That is a rare car. Only 110 zx5 eap’s, black/pitch black in 04’. Comp orange and infra red are even more rare. Those front seats look good!. Im sure that interior will clean up. 150k isnt very high mileage. Its the age of the car that becomes the issue. Mostly with plastic interior parts, buttons, switches, ect. Other than the recaro seats, the shifter hat bushings are hard to find if missing. The mach hid lights are hard to find also. Just order some for the st170 from europe if you need them.
Right on. That's great info. I didn't know it was so rare. Definitely going to do my best to save it. Poor car has had a rough go the past couple years.
@@605BOLT i bet they will work fine. Especially if the rear inspection covers are still there. If the lenses are bad you could always buy cheap assemblies and swap the lenses over. I watched your video again. Im sure that engine is a svt engine if it has the svt head, which it does, and if it has the 6spd trans hooked to it. I dont think there is any difference in the block other than the oil squirters. Honestly i wouldnt worry about the rods unless you plan on running a turbo. Any 2000-04 hood and fenders will work on that car. They made a 4dr duratec, 05’+ that had all the trim options as the svt other than heated recaro seats and rear disc brakes and svt suspension. They had a cheap leather option, which i will probably be looking for next, along with a 05’ st. So you might be able to find one in a junkyard for random interior trim pieces, front and rear doors ext, if you want cleaner ones. I used f150 seat heater elements to get mine working again. Its a bitch change. Seats covers need to come off. The traction control and seat heater switches came in mustangs and f150’s as well. Keep that audiophile deck in there. That was a very good stereo system back in the day. Its a bitch to install anything else in there anyway. It came with a 6 disc changer, cross over, amp and 8” sub from the factory. The volume knob gets dirty and stops working but can be cleaned or just use the controls on the steering wheel. You might be able to find a rebuilt audiophile deck on ebay. I havent seen one in a long time though. If your car came with the honey comb grille, with integrated yellow turn signals, take care of it. They are hard to find. Same with the front and rear bumpers. These are good little cars. They are fun to drive and cheap/easy to work on.
Hell ya man. Looooooove that info. Interesting little tidbits for sure. It's funny the knob is just like u said. It has the sub and I should have all the interior pieces in a pile. Just gotta put it all back together. That extra engine was off Facebook. It wasn't put together with the trans. I just got the pieces. I really appreciate your feedback here. You will have to keep up to date as things progress. I need experts to tell me if I'm on the right track!!!
Haha if I part it out everything will be for sale. But most people are saying there is some meat left on the bone. I'll probably try and get her going again. I'm excited to drive it but I haven't ever driven an svt focus before.
Hell ya man. Would love to see this car go to someone who is knowledgeable and keeps the car alive and working. Or I'll keep her as a daily. Great either way. Your nephew can check out the videos and see if he's interested. 👍👍
"svt" is the trim.. not specific to either body style though. Zx5 is a trim, and zx3 is a trim, 605BOLT was using "zx5" as reference to the specific body style.

I do have the mach headlights still. I hope they work. 🤞

Nice little milestone!
Welcome to the fleet, little focus! :)
Poor little bugger.
Good luck on the project, mines blue, fun car
Nice. I like the blue ones. Dang black is so hard to keep clean and nice. This one is already pretty toast.
I love your new project
Thanks @Big Ray. Hope to get it going eventually haha. Do you have one?
I can't wait to see more!
Thanks Shayne. I'm excited to get going on it too. I need a "new" daily fun car!
@@605BOLT same here I'm actually looking at getting one for myself
I hear they're fun cars but I've never driven one so I guess we'll see. 🤷♂️

Nice! Do you daily it or is yours more of a collector condition?
@@605BOLT it’s my daily for now. The high rev motors fun. You should sell me your leather seats.

Looked great at Ice Cream Cruise 2022...I was that other ZX5 that was there
Thanks! Happy to meet you! It was good to chat and I appreciate your knowledge of these cars!
@@605BOLT went back to get your info for the car...my nephew really liked it and is going to try and get his dad's ok to buy it

Eyy bro I have a Ford Focus svt 03 I like your car I hope I get to drive it cus is fun and I love it
I'm currently rebuilding the engine so hopefully sooner rather than later haha. 🤞
Im excited lol
I haven't forgotten about this project. It's taking space in my garage. Going to be a lot of work.
Nice
It's pretty bad go be honest. 😬
Zx5 are different from svts
I'm confused. Are you saying this is not an SVT? They did make ZX5 SVT Focus' and this is one of them.

At least somebody gets it. 🫤🤣
@@605BOLT ZX5 SVTs are crazy rare. Thanks for keeping it alive and out of a junkyard
Doing my best. Been a great little work car for most of the year now. No complaints. Don't see many EAP ZX5 SVTs
