As a Marine who has served on combat tours in Iraq and Afghan, and worked and trained with Seals, It is so nice to see a Seal that isnt afraid to say the truth. There is so many 19x haters for no reason. 19x is a legit combat sidearm. I loved the M9 but the 19x is better in every way. I would go on deployment with the 19x over any other handgun with no problem.
@@zipper978 agreed I also love Glock. People who hate and can’t be objective will say crazy things. Being honest without glock it’s hard to say what modern day pistols consist of.
When I was on duty I carried a Glock 20 / 10 MM always felt better with the fire power and end up carrying a Glock 22/ .40 cal. Wearing both on the hip.
I'm retired ARMY and my last 13 years I was with the 160th SOAR(A). When I deployed I was issued the G19 I loved it because it didn't matter what type of weather or dust storm rolled through my G19 worked everytime. Now my G19 gen 5 mos is my concealed carry no matter where I go. It trusted it in buttcrackastan and I trust it now.
are the Glock produced in Austria or in the USA ? It seems that the USA renamed every weapon with a M but the G17*19 is still called glock 17/19 therefore i suppose Glock didn't give the USA trhe licence to produce their Glocks .?
Videos like this are why I didn’t even try reviewing my 19X because you did It perfectly and there’s no way I could’ve said It better. New subscriber here.
I feel the same way. I was born in 2000 and grew up seeing mostly Glocks in movies, tv shows, on law enforcement, in video games, mentioned in songs, and seeing everyone at the range primarily shooting Glocks. I guess it is my generation's version of the Beretta 92, Sig P226, and 1911s (also revolvers) that many people fell in love with based on what they saw back in the day. Because of this, I'm a little bias towards Glocks. The simplistic design and look is so iconic that I've always found it attractive.
I prefer the look too. I actually don't like the ultra jagged almost toy like looking SIG's and Springfield. They have so many corners and cavities and it just looks like a child designed those to me. It's too "futuristic" looking to me. I prefer the smooth and clean look of the Glock.
I'm left handed & ignored most Glocks up until 2014. Gen 4s then Gen 5 pistols. My 1st Glock was a factory refit police model 21 gen 4 .45acp. I owned a Glock grey 20 10mm, a few 26s, a 33 .357sig gen 4 briefly. Glocks work well with a few upgrades but they are excellent pistols.
I was a US NAVY Aviation Tech and was sent to Security School because of I am a good shoot and I agree with 99.9% of what you said but I have been carrying a personal Glock Gen 3 G22 40sw since Sept 2004 when I purchased my first Glock and I now own 18 Glock from the Gen 4 G17-G41 plus the New Gen5 G20,21 and 22. I have also built custom glock clones from in 9mm and 40sw in G17, G19, G22, G24 and G34. I have also have taken the Glock Armorer's Course and I must say that YOU DO NOT NEED to Pull the Trigger to take slide off the slide if the Trigger is not engaged. A slight rearward slide movement while at the same time pushing the disassembling lever down will allow the removal of the SLide without having to pull the trigger!
My EDC has been a Glock 19 gen 4 since 2011. The only change I have made has been replacing the sights with night sights. I have not experienced a failure with the gun. I trust it.
I'm a retired LEO and carried many types of Glock pistols over the years. G17, G19, G26, G22, G23, G27 and a G21. Now in retirement my EDC is a G43X and a G19X sits on my nightstand. And I agree with you, if I had to put on my old duty belt again, I'd have my 19X on my hip.
@@Atlasowl 9mm. Carried the 17 in uniform and the 19 while in investigations. 34 while on SRT. I also EDC off duty with the 26 for a while, up until the 43 came out.
As an employee of GLOCK, I truly enjoyed watching the video. My agency issued GLOCK pistols and the guys working for me couldn't break them. That is actually saying something if Cops can't make something stop working. I keep a 19X in my nightstand, and travel with a G45MOS with a Steiner MPS optic. I will continue to watch your videos and enjoy them as well.
Better extractors too. Glock uses a coating that wears over time and causes eradicate ejection and stove pipes sometimes. Fixed mine with apex extractor. Love the gun now. It was also not weak ammo or limp wrist. Other guns didnt have this issue.
You always have someone who wants to promote something different or newer, but he is so correct about the Glock. It’s practical, reliable and would for sure be my carry of choice. You have the variety of calibers to chose from all having the same quality. Unlike many 1911s which can be ammo sensitive, the Glock seems to work perfect with any ammo. If the Navy seals trust it, I’m all in!
I carried a Glock 19 and a Glock 26 as my duty weapons for many years. i loved them both. I presently own a 19 x. You inspired me to add the backstrap to mine. I made a big difference! Thanks for all of your info.
I started using Glock in the late 80’s when they became available, I was always a 1911 guy. I totally agree with you, if I need a pistol to protect my life I want a Glock! I own several different brands of pistols, but the Glock’s are my favorite!
@@MrDrew-qh2es Sorry to hear that my friend. Fortunately for me I live in FL. I hope you’ll have the opportunity to purchase a G 45 one day. In my opinion and for my purpose it’s the best 9mm Glock I’ve ever owned. Great night stand gun with the Streamlight TLR7 and with loose fitting clothes not difficult for CCW. Glock 19 slide on a 17 frame essentially with a great trigger that gets smoother with use. I’ve added TruGlo Pro tritium fiber optic sights. These equip all my Glocks (5) plus a Springfield Ultra Carry 1911 compact.
As a former infantry Marine I whole heartedly agree. Lanyard clip is crucial, we called it the “dummy cord”. If you lost something as a new guy you had to dummy cord everything to you. It was great.
I have Glocks ranging from 380, 9mm, 40, & 45! They all work, never jam and are very precise! I have 10 yrs in Army, 15 hrs on the Streets in a big city!
Hi Brother, I live in South Africa, which is considered by some to be the third most dangerous country in the world to live in, and I have carried nothing but Glocks since 1996!!!
I didn't even know you could own guns in South Africa!! Glocks are built like tanks! I been buying Taurus and Smith Wesson I owned a Glock 26 gen 4 and I could not get the right purchase on the weapon because the grip was so small so I went to Purchase a Taurus G3c which was great until 300 rounds later the slide catch and spring broke while firing. They fixed it after I sent it back 12 days later I received it back in the mail 2 days ago I haven't fired it yet but seem like the Glock is the most reliable so I'am selling all my guns now to move over to Glock
My son, who was involved in special operations for several years, said the Glock 19 was the preferred, due to all that you mentioned, plus it's low weight, smooth profile and simplicity. It runs filthy and, in all weather.
MARSOC Marines bought Glock 19s to support larger .45acp M45s but after a few years, the generals, MARSOC officers said: screw it, we'll just carry Glock 19s as sidearms. Colt Defense wasn't thrilled but Glock made $$$.
Well said sir. I agree totally!! Carry Glock on duty every day and have for several years. And the biggest plus, it goes BANG every time I press the trigger!! Love your channel sir. Thanks for sharing the information.
Glock 19x is my favorite! Owned a ton of Glocks and I just keep going back to the 19x. Put a ton and I mean a ton of ammo through mine with extreme accuracy and zero issues. My Glock search is now complete.
Awesome review! Thank you Chadd, for your wise and faithful ongoing service to the 2A community! You're a blessing brother, to many, many folks! The good Lord continue to bless and keep you, always!
The main complaint against glock isn't looks, it's that they don't innovate, but that's exactly why they are so reliable. Instead of constant rolling changes, and extensive redesigns, which invariably have certain kinks, glock they makes very modest changes to ensure the integrity of a very proven design.
Glock WAS the innovation. Glock rocked the gun market. Aside from that, the degree to which they have adapted the same, basic design for such a wide selection of calibers, and different applications for the pistol, is pretty cool. What do you need a handgun to do? Yeah, Glock has one that does that.
@@SpartacusColo that is not true, nothing was new in glock back in 1981, hk just sucks at marking. It kinda same like Microsoft an ibm. Windows is/was trash. Os/2 was better, but ibm can’t market.
@@heaterfamily The VP70 does not have a good reputation. The guys on InRange TV pretty much trash the gun: bad sights, bad trigger, etc. Glock did the same thing, but it was a much better pistol and did, indeed, revolutionize the gun market. All major gun manufacturers started their own polymer-frame, wonder-9 line because of Glock.
Agreed. And sh!t, I honestly prefer the look of the Glock. Some pistols have way too much going on, internally AND externally. I have a bunch, but the 19X is my EDC 👍 Happy fellow Vets Day bro
Nice video! I'm a retired Federal LEO and throughout my years of service I've carried Bereta, H&K's and Glocks. I broke one Bereta pistol from use and wear, I went through three H&K's for the same issues, but when my Agency changed to Glocks, I kept the same one until I retired. Now, I just bought a 19X, which I'm going to concealed carry for the rest of my life. Thanks for this video, it just reaffirmed my beliefs in Glocks!
How the hell do you break 3 HK handguns? They are extremely well built they are just overpriced because Glock does the same thing for 30% less in price.
I'm a Glock fanboy and really like the G48. Nobody seems to really like that particular model but I find that it conceals really well but still feels like a full size gun. It's just a slender single stack G19 that doesn't print hardly at all. Love your videos. Incredibly informative and inspiring!!!
I have two Glock 17s, but recently added the G48, and yes, it is much easier to conceal. Looking forward to getting some of the 15 round aftermarket mags for it.
I totally agree. I actually run a Glock 45 mos, pretty much same thing, and to me it’s the most balanced Glock they have made to date. Full size grip, 19 length slide. They should have brought that size out a long time ago
@@HarryManback0 If you can shoot, it doesn't matter. The G43 has a totally unnecessary barrel length unless you might be a competitive shooter. There's a reason millions of service people wanted the shorter slide.
@@HarryManback0 45 is better tbh because u can throw a compensator on a 45/19 length slide and have the same length as a 17 and much less felt recoup compared to a 17 & 34.
I agree with your reasoning with the exception of 2 minor points. I use the G23 instead of a G19 as I can (and have) purchased a 9mm conversion barrel for it. This allows me the versatility of 40 S&W (very popular in LE) and 9mm. For my own personal carry I have converted it as well to 357 SIG which is a very hard hitting round. I like the versatility that the G23 allows in the same package size as the G19. Further I prefer the G19 handle as it will accept G17 magazines as well as the G19 magazines. With the full length grip only G17 magazines will work. Just my thoughts!
Just purchased my first handgun, Glock 45. Same full-size grip as G17 and same barrel length as G19. I’m really enjoying learning from Chad’s videos and I appreciate his experience as well. A big plus for me is his No BS approach to life and being prepared to defend our loved one’s and ourselves from bad actors presently invading our country. Seems like it’s just a matter of time before some of these illegal aliens start doing bad things on a scale that’s potentially overwhelming. God bless Chad & Chili and stay vigilant. Nuff said!
Love my Glocks. My carry is a 43x MOS. Have never had a malfunction. However, I don't think I'd put it above the Beretta M9A4. I've shot My G19, G17, G43x, and the M9A4 shoots better, smoother, better grip, way better trigger, DA/SA, better take down, better feel just due to the aluminum and steel frame, and is just as reliable. However you do pay double the price for it.
Got one in my truck right now and I love it. My buddy had a m18 and I shot it alot but I still like the 19x better. But the 43x didn't impress me like the 19x
Good stuff Chad, thank you for sharing and for your service. I carry the G45 daily and could not agree more regarding reliability. Wet, dry, dusty or dirty , they just work.
Easy fix with the magazine release issue put some Lead Tape on the bottom of the magazine, can get it in the golf section in most sporting good stores.
The solution to the mags not dropping: While it's been around a while before "John Wick" (Credit Keanu for discovering this on his own) is a simple wrist flick and you can throw the mag whichever direction you want. This works with ARs just as well.
I have a strike industries mass driver on my 19x and a flared magwell and it’s an absolute war machine. It cycles everything I feed it (never had a malfunction in any of my glocks btw). With the comp it shoots as soft as a .22 nearly and it handles like a dream with a talon sandpaper grip. 19x is the best feeling and handling pistol out there
100% agree. First time I shot a Glock I could tell the difference in quality between it and other handguns I own. I purchased the model 22 .40 caliber. Man it’s a sweet shooter.
If you don’t mind me asking, what gen glock did you first shoot? I asked this because you said you saw a difference in quality after shooting but glock has some of the most horrendous triggers in the price range along with fn which is why I was ok with the gun before shooting but after I was unimpressed for the price. The gen 5 was much better on the trigger but still didn’t hold up when you consider that Canik is around the same price and has better sights, trigger, slide serrations , and comes optic ready with additional back straps.
I was in a gun store yesterday and an employee was telling me that Glocks were pieces of shit. I've carried a Glock on duty and off duty for YEARS. I've always shot in the top 1% when I had to qualify and they've ALWAYS been reliable. I truly don't care what it looks like. Its accurate, reliable and parts are everywhere. I love Glocks. I love my HK's and Sigs as well but my 19 has thousands of rounds through it and it works everytime.
The problem with most "gun experts" who work in gun shops is the amount of pure Fuddlore that is passed off as fact by people who should know better......
I agree with you 100%.!!! I carried a G19 on Duty for 19 years, I've since retired and my Department allowed.me to purchase it for fair market value ($250) and I'm still carrying either the G19 or a G26. One thing about Glocks they go bang everytime you pull the trigger and you could never go wrong by choosing to carry one 👍🏽
Bought one as soon as they came out and love mine. Never a hiccup with any ammunition. Plenty accurate and carries nicely. Great video and a new subscriber. 👊
I started with a G19 Gen4 But my buddy bought a 19X and so of course I had to buy one! I like the grip more than the G19. It's my night stand gun. I always recommend a G19 for first time buyers just because its a great gun.
I've got 1911's, revolvers, plenty of makes and models but I love my Gen 3 Glock 19 . It fits great in a Micro-Roni setup too. I do NOT own a SIG, I had one fail on me catastrophically at FLETC on Qual. day, I'll never own or carry one. Thank you for bringing up the dangerous thing of grooves on the front of a slide, see how to lose fingers! The only mods I've done to my 19 are upgraded night sights, extended mag and slide releases, that's it. Great video, ARMY Vet here, go SEALS!
Agreed 100%..they just run and run well. I’ve owned at-least 30 Glocks, 10s of thousands of rounds and they’ve never let down. Glock 19X is a great offering from Glock.
I just recently installed a Timney trigger in my G 17 Gen 3. Makes all the difference in the world. Reduced my groups by around 50%. I'm 77 and have arthritis and needed the help.
Mr Corder. I truly feel your pain . A few months North of 70 here. Forced to retire from a 35 year long career of over the road driving. EXTENSIVE Osteoarthritis. Broad beefy palms and short fingers made the 1911 45 ACP a natural fit. Glock was an ACQUIRED taste. The G 45, G 19X was the first Glock past the Gen 2 that was comfortable in my grasp. The G 45 that I purchased several months ago and I have become “good friends”. I shoot well with it and enjoy my time at the range with this pistol. I’ll be trading a new and unfired Gen 3 Glock 34 for a Gen 5 with grip similar to that G 45.
Was looking for a new gun for some security that I'm doing, didn't really know what I wanted for sure until I watched your vid. Went down yesterday and got my own......Love it. I've owned two 17's and loved them, but sold them to get other guns.....I feel like I'm home again with the 19X. Thanks!
The only thing I’ve changed was the factory sights and an Overwatch Precision trigger. I like that they use factory Glock trigger bars and the main reason I swapped was I did not like the face of the factory shoe. Other than that, you hit every nail right in the head as to why I chose Glock as my carry weapon. Have both 43X and Gen5 19 and have never had any issues with either one of them. The only malfunction I did witness, was my wife’s first trip to the range and limp wristing and had a failure to feed. Showed he what she did wrong and it never happened again. There’s a reason they are one of, if not the highest selling handgun.
I’m not a Special Forces Operator but have done my share of competitive shooting…Glock’s are excellent for their quality and the 19X (with its better sights, magazines, and water cups) is the best of the bunch. If I had only one firearm to bet my life on, I would still lean toward the HK USP. Tried and true. It has been tested by everyone and their brother and thirty plus years later it is a tank. And for me, I am much more accurate on target with each version (9mm, .40, and 45ACP). And as awesome as Glocks are, there are so many competitors making “better versions “ of the “Perfect Pistol”. One doesn’t seem to have that with the USP; it is that good!! The Steyr M9 A1 or A2 is also excellent and if they had better aftermarket support, I do think that they are a legitimate rival to Glock.
I”ll take the g45. Its the same but can use all the mag versions. That ledge at the front of the 19x limits the version magazine you can use and if you want to buy all new gen 5 magazines that adds up………love my 45 and dont need a loop, im not jumping out of planes or diving in the ocean.
@@recon1986 It's also easy and cheap to replace the gen 5 floor plates with the other type. Lanyard loop pops off in two seconds if a person don't like it. I put a Double Diamond barrel in my 19x. I'm loving it, don't even carry the 19 anymore.
Ooh boy… you kicked up the hornets nest now. I’ve been shooting Glocks for 15 years and love them for what they are. I have other pistols that are more custom, expensive, accurate, smooth, ect. but if I’m betting my life on a handgun, it’s going to be a Glock.
Regarding lanyards: a fellow crewchief on c130 told me the story of flying some seals to some mission and as they were loading equipment one of the seals unknowingly dropped their handgun. My buddy saw it, picked it up and tapped the guy on the shoulder and presented him with his pistol. The seal didn't even say thanks, just snatched the weapon out of his hand and turned away.
Funny! I was a MP 95B enlisted, 1990s. 🚔 we wore 92Fs or M9s. About 18mo into my 30mo at my 2nd post, our MP company commander required us to wear lanyards on duty. I myself didn't like them. Pistol lanyards or cords tend to get hung up on seats, car doors. Or they snag, cause the gun to get slowed up.
Seems to me that SEAL had a lot on his mind. 'Course if you doubt that, you and your buddy could try tailgate jumping a C 130 at 30,000 feet, with oxygen, free fall into a hostile area, at night, on the kind of classified missions the SEALS are known for. Practice holding your water first, though.
I'm in NY and about to go for my pistol permit, I think I'll go with a Glock 19. I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6.... amazing channel man keep up the content!
Good video, on my Glocks I have changed “nothing” all is OEM stock and the firearm works perfectly with no problems, accurate, reliable, no mis feeds, you can feed it any ammo, simple cleaning, fair price. Great handgun.
@@The11eleven The OEM sights are fine for me, I’m not convinced that these are inferior, real training is the answer, I find accuracy no issue night or day
@@robinperronjones5024 it’s not about accuracy, it’s about durability. If you do any real training, you’ll see that the stock Glock sights are pathetic. The rear will shift left to right with the slightest knock, and the front will brake off with any considerable amount of force. If your “training” only consist of going to the range to do some target shooting, you’ll never experience this. However, if it’s a pistol that you’ll be carrying on a daily basis for self defense, I would advise swapping them out. Sooner or later you’ll agree!
@@The11eleven I train tactically and I am a licensed CCW, you may be right but at this time they work ok on my 26/43. I do have a removable red dot on the 26 as I like easy versatility. I believe that Glock know what they are doing as well as other high end manufacturers in other sectors, I’m amazed that in the USA it’s a upgrade heaven, however sometimes trust in the OEM, however I will heed your advice, thanks
I’m a boomer. And I love my 1911. I was a Glock naysayer for many years. My primary argument was the trigger. I shot one at a range once in the 90s and hated the trigger. Then I read an article in early 2000s about the 1911. The author was a boomer and well respected gun author as well. His comments were essentially that this (like me) who eschewed the Glock because of the trigger had forgotten how dreadful Government model 1911 triggers were. And that the colt 70s and gold cups had taken years to develop and address the problems. So I revisited the Glock and have come to really like it. Good stuff!
I'm a long time S&W MP 2.0 guy who became Glock curious. I opted for the 17 Gen 5. Yes, I thought it looked a little boring, but I absolutely agree with Chadd in regard to the reliability. The Glock eats every ammo I put through it with zero jams or misfires. The same can be said about my S&W MP 2.0. The only thing I don't like about Glocks are their tiny, sharp, takedown pins. I'm a big fan of takedown levers. I laughed when Chadd made the Sig comment. I recently purchased a p229 Legion. It's the prettiest gun I own, but I've had countless failures. I thought perhaps I may have been limp wristing it so I booked a session with an instructor and he had the same problem and suggested that I return it. I even upgraded to Sig's ammo and still had the problem. I returned it to Sig, so we'll see what happens.
I bought an sig P229 legion RX model years back. Sold it shortly after due to failure to feed. Sig said I was limp wristing it but I’m sure I wasn’t. The Romeo zero sucked ass too, battery door and the battery comes flying off at the range under recoil. I sold it for $1100, bought it for $1600. Been regretting it but reading your comment now I don’t miss the frustration of a high dollar weapon failing. Some other reviewers also had failures with it. Maybe after its break in period it should be good but it was just a pretty gun.
@@GookInaTree Update: As noted, I purchased Sig ammo and still had the same problem, so I returned it to Sig. Since the repair I have not had any problems but the experience soured me on the firearm and I just don't take it to the range as much as my other firearms. S&W remains my favorite company. I have six products from them and they check all the boxes for me. In my early collection years I sampled various competitive brands and S&W was always my clear favorite. Sadly, I no longer trust firearm product reviews. My suspicion is many are paid spokesmen and women. What troubled me most about my p229 Legion experience was that the Sig representative told me that I needed top of the line ammo for my firearm to function efficiently. He used the "you wouldn't put cheap gas in a Ferrari analogy." Well the most important box I want to check with a firearm is that it goes bang when I pull the trigger. I don't want to be in an emergency situation and have to worry about whether I loaded the 'good' ammo. I probably won't sell it anytime soon but it just sits in the safe while I have fun with my S&W and other models.
Congrats!...your neighbors must be extremely comfortable with your practicing...the kid on the swing set in the background never stopped or seemed the least bit scared, to your right in the video at 12:30. Great video, thanks for the info on the Glocks.
I bought the 19x because it fits my twisted, arthritic hands and on days when they are really painful, I can still rack the slide. I'm also pretty accurate with it.
My best friend was Army SF, and he bought him a G19(legally), and at that time, he wasn't supposed to use that side arm but he took it with him on every mission. He also said he preferred using a sidearm for really close quarter house raids in Iraq when they were looking for Saddam and his officers.
More and more, if I had to choose one handgun as my everything rig, it's gotta be 10mm. I like the increased ability to reach out and deliver energy at distance and on point of aim. The 40 is a little more than duty size, but the 20 or 29 fits the bill. The 40 is still my fave, though. I'll happily give up two rounds over the little 9mm plinkers.
The 19x is a cool looking gun if you ask me and the night sights are great..the trigger pull is sweet and i like the grip texture..its my new favorite gun
Awesome brother! Try the Glock 45. Same gun but comes in black and usually with better sights. I also think it comes with an improved trigger from the factory. Don’t quote me on that but mine felt noticeably different from standard Glocks right out of the box. My favorite Glock by far.
He didn’t really say why the 19X was better and mentioned an actual difference between them other than he mentioned the lanyard (which can be added to the G45) and standard with crappy night sights. The Agents that are optional on the G45 is superior to the G19X sights. But he fails to mention the negatives of the G19X: it can’t use all Glock 17 mags. It can only use the third and forth generation magazines. Gen 5 magazines are incompatible.
I’ve been carrying my G22/Gen3 since 2002-same gun. I prefer the 40, it’s a man stopper. But to each their own. The X19 to me would be awesome if it could be chambered in a 40 also.
As with any caliber it's all about shot placement. I have personal knowledge of 2 shootings of persons shot with .40, first guy took multiple (7-8) hits, lower center mass. Other incident was 1 to head. Both survived. I sat in on more trials or had working insight of shootings with 9mm or smaller caliber where subject expired relatively quickly.
I like Glocks just fine but prefer other handguns. I carry a Walther P99C AS for my CCW. I love the de-cocker and the trigger. I have a Beretta M9A4 I carry with my 782 gear as a GTW sidearm. I have a Springfield Armory XDM Elite in 10mm for critters when out in the sticks...Just personal preference for me. I certainly don't hate Glocks but I went through HRP with the M9. My familiarity with the weapon makes it an easy choice. I'm perfectly happy with it as my GTW sidearm. I use what works for me, as I believe everybody should.
A great way to improve the mag change is to get a heavier than stock aluminum base plate. I run a 19 with Tyrant Designs +5 on OEM mags. The added weight helps an empty mag drop free. 19 with the +5 on OEM = 20rd mags. It is really nice way to go. I am not sure what is out there for the 19x because of the nub at the bottom of the grip but the 45 can take the Tyrant Designs +5 making them 22rd mags.
I love my 19x. You get the best parts of the 19 and 17 in one package. I do agree the trigger is one thing I would change. The more I shoot the better it seems to get though.
Quick update to my prior post. So I cut the slide for an optic and installed the Glock Performance Trigger in my 19X and it is pure perfection now. I loved this gun before but now it is truly off the charts awesome. Just my honest opinion everyone. Will be picking up another 19X soon as they are extremely affordable as people just can’t realize how awesome a gun this is. So you all are aware, I was informed by a Glock dealer that any 19X that starts with “PX” is an Austrian made firearm. They are starting to make these in the US now. Loving this channel as well as I really appreciate the no BS commentary from one of our prior NAVY elite warriors. Thank you for your service sir.
great video, thankyou for your service. I have a G19X as well as an M9A4 and a SigM11A1. all tree are great shooters right out of the box.you are 100% correct about the M9 trigger....smoooooth as butttttah! I would stake my life on the reliability of all three of my pistols. I shoot totally "stock". I don't change a thing on my pistols. I don't shoot with gloves, never have, never will. I don't use lights, and don't "press check" either. I'm a retired Marine Corps vet. I did 3 tours to Iraq. When a Navy Seal says it, that's the end in my book. I'll be purchasing one. Thank you for sharing.
I have the G45 mos, 43x mos and a 19x. I would have to say the 19x is without a doubt my favorite. The only addition I made to my 19x is the extended slide release and some spare mags.
The 19X and the 45 MOS are the same gun except the 19x has the lanyard and needs that magwell lip cut off to accept a wider range of mags, while the 45 mos is optics cut and can accept a wide range of mags.
Love Glocks, and my G29 10mm is the only handgun in my collection that broke. Plastic factory guide rod broke and I was done shooting for the day. Got home and noticed frame had a crack to boot. Checked online forums and found cracked frames are not uncommon. My advice is replace the factory guide rod while you’re replacing the sights and adequate trigger. I opted for a G45 vs the 19X.
Only reason to go for the 19x vs the 45 is for the standard night sights and spring cups. At around the same price. I bought the 19x but if it had been apples to apples would have bought the 45
Glocks have been known to go 200,000 rounds on OEM parts. I could see changing the guide rod for a steel or tungsten one but I would NOT change the trigger. Just sights and guide rod and throw a optic on it. That’s all it’s needs👍🏻
My brother served in the Army and he prefers the Glock as a side arm as well. He said the Beretta they used at the time wasn’t reliable compared to the glock.
I built 80% Glock and 1911, which gave me a deep understanding of these two platforms. I would say Glock is evolutionary even today. I trust Glock and my fine tuned Polymer80.
New subscriber and first time commenter. This was a great review! I appreciate your knowledge so much. And I personally love the way the Glock looks. It's menacing, smooth, ominous. Works for me!
Try the shadow systems MR920. It’s everything a Glock should have been right out of the box. Better trigger, slide cuts, RMR cut, magwell flare, fluted barrel. All for less than you can modify a Glock for.
Definitely persuaded me to purchase i want something reliable something i dont have to picky with what ammo i use i mainly want something thatll work every time i pull the trigger n this looks to be the best option thanks bud great video
@JR-wo3sn because the m9 is still stuck with the gen 1 locking blocks. They have been much improved since then. But you cant expect the military to get anything right.
Facts 💯! I have a couple of Glocks, the 19X being my EDC/Home defense/ SHTF sidearm. Lots if work done to it. Milled slide,Holosun 507c X2,Apex trigger, Agency Arms comp and Magwell, threaded barrel, DPM guiderod and stippling. I’m in the military and the SIG is fine, but for me at least, will never surpass the G19X.
All that done to a pistol when the competition provides more for the same cost. Buy a walther PDP and save yourself the money and still have a better firearm.

He had a bunch of 9mm FMJ so grabbed 10 boxes and put 5 boxes through my 19 X . Well , all I can say is you are spot on. I’m in love with the 19X. Fantastic handgun 👍

I love the way Glocks look honestly. Simple design. Reliable. My 19 has never ever failed ever. Shoots flawlessly all the time.
Agreed. Love the square angles on everything
My 2nd Gen Glock 19 will not die after 30 years. I had to sell it, so I can get a new Gen 5 Glock 45. 🤣
I prefer the look too. I actually don't like the ultra jagged almost toy like looking SIG's and Springfield. They have so many corners and cavities and it just looks like a child designed those to me. It's too "futuristic" looking to me. I prefer the smooth and clean look of the Glock.

After 20+ years of resisting glocks, I purchased a 43x and a Glock 45 recently and I’m in love and a believer

I trust it.

My son, who was involved in special operations for several years, said the Glock 19 was the preferred, due to all that you mentioned, plus it's low weight, smooth profile and simplicity. It runs filthy and, in all weather.

The main complaint against glock isn't looks, it's that they don't innovate, but that's exactly why they are so reliable. Instead of constant rolling changes, and extensive redesigns, which invariably have certain kinks, glock they makes very modest changes to ensure the integrity of a very proven design.
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it apparently
Glock WAS the innovation. Glock rocked the gun market. Aside from that, the degree to which they have adapted the same, basic design for such a wide selection of calibers, and different applications for the pistol, is pretty cool. What do you need a handgun to do? Yeah, Glock has one that does that.
If some of my guns had that trigger-pull I'd be a happier camper!

The G34 shoots way better than the 19, 19x, or 17.

Nyet. 19(x) is fine.
The 135gr 40S&W is just as good as 125gr 357 Sig.

Must be a Gen 1 otherwise i figure it would have blown apart by now. You got a good one! congrats

I bought a model 45 last year that convinced me . I just love it.
COPS USED THEM SINCE THE 80'S AND THEY ALL HAD ISSUES WITH THEM, WHICH IS WHY YOU KEEP SEEING ALL THESE NEW-GEN DESIGNS.

@@recon1986 It's also easy and cheap to replace the gen 5 floor plates with the other type. Lanyard loop pops off in two seconds if a person don't like it. I put a Double Diamond barrel in my 19x. I'm loving it, don't even carry the 19 anymore.
@@recon1986 dude keep reading, you’ll see i fixed that 2 weeks ago
Or they snag, cause the gun to get slowed up.
it’s normally only used for mounted and motorcycle patrols if you are a police officer.@@DavidLLambertmobile
I bought this gun based on this review. Glad I did. Shoots great, lots of mags and night sights. Very happy customer
I'm in NY and about to go for my pistol permit, I think I'll go with a Glock 19. I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6.... amazing channel man keep up the content!
Good luck, let us know the progress on your gov. Experience.
Good video, on my Glocks I have changed “nothing” all is OEM stock and the firearm works perfectly with no problems, accurate, reliable, no mis feeds, you can feed it any ammo, simple cleaning, fair price. Great handgun.
Sights are a must on any and every Glock that comes with standard polymer sights.
Good stuff!
1911 not good for carry
Glock 19X "Adequate Perfection"
Agree. Love my 22 (40cal ) and my monster glockzilla 40(10 mm ) Both concealable with IWB veddar attached to my Tier 1 belt.
The 45 was on the table. He explained why he prefers the 19X.
did you even listen to what he said or did you come to comment your opinion then go watch another video?
He didn’t really say why the 19X was better and mentioned an actual difference between them other than he mentioned the lanyard (which can be added to the G45) and standard with crappy night sights. The Agents that are optional on the G45 is superior to the G19X sights.
But he fails to mention the negatives of the G19X: it can’t use all Glock 17 mags. It can only use the third and forth generation magazines. Gen 5 magazines are incompatible.
Love my Glock. Gen4 Glock 19 was my first handgun. I can’t remember the last malfunction I’ve had and I run whatever is on sale.
@@MC-qy6fz right on. All loaded up, I’ll roll out with my 40. Glock please make a 40 cal X19, call it X22?
The G19x is my range gun. Damn, I love it. Never a problem. I live in the south so the easy to conceal G43x is my edc. Both are great.
The glock 19x is my everyday carry I loved it since the day I got it. This is coming from a marine vet
Only people I listen too when it comes to guns are those who trained to use them
Thank you for your service!! Just got my 19x for my birthday, my first firearm couldn’t be happier!
Something my 92 has never excelled is mag changes. Same with my px4.
I love my 19x. You get the best parts of the 19 and 17 in one package. I do agree the trigger is one thing I would change. The more I shoot the better it seems to get though.
Put an apex in it and you’ll never look back. Only thing I’ve done to mine
I have no issues with the trigger. Feels like Glock to me, and I'm good with that.
100% on point...Function over form! Use the tool that works, period. God bless brother!
Have a Gen 5 19Mos . Love it but have had my eye on the 19x for some time due to the full size grip. Gonna make it happen.
Just got me a 19x. Is the most natural feeling model they make and I have several different glocks.
I’ve had mine for about 5 months now and absolutely love it. Best handling rig I’ve owned to date.
Great videos man, I appreciate the content! Just as a disclaimer for everyone, you don't have to pull the trigger when you dissemble Glocks.
great video, thankyou for your service. I see guys on an indoor range bust caps on targets all the way back at the "wall"...why?? pistols are for CLOSE range, if the guy is half a football field away, you are just making the state prosecutor's job just that much easier!!..semper fi
WHAT IF THEY ARE AFTER THE STATE PROSECUTOR??!!😂😂😂
8:58 explains why my 19x would jam whenever my mom shot it I just assumed she wasn’t tapping the mag hard enough but this makes way more sense.
G45 MOS for me
The 19X and the 45 MOS are the same gun except the 19x has the lanyard and needs that magwell lip cut off to accept a wider range of mags, while the 45 mos is optics cut and can accept a wide range of mags.
Must have been shooting some hot or reload 10mm ammo out of it?
My brother served in the Army and he prefers the Glock as a side arm as well. He said the Beretta they used at the time wasn’t reliable compared to the glock.
The Berettas they used were a lot older. The M9s are reliable.

Went combat pistol shopping yesterday, came home with a 19X. Life is good.
Personally my m&p 2.0 would be my go to great grip ergonomics nice sights accurate and very reliable overall very good looking gun as well👍🏼
I built 80% Glock and 1911, which gave me a deep understanding of these two platforms.
Less than you can modify a Glock for? I just looked it up, that statement is not true. Best to go with Glock, not a pretender.
Max Moody, it's 100% true. Look up the Tactical Toolbox's comparison of a Glock 19 vs a Shadowsystems MR920. ruclips.net/video/GhBPTL0Jfyo/видео.html
I personally like the Beretta 92.. I had a glock and your right ✅ them things are very reliable
Got to have both.
Definitely persuaded me to purchase i want something reliable something i dont have to picky with what ammo i use i mainly want something thatll work every time i pull the trigger n this looks to be the best option thanks bud great video
“Never forget: your service weapon was made by the lowest bidder.” I’m a fan of the 320 & 19x but IMO the M9A3/4 should have won the contract.
I carried the M9 beretta and the locking blocks are a joke. Failed and failed again
The M9A4 is a good looking weapon. I got to put some rounds through the M9A3 and I felt like I couldn't miss with it.
@@JR-wo3sn Small Arms Solutions has a video stating the government purchasing replacement locking blocks from a 3rd party to save money.
Lmao this isn't the 80s and I'm not John McLane. Beretta is a relic.

19x my favorite as well, thanks for showing the misses as well, you don't see a lot of that on RUclips lol, I agree about the trigger however they're so reliable I'm not changing anything on a Glock especially if I'm using it for self-defense.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the 19X. I have been thinking about getting one for a while and today I picked mine up from my FFL. He had a bunch of 9mm FMJ so grabbed 10 boxes and put 5 boxes through my 19 X . Well , all I can say is you are spot on. I’m in love with the 19X. Fantastic handgun 👍
Been a 1911 guy for years and still carry one. I do find myself reaching for one of my 19's more and more these days.
I am a Walther, CZ, and Canik handguns fan. But I don't dismiss Glock, I own a 41 SF 45 auto (13+1) and I am very pleased with it.
