Memories i use to play this when it was raining. Then my first girlfriend would tell me that game again turn it off. Xbox 360. I told her leave me alone 54 hours a week work only to play for three hours a weekend. I broke up with her fast.
My strategy, as it has been since acquiring Meracle, is to control her at all times, do blindsides and get a shit load of criticals with Chain Combos. This worked until the 4th or 5th wave and all my characters started getting one shotted and all my attacks started only doing double digit damage because the enemies wouldn't attack meracle anymore, so no more blindsides. Taunt would be a death sentence in this battle I feel, so looks like it's time to grind.
Great video I used this team: Edge, Sarah, Myuria, Bacchus Just having Sarah for Faire Heal, Myuria doing all the work of magics and Rush, Edge and Bacchus holding the damage... Myuria casting void to remove the buffs of the enemies it's very useful..
Thanks I used your method saved me alot of frustration. I used iced needles instead though it kept the phantoms off balance so they could barely attack plus it hits nine times.
Are you sure there were eight waves? because to me there weren't. Either that means I counted wrong or I was so 'in the zone' that I didn't even notice lol
For me, I ended up abusing blindsides to kill them, prioritizing the ones attacking Sarah. I ran Edge and Bacchus as tanks with the HP Boost + No Guard combo because lmao screw those spamming phantoms.
I prefer the magic users in Star Ocean games, also, I REALLY suck at using the Blindside mechanic. Honestly I even lucked out in this simply because of one item.
CaptainA23 Maybe so, but I've never seen anyone beat this controlling Myuria. I would've never thought to use Deep Freeze to kill multiple of them at the same time. I was also pretty underleveled in this fight, around 36 average for the whole team but I still managed to win on my first try.
@@tyeus3673 theres actually a speedrun of this game in chaos mode where a level 34 myuria killed all of the 8 waves, lol. this is easily doable on the higher difficulties with faize or myuria with an optional arc spellmaster monster jewel if you have it. if you wanna see it, here it is. /watch?v=hEPLQElUfmI
The last wave feel impossible. I don't have any ressurection items so I can only use the white bird and her ressurection magic. But she dies at the 5th wave. She is a useful bird when she is alive. After her death, it's doom. Lvl 40 seem too short... And blindsides ? Almost imossible when there is 3+ soldiers on you. 2v1 seem okay..

five years dealing with this god damn fight and i still can't beat it at lvl 41+ with maxed out skills. god i fucking hate it.

I practiced blindside only for this fight. Then the next boss died after 4 blindsides from Mera. What a joke.
I used myuria and basically just did ranged magic attacks usually killing 2 or 3 soldiers at a time with the lighting attacks

I get to the 5th or 6th raid and get totally wrecked and can't find out for the life of me why
I justed emp'ed bombed all of them each wave made it tons easier
this is the hardest boss so far!! I hate these stupid soldiers😡 that 3rd wave is a bitch

Yeah this mini boss is shit.. :| They are even more annoying then a regular boss
is it just me... or... whenever i fight the phantoms.. my game lags... even had my sound cut out.. :(

Sadly I died my first try, this is my 2nd attempt after level grinding a bit.
