was him spending a lot of time saying nothing. I don't mean to be insulting but frankly didn't learn much of anything.
This part of the Bible has always fascinated me. I love the Old Testament (I hate calling it that because there is nothing Old about it) I’ve noticed in many situations people get uncomfortable with all the really special in my opinion parts of the Bible. The stuff you have to dig for. You could spend years in the word and not know it all. God has given me so many blessings. I’ve had to overcome so much and staying rooted in the word is what brought me through. I’m so glad God brought your channel through my feed today.

These are the types of Scripture that make me wish I could read Hebrew and decipher the exact words myself because by the time the Torah was translated into English, a lot of false doctrine had already entered into the church and the translators themselves were likely reading the Word through that lens. This is another reason why we need to be so diligent in learning the Truth.

Dr. Michael Heiser, RIP, was a former editor with Logos Bible software, ancient Hebrew expert, and helped with translating the ESV and such ans so forth. He said of the Book of Enoch, that it is not inspired which is why it is not considered a biblical text but that it is still an important work since it obviously had some impact on the disciples as Peter and Jude both quote it in the Holy Scriptures. I agree that we should not take every word of it as true but it was clearly an influential work in Jesus' and the disciple's day. If we don't take any details from it, then we can still at least say that it does in fact strengthen the "Angel" view of Genesis Ch6 which is what you are talking about. I also believe that to be what God's word is clearly saying as opposed to the "Sons of Seth" view that is taught in many seminaries. This is a great topic and you have done a great job of introducing it. The Bible is so full of incredible stories and claims, the conartistry and repentance of Jacob, the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11 and Deuteronomy 32, The Divine Council of Psalm 82, the floating axe head, Daniel the prophet, Elijah, Elisha, Ezekiel (Really R-rated stuff in there). People would find God's word so fascinating if they/we would just read it. Then Holy Spirit will change your life through it. Change your entire outlook... your entire being. If you have not read it, don't reaplace your Bible with it but Dr. Heiser's book "The Unseen Realm" is really awesome. It helps give so much more weight to many of the things that Jesus says in the New Testament when you understand the language and context of the Old Testiment that He is quoting. Good stuff. Thank you for what you are doing.

I absolutely agree with you about the Bible in its current being divinely inspired and the way it is written is exactly the way God intended it to be. It would be foolish to think that the creator of all things wouldn't be able to have his instruction manual perfectly written for us. I have zero concern for what any other ancient text has to say about anything. If they were important enough to matter than God would have made sure that they were included in His word.

The Book of Enoch used to be apart of Bibles even Martin Luther’s Bible had an apocryphal section & the Dead Sea scrolls also contain the apocryphal text My orthodox Bible still has one , for the first 274 years of the King James Bible print it contained apocryphal books including the infamous 1611 King James Bible Apocrypha was officially removed 1885 ….. it’s not extra Biblical text , it’s the text they removed to water down churches to try and argue with the rise in atheism While I could maybe understand the argument of being careful with ancient less taught text I wouldn’t discount them they can help you out a lot with Biblical eschatology, many American Christians view the world & reality as an atheist for instance most churches would look at me sideways for saying there is a firmament Psalm 19:1 would tell them otherwise as does some description in the book of Enoch , same with timeline many people think earth is millions of years old that’s not Biblical Now I definitely don’t think you need it to be saved or even know Christ but it’s helped me answer questions about eschatology for atheist I talk with
Isaiah preached from the book of Enoch. Jesus quoted Isaiah on what he got from Enoch. Maybe we should pay attention to that. Jude also preached from the book of Enoch

I have been reading my bible again this past month every day and Im currently in Exodus and one chapter of the New Testament a day on my bible plan. This is my 5th time reading the entire bible since 2015. I hadn’t been reading it for the past couple years on a daily basis and my life was in shambles. Like Chadd said it is Gods word and he speaks to you through reading it. I cant believe how my stiff necked attitude has changed in a month of spending time with the Lord in his word on a daily basis. Relationships are healing, Im not swearing like I was, not trying to take on this messed up broken world like I was because now I let God take care of that! Im telling you if you are struggling this is the cure. Reading Gods word is so powerful! And who turned me onto the bible, a Green Beret combat Veteran I bought insurance from when I was probably at the lowest point of my life!!! Our stories are pretty similar. I’m in exodus 23 and started last month. It’s life changing just being in Gods word daily (almost daily). There’s a lot less backsliding when you stay in scripture. God bless buddy. Stay free
I haven’t t been to church since I was a kid. We got too busy with sports and stopped going. My grandma passed away about 5 years ago and she wanted me to have her bible. She has all sorts of notes and verses highlighted. I really want to start reading it and reading what she wrote in there and how she translated it. She was such a good hearted person, always laughing and smiling and just so friendly. I miss that woman dearly. I wish my kids would have met her. They would have absolutely loved each other.
Sounds like Jesus is calling you, turn to Him, repent, read your Bible, and get back to church. Giving your life to Christ will be the greatest choice you ever make. If I could do it, so could you.
Your kids can have memories of seeing you reading your bible. I have those same wonderful memories of my grandmother. She was such a Godly inspiration. Pick a 30-60 minute time to allow them to see you each day reading your bible. Maybe while they're supposed to be doing homework. Trust me and YOUR memories and you'll witness amazing things. We trust what we see, not what we hear.

Glad you’re going for it, Chadd. I’ve been reading the Bible pretty consistently for over 20 years. But followed a one year Bible plan four times going on five since 2020. It’s definitely changing my life and connecting many things I missed before. For everyone else besides Chadd: God will talk to you, YOU, if you read the Bible; and He will help you with all your weird problems and traumas. He already did it through Christ on the cross. Believing in Him and receiving His salvation will open the door to all His promises.

Please keep doing these 'Bible unexplained' videos! I have drifted away from the Lord, slowly over time. Your channel has really made me realize just how far I've wandered off from His path. I have prayed to seek His face more clearly. Soon after, i started waking up an hour before my alarm for work. I thought it was an inconvenience at first, but realized God SET ASIDE time for me to read my Bible and pray. I'm not even exhausted from habitually waking up early....

actually, Genesis 6 is just a very SMALL portion of the grand total sections of the Bible that talks about giants!!!! Let's not forget about Goliath. another tiny section. however here we go : Amorites, Nephelim, Anakites, Rephaites, Emites, Zamzummites, Horites, Avvites, and Gittites were all giants and that is not all!!! there are a whole bunch of records about giants in the Bible and they were the ENEMY of God in all those passages.

I’ve been a politics/news junkie for 20 years and now everything has just led me right back to the Bible… I personally am looking for a deeper understanding of the Bible than what the majority of churches care to offer. I’m not understanding you. They changed the original King James Bible in 1800s and removed like 15 or so books. To make it the one you are holding in your hand today. The original King James Bible was produced in the 1600s. If you took Enoch 1 and jubilees as your canon as well giants, demons, and space would make more sense. Not to mention both those books were found with the Dead Sea scrolls.
What you put as "removed like 15 or so books" just means that the new versions don't include the apocrypha which even King James affirmed was not inspired. I'm unsure why you fixated on the KJV. As for, "Enoch 1 and jubilees as your canon as well giants, demons, and space" well, you get all that in the Torah and traditional Tanakh as a whole so I'm unsure to what you're referring--well, except that your reference to "giants" begs these questions: What’s the usage of the vague, generic, subjective, multi-usage and modern English word “giants” in English Bibles? What’s your usage of the vague, generic, subjective, multi-usage and modern English word “giants”? Do those two usages agree? Also, FYI and BTW: 1 Enoch is Bible contradicting folklore from centuries, if not millennia, after the Torah, see my book, “In Consideration of the Book(s) of Enoch.”
Or the book of Enoch used Scripture to try and validate it as truth. The Bible speaks of angels having children with women without the need of the book of Enoch. The book of Enoch has so many inconsistencies with the actual scripture that it's obviously not written by the Holy Spirit. Stop wasting your time with extra books and just stick to actual scripture. It's actually a lot more exciting than how that "book of Enoch" gets things wrong.

God gave each of us His Spirit so we can decide as individuals how credible a work of literature is. Besides Jesus himself said “ do you not the scriptures” and then quoted from the book of Enoch, the book of Jude also makes mention. Sadly many brothers in sisters will stick to the beaten path simply because it’s “tradition”and feels safer than using God’s gift of discernment.

I also believe that to be what God's word is clearly saying as opposed to the "Sons of Seth" view that is taught in many seminaries. This is a great topic and you have done a great job of introducing it. The Bible is so full of incredible stories and claims, the conartistry and repentance of Jacob, the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11 and Deuteronomy 32, The Divine Council of Psalm 82, the floating axe head, Daniel the prophet, Elijah, Elisha, Ezekiel (Really R-rated stuff in there). People would find God's word so fascinating if they/we would just read it. Then Holy Spirit will change your life through it. Change your entire outlook... your entire being. If you have not read it, don't reaplace your Bible with it but Dr. Heiser's book "The Unseen Realm" is really awesome. It helps give so much more weight to many of the things that Jesus says in the New Testament when you understand the language and context of the Old Testiment that He is quoting. Good stuff. I absolutely agree with you about the Bible in its current being divinely inspired and the way it is written is exactly the way God intended it to be. It would be foolish to think that the creator of all things wouldn't be able to have his instruction manual perfectly written for us. I have zero concern for what any other ancient text has to say about anything. If they were important enough to matter than God would have made sure that they were included in His word.

My orthodox Bible still has one , for the first 274 years of the King James Bible print it contained apocryphal books including the infamous 1611 King James Bible
Apocrypha was officially removed 1885 ….. it’s not extra Biblical text , it’s the text they removed to water down churches to try and argue with the rise in atheism
While I could maybe understand the argument of being careful with ancient less taught text I wouldn’t discount them they can help you out a lot with Biblical eschatology, many American Christians view the world & reality as an atheist for instance most churches would look at me sideways for saying there is a firmament Psalm 19:1 would tell them otherwise as does some description in the book of Enoch , same with timeline many people think earth is millions of years old that’s not Biblical

I have been reading my bible again this past month every day and Im currently in Exodus and one chapter of the New Testament a day on my bible plan. This is my 5th time reading the entire bible since 2015. I hadn’t been reading it for the past couple years on a daily basis and my life was in shambles. Like Chadd said it is Gods word and he speaks to you through reading it. I cant believe how my stiff necked attitude has changed in a month of spending time with the Lord in his word on a daily basis. Relationships are healing, Im not swearing like I was, not trying to take on this messed up broken world like I was because now I let God take care of that! Im telling you if you are struggling this is the cure. Reading Gods word is so powerful! And who turned me onto the bible, a Green Beret combat Veteran I bought insurance from when I was probably at the lowest point of my life!!! Our stories are pretty similar. I’m in exodus 23 and started last month. It’s life changing just being in Gods word daily (almost daily). There’s a lot less backsliding when you stay in scripture. God bless buddy. Stay free
I haven’t t been to church since I was a kid. We got too busy with sports and stopped going. My grandma passed away about 5 years ago and she wanted me to have her bible. She has all sorts of notes and verses highlighted. I really want to start reading it and reading what she wrote in there and how she translated it. She was such a good hearted person, always laughing and smiling and just so friendly. I miss that woman dearly. I wish my kids would have met her. They would have absolutely loved each other.
Sounds like Jesus is calling you, turn to Him, repent, read your Bible, and get back to church. Giving your life to Christ will be the greatest choice you ever make. If I could do it, so could you.
Your kids can have memories of seeing you reading your bible. I have those same wonderful memories of my grandmother. She was such a Godly inspiration. Pick a 30-60 minute time to allow them to see you each day reading your bible. Maybe while they're supposed to be doing homework. Trust me and YOUR memories and you'll witness amazing things. We trust what we see, not what we hear.

Glad you’re going for it, Chadd. I’ve been reading the Bible pretty consistently for over 20 years. But followed a one year Bible plan four times going on five since 2020. It’s definitely changing my life and connecting many things I missed before.
For everyone else besides Chadd: God will talk to you, YOU, if you read the Bible; and He will help you with all your weird problems and traumas. He already did it through Christ on the cross. Believing in Him and receiving His salvation will open the door to all His promises.

actually, Genesis 6 is just a very SMALL portion of the grand total sections of the Bible that talks about giants!!!! Let's not forget about Goliath. another tiny section. however here we go : Amorites, Nephelim, Anakites, Rephaites, Emites, Zamzummites, Horites, Avvites, and Gittites were all giants and that is not all!!! there are a whole bunch of records about giants in the Bible and they were the ENEMY of God in all those passages.

I’m not understanding you. They changed the original King James Bible in 1800s and removed like 15 or so books. To make it the one you are holding in your hand today. The original King James Bible was produced in the 1600s. If you took Enoch 1 and jubilees as your canon as well giants, demons, and space would make more sense. Not to mention both those books were found with the Dead Sea scrolls.
What you put as "removed like 15 or so books" just means that the new versions don't include the apocrypha which even King James affirmed was not inspired.
I'm unsure why you fixated on the KJV.
As for, "Enoch 1 and jubilees as your canon as well giants, demons, and space" well, you get all that in the Torah and traditional Tanakh as a whole so I'm unsure to what you're referring--well, except that your reference to "giants" begs these questions:
