Well I thought we all tested our new toys in the garden 👍🏻 great vid as always
I’ve had one of those fire pits for the last 18 months, I love it. Every time we go out we use it and I’m now on the second mesh, which you can buy separate from the fire pit on e bay. It’s a big thumbs up for me 👍🏻
How "long" does the mesh last for ?? Does it burn out or just crumble ??
Is it temperature based use or fire time use - if you know what I mean
Awesome bit of kit.
Great for showing the kids how to start a fire safely and just fun to be able to have a small fire in the garden without it burning any grass.
Also great for normal camping even if they are ok with you making fires on the floor.
That is a great idea. I’d defo buy one. Thanks Dan for showing us this.
Great little garden video, more please. I was looking at these raised firepits and now I'm definitely getting one, thanks and keep safe and keep going 👍
Great vid Dan. It’s the first time I have ever seen one. It looks very promising for a number of different environments, particularly the “leave no trace” issue. Thank you.
Hope you are doing well. Thanks for the content over the last lockdown helped a lot. I bought one awhile ago used it most weekends in the garden and it’s worked perfectly well. Plus side is all the ash is kept on the mesh once cold for easy disposal. Packs up really small so fits in my Bergen.
Just ordered mine great idea for my garden as it is bank holiday weekend this week I've also ordered a new pop up walk in ice fishing gazebo type tent a great way to chill, it's great to see you showing us all the camping equipment and showing us the pros and cons really useful thank you.
One of your best videos in my opinion as I never even knew this kit existed. Really interesting and good info in regards to weight / length and height. Going to be looking into purchasing one of these thanks to you! Much appreciated and love your videos.
Used one for a couple of years now... especially useful when camping in pine woodlands and other places you wouldnt normally be able to build a fire....
I often go camping when it's below freezing at night. I can really see this putting out radiant heat out and down and all round. I can see it warming the feet and shins, not just the upper body. I can also see it working beautifully in the snow or on a frozen lake!
Dan i have got one of these and they are great . I have had mine a couple of years now.
Good video Dan, I also have one as well. Great bit of kit for the price and it extends your fire making options if it's really wet or snowing.
I have been wanting to practice proper fire making out and about without starting a fire on the ground so this looks perfect, I ordered one immediately, thanks for showing me this exists
Was it any good thinking of getting one
Thanks for the review. I did think about getting one last year but was a bit skeptical. Now I think I will be getting one. 👍
Really good bit of kit
The wife is on to my gear addiction. Everytime I get a new parcel through the post the wife says 'u watching English Woodsman again' ?😂 I like it when u do gear reviews in the garden 👍
Do what I do - sneak it in the house & then say, "What? This old thing? I've had it ages" Then change the subject quickly. It often works
Thanks for the real review. Great
Had one of these from when they first appeared and love it. You can stack a lot of more wood on it than you did and the ash doesn't fall through the holes. If you get a big fire going though on grass you will kill the grass underneath it due to the heat.
Followed step by step instructions and it went up 1st time without any issues even the husband was impressed! 😆
I have one,love it
Really helpful video! I bought one of these off Amazon just over a year ago. I've never put it up myself but have not. Going to try lighting a fire 🔥😊 thank you
I've got one and find it really good. I had to replace the mesh as I used colour change powder that must of had sulphur in and burnt holes but new mesh is holding up well
cheers dan i just got one of these as im off camping with the misses as she dont like wild camping so staying on a site which allows fire pits and you showing how it goes together is much appreciated cheeers buddy
That’s a great piece of kit especially for leaving no trace, good review mate 👍
Thumbs up , reading all good comments here of people and people who have one, so i best take it its a good bit of kit , great raised off the ground , but it must be just me that dosen't like the "look" of it , just looks to open to me in, a breeze i could imagine embers and ash blowing all over the place due to lack of sides , like i say just me as a few people say they are great
Best regards .
Its a good idea for any location that you dont want to leave a mark on the floor. 👍
I've got one too mate. Really good ,no complaints with it. Take care mate 👍
I’ve just ordered one. Been playing with the idea for a bit. Can’t wait to give it a go
Love that thanks God bless 👊
Nice one Dan thanks for the link 👍
That is a genius bit of kit
Review videos okay if you’re out and about already but this one is absolutely perfect for the garden set up Nice one Dan has always
Been looking at one of these, nice to see it work il defo be getting one
Hi Dazza they are really good for a off ground fire plus it does not burn the ground
Great work on video mate 👍👍👍
Thet was so helpful, thank you
Ordered mine. Cheers 👍
Ive just bought one.! Love it!
Hi 👋 thank you for watching
Ingenious bit of kit and for £18 you can’t go wrong 👍👍
It’s on sale for £12 on Amazon. I had one for the whole of last year. Maybe 50 fires on it. Drunk idiot stood on it 2 weeks ago. Bought another one straight away. Cools and can be packed away in less than 3min. Awesome buy.
Just bought one gonna use it tomorrow 😊
Great help
Thanks for good review again neat kit
Looks quite practical
I think this is a great idea - especially when wild camping, to keep the fire off the ground
Just bought this myself and looking to use it in france when I go camping soon.
Great video. I was thinking of getting one of these for a family camping trip next month & you’ve got me sold. Really use instructions. I think £18 is a bargain
I have had one of these a while, I love it!!! Me and my grandson went out with it last Sunday to try making cheese on toast and it worked amazingly! CHEESE ON TOAST In The WOODS!!!!!! I have a small metal plate that fits under the mesh, just big enough to do one piece at a time 🤤 I also love that it will burn ur wood completely. It's an awesome little pit 😁 it burns really hot, I've had about 10 fires in mine so far and no signs of wear yet.
Just ordered one of them dan I think they're really good thanks for sharing 👍🏼🖤
I've a have one these. It's a good little fire pit
Love the channel... In The Scouts we call a raised fire an " Altar Fire "
Looks really good mate I might buy one, good review mate ... ady
Looks Good Dan 👍👍
I just bought one of these I went to a campground where they don't want fires on the ground so I got one of these and they had no problem. Mine looks different but I like mine a lot. Mine is not mesh but mine folds 2 different ways I really like it i mostly I use it out in the forests when I go to a public campground. I just take it in case, I will use it when the weather is dry. I got mine from cabellas thumbs up I love your channel be safe
Nice one Dan, I bought one of these about 3 months ago on Amazon and it was only £14, they are a nice piece of kit for not much money !!
These are great for putting damp or wet clothes under neath to dry stuff out works a treat. Well worth the money. 👏🏻👍😀
Comfy Outback has used one of these for some time and he gets into some unusual places. Appears a good piece of kit. Thanks for the review. Bushyboy Oz.
Hey mate I have had one for about ten years and it's still going strong, I also have a bedroll grill that I use with it to cook on. In Joy
My mate was the n about this thing when we were out at weekend Dan ,looks a good idea
Fabulous bit of kit. £17 in Go Outdoors. Love it!
Works brilliant with my smithy made tripod!!
Full raised fire pit! Totally agree bruv! And yes this is good watching mate don't over think it! You make stellar content! Anywho stay blessed brother and thanks a ton for sharing this bruv! Cheers, Jerbs

Brilliant m8
Thank you 🙂
Great review once again 👍
good bit of kit ,good vid by the way good effort
Thankyou John
Good bit of kit for price good video 👍
We've got one of these. They're fantastic. We put an old oven pan on the fire with a layer of foil and then double wrap chicken breasts, spices, oil etc, in foil, and they cook nice and slowly without burning. 👌
always enjoyable
I have this pit, love it...
What do u cook on it Paula?
@@Manos-de-Piedra I don't tend to cook on it I just use it for a fire, but Ive seen people put a grill on top and cook on that.
New here, thank you for this
canny bit o kit mate 👍👍👍👍🔥🔥
Interesting piece of kit. A lot of youtubers do kit reviews at home. Like you said no point going out to do a review if you’re not going anyway. Gives you more time to do more reviews!👍🏻

I would have paid £18.00 for this fire pit but i managed to find basically exactly the same for £13.98 on temu! Keep the videos coming dan love your content
Evening E W , I have had one 6 months great piece of kit.
I hate seeing burnt grass and vegetation whilst treking. This could resolve the problem ! Thanks for the great vid.
Most camping toys are cool. Nice bit of kit but give me my EWM stove any day. Thanks and stay safe.
I've got one. Use it often
Great review Dan. £15.99 on your link and just purchased! Many Thanks :)
The first time I saw one of these, was a few years ago on a Japanese RUclips channel. The UCO folding fire pit is another good option.
Good for use in the snow and when the ground is wet.
Thanks for the video but it was too late to keep me out of trouble with my missus I've already burnt hole in the back lawn with a different firepit 😄
Great vid as always Dan. Definitely worth it for the price leaving no trace! Just a shame the idiots spoiling wild camping haven't got one of these
Nice video and new sub here 👌👍 was looking at buying one for camping with the family but wasn't sure if they'd be any good, definitely going to buy one now 👍
Definitely why not 👍🏽 Worth a try for the price brother. Hope your well brother best wishes 👍🏽👍🏽😎
It's a raised fire pit. As long as the mesh lasts, it's absolutely worth the price.
Oh no 5 👎🏻If you don’t like the video don’t kin Watch then. Good video Dan. It’s a nice idea 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That actually looks a lot better than I thought they would be. I'd be interested to see how long they last.
P.s nothing wrong with trying any kit at home mate, it’s a wise thing to do imo, ... better to find any faults or missing bits at home rather than in the field! Thumbs up from me brother 👍🏽👍🏽😎
Dan
Great device. Great for places were fires are allowed. But stealth camping, don’t think so. Be spotted miles away. 🔥
I love your'e vids ,this is ok for a fire, but I have the Uco fire pit / bbq which is brill !
Just ordered one from Amazon (£10.99 with a voucher!) and off wild camping with it this weekend…
Good idea not a bad price. Don't think I would buy one .But you never know like one of them drunken nights then you go on amazon lol . Keep the vids coming I enjoy watching them and by watching yours and other people's videos on RUclips has made me get out and about myself. Cheerd
Good morning Dan .The video was Spot On for that little review of that fire pit looks good.
By the way in my last comment you asked me what I'd like to see reviewed and that is the o e x hammock. Because it is controversial and you do not use it anymore.
@@andrewfrank5602 hi mate keep away from it it's no good ,I had to change things on my one to make it work
@@andrewfrank5602 look at the onetigris hammock
Come on then Dan do an honest review of the oex hammock .You said you want to be known for doing honest reviews now your chance to do a real honest one?.
@@andrewfrank5602 i have it all in plan mate
On order thanks 😊
and some of us were putting trout in foil on it ....lol...lol
cracking piece of kit pall.
peace.
Nice little piece of kit. Would be useful if the ground is damp and if you don't want to leave any trace.
Buying one of these for a 5 day camp along the NC500 just wondering how long that mesh would last before burning through
If I remember correctly I think you have a Tri pod will it fit over your raised fire pit if so it would make it great for times when the ground is wet
It looks good, the one on Amazon says it is 22" but is only £14.99 mmmm, it looks the same size, maybe they measured across the corners. I made one at home out of an old pressure vessel cut on half, but it's not portable and not as neat. Thanks for sharing mate.
A ten quid fire blanket to stand it on,keep the grass safe good too go!!!👍
Eh up Dan. I've seen these on eBay. Pretty cool. Raised? I made a pit out of an old biscuit tin some years back, it were alright until the fire burnt through and the mrs went ape over 'her' patio. I finally built a brick and grill barbecue which she was happy about. Oh sorry Mr. Sado but i like Dan's videos, if you don't like 'em you don't have to watch or spoil the enjoyment of others. Thumbs up matey, no problem. (I wonder if Mr. Sado is compensating for something?)
