I curious. carwow tested a "stock" M340 vs. RS4. It was very close on ¼ mile and 1000m. This m340 did a 4.7 to 100 and 17 seconds to 200. A rs4 is doing that in 3.7 to 100 and 0-200 in 13 seconds.

I doubt these m340i's produce 374hp or whatever they do. If you dyna them with RON98, they will probaly do 400hp.
I saw that vid too, and it was weird to see how audi was a little faster when it has 76hp and 100Nm more than BMW. Something is not OK with carwow's RS4

The dashboard is hideous in new bemers. It looks like vomit and has the tachometer that goes the wrong way round. Why couldn't they go for something clean like Alfa Romeo or Lexus (F sport)?
Get this thing to Alpina: 462 hp 700 (!) nm and no limiter (300 kph for the estate ➡️B3. An absolute Dream car and RS4 destroyer! But I like them both...
put that up against any pre OPF Audi 2018 and prior this thing would look like a slug relax.

I think its more the other way around, they are losing what makes them different.
Now every M, AMG and RS car is the same as its rival models... I personally find it pretty sad.
M5, E63 and RS6 are the same car now: 4 liter turbo v8, 4wd, automatic...
Remember when it was a 5 liter V10 RWD vs 6.2 liter V8 RWD vs 4.2 liter twin turbo V8 4WD (and later the V10 from the R8)??? That shit was awesome, everyone had their own take on the super-saloon.

@@iTxip Eu regulations my friend , no more big engines. As for awd its necessary in 2020 when a m5 can produce 625hp in letter and 680hp in dyno. who can launch a 680hp rwd m5 ? or even worse , who can drive it when it's rainy ? if you want to drift or make burnouts you can switch it to rwd and that's it , same thing. I find it an amazing technology by both bmw and mercedes. As for audi , I don't think they are copying it , they just dont need it

kize32 this is not a proper M car, a real M has a fully M engine and roadtrain, this is basically a 3series with a bmw engine and roadtrains which has been tuned by M, its not the same

This is very weird measurement result. This car is measured around 4,1 sec 0-100 and might beat M4 or even RS4. Dragy measurements do not show that at all.
True, this dragy is somewhat unreliable than Mat's real equipment
You guys know there are a lot of factors involved right?
- Ambient temp.
- Tire temp.
- Surface
- Amount of fuel in the tank
- Weight of the people/equipment in the car
- Altitude
- Fuel type

What the ... this is a BMW M340i !!! Why can't it go faster than 266 km / h ??? Even our family car does more 🙄 ... And we have an Audi Q5 TDI 190 hp (without Quattro). The acceleration is ok, but the top speed is not convincing ... I would have expected more from BMW ... 🙁
An you mean the audi tach that goes to 280?
190hp will never push you above 235-240kmh. Especially in a Q5 I would say 220max. If yours does more than 260, you have way more than 250hp.
