Every Time a Rocky Lane Western Shows on You Tube, I'm There to Watch and Enjoy One of My Favorite Western Icons !
With nothing worth watching on 200+ channels on the TV. I have enjoyed finding so many old Western movies and TV shows here on RUclips.
This is my first Rocky Lane Western but it sure won't be the last.
rocky lane never loses his hat,,, from fighting, jumping over the horse, on top of the house or cliffs,,, amazing,,,😅
Excellent, almost a western film noire! Really enjoyed it. Funny how Rocky keeps meeting Nugget over and over for the first time!
Haha. Yes and the ‘inn’ is Nugget’s house in another Rocky Lane movie.
L
Thanks for all of these old Rocky Lane Westerns!
Watching these movies is exciting. Bring back memories.
Maintains the soul.
These are the Great westerns I started watching in early January of 1970 as a 9 1/2 yo boy with my cousins Bill Ferg and Kula Ferg after arriving after Christmas of 1969 in Melbourne!
Creeeep. Wonderful actor and good looking, Denver Pyle. And let’s give a cheer for Alan Lane and Clint Walker’s tight levies. May they make a 2022 year return. 👨👨👨👌👌👌😋😋😋🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰
Nice to see Clayton Moore in another roll, besides being the Lone Ranger. Seen him as a gangster, a military guard, and now bad cowboy.... neat.
He still walks and talks like Lone Ranger... so he must really be the lone ranger!!!!
Another corn-ball, "fluff" Western, but good enough to watch for pure entertainment!! I don't think I've EVER seen so many wagons, buckboards or stagecoaches come apart from their team of horses in one movie!! Talk about "beating a dead horse!!"
Still it was nice to see a young Clayton Moore (w/out his Lone Ranger mask), playing a bad guy. I recognized Trevor Bardette right off, by his voice, & the VERY young Denver Pyle was quite a hunk, although he hadn't yet developed his trademark, husky, smokers' voice!! ❤
thanks for posting my sister and i watched rocky every saturday morning on the curly meyerss show .my sister is 63yrs old and iam 65 we still run our horses just like rocky did
That seems to be all rocky does is run horses, with a little bit of dialogue in between.
Great old movie! A real nugget to find! Thanks Jane!
A nice movie ....detective kind in Western movies .... Never seen one like this . . .. Enjoyed it ..
Thanks for this old movie which I enjoyed very much. Nothing like the old westerns.
i agree, and im just 3o mins in !
im a big "mr ed" fan, that's what finally got me to check out allan lane
lol, i was almost giddy waiting for him to speak, expecting to hear, mr ed ! omg, in a million years i could never pick him out, for ed her clearly "does a voice"
even better, hearing the familiar voice of Clayton Moore
I am a western movie fan. I enjoy watching Rocky Lane an his horse Black Jack.
Crandall, the guy in the checked shirt, was played by Clayton Moore the future 'Lone Ranger."
Allen "Rocky Lane, one of the best!
thanks for your channel...👍
Great movie with an unusual story. Good also to see all the classic Republic Pictures contract players like Roy Barcroft, Clayton Moore, Eddie Waller, Trevor Bardette, and a young Denver Pyle as the creepy night clerk.
This is about the earliest I remember seeing Denver Pyle. He became a favorite character actor. It’s fun to see where all they show up as the westerns continued thru the years.
Thank you for the great movie 🙃☕❤❤❤🤠
This one has elements of the old dark house mysteries of the thirties and forties. Creepy house, weird desk clerk, rooms that change and the invisible George. Another haunted house western is Haunted Gold with John Wayne.
😊
Good movie. Some great western movie and tv stars in this one.
Great movie like all Westerns. Keeps one engrossed through and through
Great one! Thanks for posting.
H;arry Leonard Albershart (Rocky Lane) was born in 1909 in Mishawaka, Indiana. There is a historical marker in front of the house at 224 E. Mishawaka Avenue, (then called E. Joseph Street) where he was born.
It just warms my heart when i see amarillo some where, which is where my mother and i were born. Mother gtoebup there but we left when i was probably close to five ehen my father went to the seminar and i didn’t move back til i was im my 50s, it still a pretty area bu5 i gre up mainly in the panhandle of Florida, which is what really feels like home To Me,that area is wherevmy fathers side of famiky is from.
However trashy and badly acted/produced, I really love these corny old B movies. Whenever I get a little bored and restless, I play one of these and it does me the world of good. Thank you so much.
They are called B westerns for a reason--and I enjoy them--even 8 or 9 shots from a six gun--just fine
They sure worked those poor horses, the whole episode was practically somebody chasing somebody else on horse back.
*NEVADA JANE: GLAD TO SEE THAT YOUR CHANNEL IS STILL WORKING OKAY!*
My great aunt Lynn Castile was in this movie. She was alleged to have been Jack Benny's mistress in life. What a colorful woman. Later became a hollywood reporter.
That big black gelding Rocky rides is a one fine horse.
great film.
my compliments sir
Never heard of him. Not too bad. thanks for posting.

Thanks for the pretty good movie even if somebody kept messing with the volume?
Good movie.
I read that the preacher, undertaker and Eddy Waller were the only people that attended Allan Lane's funeral; sad indeed.
The Lone Ranger as the bad guy. Clayton Moore.
Have Never seen him lose his hat
The movie this story awesomel
It is outside coming down Don’t worry when you get back here you’ll get some
GRANDE ROCKY LANE, QUE DEUS O TENHA EU SEU REINO, SE ESSE REINO EXISTIR!!!
Always keep in mind horses can only run full speed for 1.5 to 2.0 miles at a time before needing to stop and rest.
Was this one of Denver Pyle's first movies? His character sure changed over his course of movies over the years... Brisco Darling and Jesse Duke..., Texas Ranger Frank Hamer, etc. Read his biography on Wickedpedia... he had quite a career!
Cool
Smile real pretty Matilda!!
Did anybody catch Clayton Moore (Lone Ranger)? Great movie
Good
Pretty good Western.
I always have to chuckle that supposedly a little face mask completely hid their identity - clothes and horses, etc. meant nothing. haha

Future Lone Ranger and Rocky killed him.
Stiff acting and then he became a stiff.
*58:45** STAGE HAD NO-ONE UNDER THE DRIVERS SEAT JUST BEFORE IT HIT THE WATER...MOVIES WERE TOO CHEAP IN 1948 TO PUT A DUMMY IN THE PLACE OF THE LIVE ACTOR OR STUNTMAN! LOL!*
57:45 The stage suddenly loses it's roof rack before it magically reappears. Credit to the continuity man, Only saying. Like old western movies great entertainment.
And the Race is orn.man
Name of movie SPEED 3
2nd time 4 her he been aft her to get married but she's a runaway bride preémarry.😄😃
Why does he always knock people off their horse on a hill? A rolling fall does not hurt as much as a level ground fall?
Perry Mason revisited
Papillon hi this
Why would you get on a stage to chase a stage, when you had a fash horse nearby? Also, why kill underwood? You have to money, so blow the join.
They had a lot of action packed into that stage coach chasing stage coach scene. Rocky would not had the opportunity to get knocked off, drug underneath, climb back on and continue the fight. If you look at 58;01 you can see the top of a cowboy hat worn by the guy driving the stage during the fight on top, just as Rocky climbs back down to take the driving lines. That hat can be seen again at 58;53 below the empty driver's seat.
off the wall is right too convoluted and dragged on
That does not look anything like Amarillo.😁
Me
eddie waller rocked, where's your sense of humour?
My favorite of the comic sidekicks.
