Psoas Stretch + Release for Healthy (and happy!) Hips

  • Do your hips always feel tight, no matter how much you stretch them? It could be that you're not giving your psoas muscles and hip flexors the type of stretch that they love. These two stretches will provide a functional stretch deep into your hip with the added benefit of rotation.
    An element that's missing in a lot of hip flexor and psoas stretches is rotation- giving the muscles and surrounding areas an opportunity to move in different ways, especially out of the sagittal plane. Moving out of the sagittal plane means that you are able to address all the layers of muscle and other tissues to bring more oxygen, blood flow and a feeling of ease.
    Add these two stretches to your daily life and you'll feel a difference!
